unusual beauty Is why i watched this to the end.
I enjoy the drama use of this unusual woman. It makes it so much easier to watch the acting. I struggled at first and eventually fell in love with this woman's acting. The story was bumpy, but I watched it only to see how her acting was, and it was great. I leave comments on the rest of the show for others. Was this review helpful to you?
Irritating characters, boring plot
I wanted to watch this because of Kim Hye-Yoon and a few scenes I saw on tiktok but all the characters were terribly infuriating and the storyline was so dull. Both leads came off as immature and honestly Lomon’s character continuously annoyed me because he just would not accept the consequences of his actions. I came here to read the reviews to see if it was worth finishing because I was on episode 4 waiting for things to get better but unfortunately it does not sound like it will. Dropped the show. Was this review helpful to you?
If you’re thinking of watching this, don’t.
I was genuinely excited for this pairing but was disappointed bc of how much this show was lacking.1) They only had good chemistry as friends and zero as lovers.
2) Events were happening but the plot wasn’t actually progressing, the writing was sh*t
3) They were trying too hard to evoke emotions by adding that random filter and music in places it wasn’t needed.
4) I hate time jumps and this one was way too long
Overall, this was boring and underwhelming and I’m surprised I finished it 😭

A FOX WHO HATES BEING HUMAN
Unlike the usual Gumiho stories where the fox wants a soul, Eun-ho has no interest in being human. After seeing her sister’s short and tragic life centuries ago, she decides that being human isn’t worth it. She spends her immortality living a glamorous, cynical life, granting wishes for the rich in exchange for luxury. But her carefully controlled world falls apart when she literally and magically crashes into Kang Si-yeol, a famous and self-absorbed soccer star. The accident makes Eun-ho lose her powers and become an ordinary human, suddenly facing the messy emotions and physical weaknesses she’s avoided for 500 years.Kim Hye-yoon keeps impressing with her lively, expressive acting. Her Eun-ho isn’t a tragic lead; she’s bratty, arrogant, and focused on getting what she wants, which makes her growth feel real. Lomon’s Si-yeol is the perfect calm counterpart to Eun-ho’s wild energy. Their journey from bickering to romance is driven by their clash of chaos and discipline, something fans of Lovely Runner or My Demon will enjoy. The show avoids the usual ‘sad immortal’ story and instead looks at identity and freedom, asking if a long, safe life is really better than a short, meaningful one.
Still, the show sometimes has trouble balancing its silly comedy with deeper, emotional moments. One moment you’re watching a goofy soccer training scene, and the next, there’s a serious historical flashback. In the middle episodes, the story leans a lot on the ‘wish-granting’ monster-of-the-week setup, which can get repetitive before the main plot picks up again near the end. The CGI for Eun-ho’s tails looks great, but some of the supernatural effects seem a bit old-fashioned.
Overall, No Tail to Tell is lively, fun, and a bit chaotic. It doesn’t try to be groundbreaking, but it works because it keeps things light. If you want an easy weekend watch with great acting and an ‘enemies-to-soulmates’ feel, you’ll enjoy this show.

relationship dinamic
the story is kind of fast pace and a bit of a mess. but honestly i actually enjoy the story haha. i binge only 2-3 days for whole episodes.and for chemistry dinamic, the character suit to pair as a sibling duo because them bickering is the best part. no strong build up for romance though, just really out of the place in the second half.
i would rate it as enjoyable to past the time, but not that deep to be remember for a long time or have a fandom through the years
i love both lead, their acting saved the series.

No tail to tell
There can be small spoilers.Well I really hoped that in the end it would be 8/10, unfortunately I have few problems with this drama eventhough I liked it.
As far as it is a mix of Doom at your service (which I love with my whole heart) and Tale of the nine tailed (which also is a perfect drama) something was missing - probably lack of 4 more episodes. Really as far as it felt too long at moments it also felt like it was missing some story/development, It was like any drama from this genre which was 16 episodes cut down to 12 episodes but in wrong places. They could tell more about villains, past of gumiho, they struggles or if Lee Si Woo was a reborn?
I do not really liked soccer/football plot, there could be less of it - but it simply my "no". Hmm I also do not like time jump, 9 years was too much - in general I think that they fu*ked up timeline (or translation).
Move a little to characters:
1. Kim Hye Yoon - it is not a first drama where I saw he (first was Snowdrop) and to be honest ( I am not pride of it), really shame on me) I was not planning to watch anything with her because her visuals was something off for me, but she was amazing. I know that her character was supposed to be annoying at times but I liked her, she potrayed everything perfectly.
2. Lee Si Woo - she was also amazing as gumiho.
3. Jang Dong Joo - I have to admit that I was etiher hoping for some love triangle (I really felt more chemistry between KHY and him) or with LSW. I am also happy with his storyline and that in the end he was not a villain.
4. Lomon - I know that as main I should put him higher but unfortunately he was my biggest let down in this drama. I was not really seeing their chemistry because of him, I did not like his character simply because of his personality, how he was so arrogant at the beggining and eventhough there were supposed to be some development I did not see it, he turned out hmmm I do not want to say pathetic but I really do not know which other word to use. It is not hate to him, I know he is good actor but maybe directing failed here or simply his character was poorly written - at the same it was nice to see that it was now female character who dissapeared.
*Woo Da Vi - I loved her cameo, they could left her as new KHY's friend, personally I feel like it was missed opportunity.
To sum up - not bad, I believe that some people will love it.

No Tail to Tell presents a grounded and thought-provoking narrative that delves into fundamental aspects of human nature—ego, greed, ambition, and desire. At its core, the drama explores how choices driven by money and pride can quietly unravel lives and relationships. However, the series suffers from its short runtime. While the story begins with a careful buildup, the pacing becomes noticeably rushed toward the end, particularly in the final episode. The climax leans heavily into melodrama, which somewhat undermines the subtlety established in earlier episodes.
The romantic arc, unfortunately, lacks convincing chemistry. The connection between the leads never fully matures on screen, making pivotal scenes—especially the kiss—feel abrupt and emotionally underwhelming. Instead of feeling like a natural culmination of growing tension, it comes across as rushed and insufficiently developed.
That said, the shortcomings seem more related to writing and production choices than to the actors themselves. Both leads have already proven their talent in other projects. In particular, Kim Hye-yoon once again demonstrates her screen presence, and her stylist deserves special praise—the wardrobe was exceptionally well done and elevated her character beautifully, adding depth and visual consistency to her portrayal.
Overall, No Tail to Tell is an intriguing drama with meaningful themes and solid performances. While it doesn’t fully reach its potential due to uneven pacing and production decisions, it still offers a compelling and aesthetically polished viewing experience.

Although the female protagonist's rapid-fire, cutting delivery is at times unsettling, I often fell asleep watching this series. This gives you an idea of how interesting the plot is.A famous soccer player left a wish to a friend, who took his place on the national team, leaving him penniless in the fourth division.
She, the nine-tailed fox, wants to restore the situation but loses her powers and becomes human. She then tries to perform good deeds to return to being the immortal fox she once was and make up for her mistakes.
She begins to date him, both pretending and then for real... but I found this couple to be fake, cold, and lacking chemistry.

Was Expecting Someone Better But Was Disappointed!!
The tale of the nine-tailed fox, albeit with a twist!!There are too many shows portraying the infamous “Gumiho” or the famed nine-tailed foxes. They are mystical, magical and intriguing. The show draw inspiration from these verifiable sources, to project a nine-tailed fox with twisted tendencies. That is at least new, because I have never seen a more money-minded gumiho in Korean shows before. Our main lead, Eun Ho loves to bend fate and control humans, at the cost of a lame payment. Her so-called deals allow her to lead a luxurious life while she strives hard to shy away from humanity. Everything is well until she switched dates between two men and Heaven punishes her by stripping her powers and turning her into a measly human being. Both main leads have their own flaws; the male lead is arrogant & narcissistic, while the female lead is money minded and greedy. The plot focuses on their arc of redemption!

A gift that’s nicely wrapped but empty inside
I'm disappointed, which is why I'm writing this review. The story falls into my favorite genre, so I watched it all the way through to the end. But what a drag. The main plot could easily fit into a single episode, but it's stretched out over 12 (and thank goodness it wasn't 16). Everything in between the plot twists of the main story is boring, predictable, and at times irrelevant. FL has an over-the-top acting style that doesn’t fit here at all. ML seems like Ken—flat and empty. There’s no chemistry between the two. The production is high quality, but honestly, they could have spent more on the writing instead of creating a gift that’s nicely wrapped but empty inside. Was this review helpful to you?

No head or tail to the story...
Not the drama I expected….I hoped for a light fantasy drama but this was really dry and boring. Firstly I really could not get to like the female lead’s character. There was nothing about her character for the male lead to suddenly go “oh I think I like her”. The ML’s personality on and off was a bit weird as well. So when he became super famous he suddenly became so arrogant and picky so when he went back to being poor hes supposed to feel more angry and annoyed. But after a while suddenly he just goes back to being humble and soft??The leads had alot of potential to become a cute couple but with the really bad character development and plot there was no chemistry…The plot was too draggy 12 episodes felt too long for this drama. She has been living for sooo many years but she is less mature than him and she does stuff without thinking about the consequences despite multiple warnings. So her character was really not likeable….
Disappointed with this one unfortunately :(

MY FAVOURITE DRAMA EVER!
No Tail to Tell had such low ratings that left me shocked because this drama was genuinely so heartwarming and cute. I mean, it was very lovable. The first three episodes are no doubt boring, and I felt like dropping it because I was bored, but the way it picks up after that is amazing. I absolutely love both the main leads, and I kid you not, the calmness and patience with which the main lead, Siyeol, handles Eunho’s tantrums was to die for. I was giggling, blushing, and dying just watching that. The gentleness he showed to her and their banter was so fun and good. Literally, both were just so ready to die for each other. Episode 11 made me cry so much. Siyeol was just so down for her, and when Eunho sacrificed herself for him, I cried. They are so beautiful, my babies. But I felt so utterly sad to know that they spent literally ten years without each other. Even then, Eunho never changed, and that is literally so her, because after she became the fox again, she met him after ten years and was like, let’s break up. Girl, come on, that man is crying. Still, they got their happy ending, and this might be the first 12 episode drama I have seen this year that actually did not rush the ending and showed proper scenes of them going on a date and being happy. Considering Eunho is still a fox, it would have been better if they had not shown that Siyeol would die and Eunho would just live without him. Never mind, I still think she would not live after him because they are just way too much in love. All his friends also got their happy endings too, and I am so happy that no ends were left loose.
