This guy knows how to kiss
Every drama with this guy in it. I will wholeheartedly watch any of his dramas. He makes you want feel you want him to kiss you. He is so passionate with his kisses and his acting is so versatile. True man who defends and protects and fights for her woman. I loved this drama, the story could be better but it is not bad but the acting is so so so good! He need to get out of mini dramas and go into longer episode dramas. Watch!! You won't be disappointed. Was this review helpful to you?
***Fate is never working against your wishes in this Rainkissed Romance***
DaiGao portrays a hardcore vicous boxer YuChen with a heart of gold-whose reputation took a total splatter over a cheating scandal- and he gets even more embittered when the beautiful woman he had a one-night stand with six years ago has returned to demand a Marriage contract with him. Unknown to him, their passionate night resulted in twins and Bu Yan who is portrayed by ChenFang needs another child from him to save their son. Its a insane summary, but it works so well to the rainy comfy tone and the delicious chemistry between DaiGao & ChenFang. Was this review helpful to you?
Fun Watch
I don't have too much to say about this drama. I just watched it all in one sitting and it was fun. This is a web series so my expectations for production and everything is not the same as a regular drama and I also am not as familiar with C-Dramas as K-dramas but I saw this pop up and thought it would be fun. The only thing that really truly bothered me is that they never gave the main lead an undershirt for his suit. We couldn't afford an undershirt for the wedding fr?? The show is engaging and worth a watch if you are bored and looking to watch cheesy drama unfold! Was this review helpful to you?
Top of the Junk
This drama is highly entertaining but more or less is the definition of guilty pleasure trash, but high it truely is quality trash. Just turn off your brain, and enjoy the leads devour each other. Where lust meets lip gloss and fluffy filters and umbrellas, oh such great umbrellas.Aggressive kisses.... Aggressive everything... Who needs consent when the lead has oiled chest muscles so hot you could fry en egg. Forget about the past... I must have you... you looked at another man I must punish you with kisses... and honestly shirts are so overrated. And while I admit most of these kisses felt wrong to watch they were really, really good to watch too.
While the male lead is styled like a bare chested gangster our female lead looks like a Disney princess, cleaning the house looking like snow white and running around in heels wherever shegoes. That said she may have her secrets but she is pretty cool, smart and has amazing chemestry with our male lead making this one of the hottest webdramas I have seen in a long time.
Second leads that are so obsessed they make our passionate, aggressive red flag male lead look like a little kitten.
Kids are more like accessories and the village people are horrible bit each leads side kicks are worth a spin off.
But to sum it upp:
Logic? Who needs that
Medical accuracy? Nee
Consistency? No need for that either
Explanations? Nope
Real dialog? Not so much
Basically if you can live with all of the above you will be compensated with fireworks, kisses and mind numbing twists... Guilty pleasure entertainment at its best.

cute at first then got irritating and repetitive
This was a cute little watch, I'm not expecting Oscar level acting or Emmy winning writing, very fun for mini series. The FL and ML had so much chemistry, the kiss scenes were amazing and I really loved seeing them interact on the screen , however, the story started to get very repetitive. Every 2 episodes one of them was getting hurt, if not both. The SFL and SML can not take a hint to save their life, they make this show so unbearable, its literally so hard to ignore. They would constantly pester the FL and ML even after being rejected a hundred times.Same note about the Fl's brother (hes an asshole), there were just so many characters that created unnecessary drama.
While the FL and ML gave the illusion of being mature, talking out their feelings and trusting each other, they were still very naive, and made stupid decisions (like the FL not telling the ML that her twins were his kids too). I'm not going to lie this show was just way too dramatic, its quick but there is a lot of drama.

Did I have a great time watching this drama? YES. Would I watch it again? YES. Do I recommend it? YES — but only to people who enjoy turning their brains off and aren’t bothered by flaws. Very often while watching it, I felt like I was watching premium ReelShorts. The acting from everyone (except Dai Gao Zheng) was, at times, overly exaggerated — which may be the script’s fault — but combined with the occasionally over-the-top action, it created exactly that kind of vibe. Personally, it didn’t bother me.When it comes to the relationship of the main couple — Bu Yan & He Yu Chen — I think one trigger warning is crucial. At one point, the male lead, in a fit of anger, attempts to se*ually assault her. He does come to his senses and nothing happens, but the very fact alone means this is not a show for everyone. There are also forced kisses, and although her later reaction to a similar attempt by another man suggests that she did want them with He Yu Chen, simply watching those scenes may trigger negative emotions for some viewers. For that reason, I would classify their relationship as dark romance, and personally, I liked it. Both of them would burn the world down to protect each other. Their chemistry was amazing, and their love was clearly visible.
Personally, I like the trope of the “bad,” wounded boy who still has a good heart — and that’s exactly who He Yu Chen was. In my opinion, despite his wrongdoings, he was the most interesting and best-written character. I also liked the fighting storyline itself and was glad that, after many years, he legally returned to it. However, I still wonder about the exact reason why they deliberately destroyed his career in the past, because it was never fully explained (or maybe I just forgot?). Another “premium ReelShorts” element appears in the fight scenes. The color of the blood looked so unrealistic that all the wounds seemed like there was no budget for a makeup artist and a child painted them with watercolors. At least later, during the healing process, they looked natural. On top of that, some fight scenes were highly unrealistic — for example, a guy was beating him with brass knuckles, and he ended up with nothing more than minor wounds and scratches.
On the positive side, their children were adorable. I didn’t check whether the illness and its treatment were medically accurate, but I think the storyline was handled well. That said, we never learned how He Yu Chen managed to find bone marrow for his son when no one else had been able to do so for years.
Regarding the storyline involving her father (Bu Hong Hui), I think the theme of his friendship with He Yu Chen’s father and his “involvement” in his death was handled very shallowly. Technically everything was explained, but to me it felt superficial. The coma storyline itself and everything surrounding it was interesting, but again, there were several “premium ReelShorts” flaws. First, her father’s employee knew perfectly well that he planned to break off his daughter’s engagement to Tang Ze — they literally discussed the consequences while signing the share transfer. Yet later, when he talked to her during her father’s coma, he claimed that her father told him nothing beyond the share transfer. Did he suddenly forget? Especially since he wasn’t a bad character. Second, I was genuinely amused by the fact that they talked about her father waking up any moment, and then suddenly we get a two-month time skip, and only then does he wake up. We heard nothing about any complications during that time, so I’m filing this under my category. Third — what happened to his wife? He Yu Chen kicked her out of the house while the man was in a coma, and we never saw her again. The father went to sleep with a wife, woke up without one, and didn’t care at all. XD
A personal complaint from a different category: the male lead was never even slightly angry that she initially accused him of being involved in what happened to her father. She didn’t even apologize after learning the truth — we just moved on. And who was the female lead’s mother, and what happened to her? Maybe it was mentioned and I forgot?
I’ll dedicate the final segment to annoying characters:
-> Tang Ze — my “favorite,” because no one else raised my blood pressure like he did. A disgusting man who clearly had something wrong with his head. I won’t dwell on it — he was just a psycho with connections. What deserves special mention is his ending, straight from the “premium ReelShorts” category: we see him watching the main couple’s wedding from a distance, then we get white text on a black screen informing us about his fate (he went to prison for many years). I found it comical, but apparently there was no budget to show a police/court/prison scene.
-> Chen Wen Li (Xia Chang Yin?) — ironically, she was the only one in whom I saw any genuine goodness, though it didn’t change my opinion of her, because she annoyed me endlessly from start to finish. For contrast, we see her contact the police herself, but we never learn what happens to her afterward.
-> Bu Jing Yang — finally, we know absolutely nothing. He simply vanished into thin air along with his mother.

Great Chemistry and Emotional Moments Despite the Flaws
Another drama with the amazing pairing of Chen Fang Tong and Dai Gao Zheng.Bu Yan and He Yu Chen had a one night stand, only to later find out that they had been drugged with an aphrodisiac by her brother. This encounter led to Bu Yan becoming pregnant with He Yu Chen's twins. Bu Yan disappeared from He Yu Chen, but a few years later she reapproaches He Yu Chen. The reason? Because Bu Yan's son had cancer and she had a proposition to make with He Yu Chen, pretend to be in a fake marriage. Bu Yan's reasoning? To conceive another child with him to save her son, similar to My Sister's Keeper, where a donor baby was created to save their sick daughter.
I have so many questions...like after their one night stand, why did Bu Yan leave without saying a word, especially since she was pregnant? Wouldn't the responsible thing to do be to tell He Yu Chen and give him the choice to be a father? I guess since she is an heiress she did not feel she needed him. Why go to such lengths to hide the truth, especially when her main reason for reconnecting with He Yu Chen was to save her son's life? Think of all the time wasted and all the unnecessary drama that could have been avoided if she had been honest from the start.
That said, the drama did a decent job showing how He Yu Chen gradually fell in love with Bu Yan. He saw her as a strong and independent woman, an amazing mother to her two kids, consistently present but also providing for them. I loved how strong Bu Yan is as a single mother of two. She never let other people's opinions phase her, and I loved the moments when she stood up for her children when they were disrespected.
I also enjoyed the underground fight scenes. They were different and added an exciting layer to the story. I loved the kids and their relationship with He Yu Chen. Despite Bu Yan being a single mother, he still fell in love with her and treated the kids as his own, even before knowing the full truth.
This drama had so much potential and some frustrating plot choices, but overall it was still enjoyable.

I feel like "pick up sticks"
The theme song is wonderful. The ML and FL have terrific chemistry and excellent acting skills. I would love to see them in a more conventional drama as well.I understand these vertically filmed dramas are a new genre. They seem to have their own rules. They remind me of the old fashion soap operas--overly dramatic but emotionally engaging. They're fast paced and somewhat shallow in content. They are immensely addictive. I would prefer seeing this particular drama as a more lengthy series and not chopped up into short segments. I am, however, binge watching this which says something for how hooked I am, but the frequent stops and starts kind of irritate me. I'm glad I'm watching this after all the episodes have aired.
Gaozheng Dai is totally hot. I will definitely watch more of his dramas. His kissing is off the charts. I like very much that the FL is sexually assertive and that their PG13 interactions are sensual. I do like that the drama is unashamedly sensual in nature and that the ML looks gorgeous without his shirt--over and over again. Thanks for that. Made my day.

Every Breath You Take
RainKissed Fate (2025) is a wonderful Chinese Melodrama which has the sauciness of the Korean Drama ‘Perfect Marriage Revenge’. This drama is about an Heiress (Bu Yan played by Chen Fang Tong), who has a one night stand with a Boxer (He Yu Chen played by Dai Goa Zheng), then she drops off the scene. When Bu Yan turns up pregnant with twins her family disowns her and kicks her out of the house. She is a strong woman and in spite of these issues, she builds a highly successful business. However, one of the twins gets leukemia, which sends her searching for the father for help.RainKissed Fate has the VIKI translation team named “How to Reclaim a Daddy”. The drama is a very sultry and a tantalizing romance drama of the ‘Heiress and the Boxer’. There is so much frisky physical contact between these two actors, you will stay up all night long to finish. RainKissed Fate is like the sensual Korean Drama ‘Nevertheless’, but still in a PG 13 kind of way. It is lots of fun with lots of visuals and heart throbbing action. There are 30 episodes, but each episode is less than 15 minutes per episode for this Chinese Drama Short. The Chinese are leaning towards Shorts this year. You can binge Rainkissed Fate in no time. This is the type of drama which will get you hooked to Chinese Dramas. You will look back and say, “This was my first one”.
Shorts are a new wave for Chinese dramas. Shorts have a short episode count and/or shortened time periods per episodes of under 20 minutes each. Grab popcorn and an air conditioner (required). You will need both.
Applying medicine is a love ritual.

Wow
I normally don’t watch short dramas because there’s just not enough time to develop the story or the characters and jump over much needed content like the cow jumping over the moon - nice try, but it’s always a miss. But this one, even though it felt a little disjointed at the beginning grabbed me from about ep 3. And talk about chemistry? I had to open doors and windows for fear of the fire coming off my TV triggering my smoke alarm.
The story was good. Rich heiress finds the man she had a one night stand with 6 years prior, manipulates him a bit by holding money over his head to help his sick mother get the treatment she needs. Little does she know he still harbors feelings for her, and she for him, but her desire to have another child so that the baby can donate bone marrow for the son who has just entered the critical stage of leukemia.
They get married after signing a marriage contract with a 3 month duration.
Enter crazy gossipy neighbor who wants her daughter to be with the ML, but he wants nothing to do with her. The acting from these two is terrible. Alrhough the mother pulled off the vicious gossip harpy to perfection - something that either takes a lot of practice, comes naturally or she’s experienced that in rl. The daughter doesn’t care if the ML is married. She wants what she wants and will do whatever it takes including lying and aiding in kidnapping and putting the ML’s mother in situations that cause her many health related attacks. Nasty family. Their acting was terrible.
The ex boyfriend is one of those characters you hate right away. Anither one of those people who won’t take no for an answer, fabricate situations to achieve his end, and even attempted assault and murder. He’s awkward and creepy.
The ML’s mother is overly dramatic and prone to having fits, feigning illness and screaming to manipulate her son. Some of her antics are understandable based on past events.
Then there’s the crazy doctor who is the FL’s exboyfriend who turns out to be the creepiest stalker and manipulator ever. His acting was okay in some places, but mostly it was like watching a chunk of wood lumber awkwardly around and recite lines.
Then the FL’s jealous and crazy brother. Worst actor ever. He had crazy in his eyes, terrible morals and used his wealth to have goons beat and harass people into submission. His character reminded me of a cornered chihuahua who would bite and snap and attack, then whine and blame his insanity on the FL.
The FL’s best friend was finally one who wasn’t an airhead or bounced around from partner to partner. She spoke her piece and then left it at that. This was a refreshing change of pace.
Two more overacted characters were the FL’s father and the wicked stepmother. Neither were convincable in their roles, and the stepmother wasn’t really needed to make the story better.
I have not seen the ML and FL aim any dramas before, but I was impressed by both of them. Their dialog, interaction as a couple and intimacy screens were spot on.
The FL is not a pushover. She doesn’t buy into lies nor does she fall for manipulations for very long. She’s a protective mother and despite her sharp words to the ML, she loves him as much as he loves her.
The ML was very much a master in his role. Strong, proud, protective and completely dedicated to the FL and has a pretty strong EQ. He risked his life and reputation to help her and protected. And let’s face it. He’s got the visuals. Plus, he knows that a kiss between lovers is not supposed to look like dead fish meeting dead fish.
