Boyfriend on Demand is a fun and lighthearted romance that perfectly mixes humor, chemistry, and emotional moments. The story follows a fake-dating setup that quickly turns into something much deeper, keeping readers entertained from start to finish. The characters feel relatable, and their banter adds a lot of charm to the story.

Absolutely Wonderful

At first I just wanted to see all the guys like they showed in trailer, of course I stayed for the same.
But I was amazed how wonderfully it was made. Netflix has done it again. The plot, the combination with technology which was believable and wishful (honestly people should just make it, I will earn money and spend on it, hey tech guys, you listening?), the cast and surprisingly, the acting. I was so amazed to see such good acting from all the actors, including side characters and all others. I know Jisoo has not explored much but she nails this type of character, maybe because she is exactly like this? And I was not a fan of the actor, but wow, he enchanted me in this one. He is good.
The kiss scenes were also good? honestly I was surprised but they had good kiss scenes.

Jisoo's Chemistry to all Boyfriends

Don't let anyone fool you that Jisoo's acting is so bad. She's a really a great great actress and made for romcom like I will watch all Jisoo's acting again over and over again with the Boyfriends because the Chemistry is top tier!!!! And I wish someone cast Jisoo and Kangjoon in a separate drama also romcom as a main leads pleaseee I'm begging.

I usually don't like romance dramas but this series is 10/10 ??

I really love this drama. Honestly, I started watching 'Boyfriend on Demand' for Jisoo's amazing acting, but I quickly realized the drama itself is just as great. I truly love the story and the rest of the cast, especially the male leads! I also deeply relate to Seo Mirae—I'm honestly so in love with her character.

Did a marathon watch and it was awesome

I expected something more lighter than this but in fact the comedic parts are what made the drama more lighthearted. The device usage is like a combo of 3 Black Mirror episodes which I've watched but I forgotten the titles; 1. The virtual game where players can feel and taste everything 2. Subscriptions about personal life that needs monthly renewal or the person will feel lost 3. Where actors can go in to movies and relive the scenes like they're real.

FL has chemistry with everyone, and when she dislikes someone it's really felt; she doesn't like the guy she met from dinner and it feels distance between the two. So this really made us feel connected to her and her 'boyfriends'.

Really love the seamless writing of her ex and the boyfriends too, though she might not need the device if he didn't shows up with marriage news. She went from being curious to getting addicted to it, which was neatly explained with consequences and what her view on it.

Main couple love story is really really cute. Wish they had shown more. Think this is what they missed out on since the virtual bf looks like him, they forgot to give them more of their own moment with dialogues. However in general it was well put together. Truly enjoyed this that I had to leave comment since idk the last time I havent drop drama or romcom half way in..

A very low stakes but surprisingly satisfying rom-com.

I'm generally not really a fan of idol-dramas. I understand that fandoms sell advertising $, but it so often reflects in the quality. I was definitely ready to have to put my judgement aside to enjoy this. But it has been utterly unnecessary. This is definirely NOT an idol drama, though it does feature a couple of actors who come from that realm.

This show is actually good. It is a great antidote in troubling times. Nothing is expected of you as a viewer except to turn off your brain and be entertained. Just go ahead and enjoy it!

I am convinced that troll factories (sometimes fandoms) have search terms set up, so they can target their toxic engagement. Or in fandom circumstances, gatekeep. Along with *female *gender *trans *race *misogyny *incel...you can insert any idol name and expect to get trolled. I apologise for not using the female actors' name but I'm wanting to stick with my experience of this show as light, funny, stomach fluttering cheese-charm. I will say, that this is by far her best performance. It has become embarrassingly apparent to me in recent years, that I find screeches and deep, belly-based shouts, in comedies, hilarious. I really don't know why. I suppose I must do the personal work and grow up as a human...but anyway, she does a fantastically funny screech. It is put to great use in this drama. I laughed out loud a lot! And Seo In Guk is as belly-butterflyingly great as ever. And the support cast, that amazing list of actors, is hilarious! I can definitely imagine myself rewatching this, when I'm in need of something low-demand, entertaining and PRETTY!

For those who still require some brain stimulation, I am intrigued by the BoD system. We know that personalised sex dolls exist. We know that people believe they are in relationships with AI boyfriends/girlfriends. Interestingly the uptake of these systems, is predominantly by cis-gender heterosexual men. I do wonder about how popular a BoD system would actually be amongst women. And I wonder, how potentially, socially catastrophic, in a culture like SK, with already very low birth rates and highly reported gender-inequality. That, for me, would be an interesting discussion.

Forced hate

I went into this series due to the hate it got online. I needed to know why it was being thrashed so badly even with the big names involved in this work.
I started the first episode ... the second .... the third..... until I finished the whole series, although the plot isn't as elaborate as I would like, I still watched the whole thing without skipping a scene. Take it with a grain of salt but I never watched a Kdrama without skipping those filler scenes.
The acting is what pulled me. A lot of people will disagree on this one, but the FL's acting is the most natural not over the top type of acting you would ever see. no one has ever dated an IU - WLGYT type gf but all of us can almost attest to dating a Jisoo - BOD type gf at least once.
In guk's acting was top tier as always. jisoo's acting maybe rough around the edges but who are we to judge a rising actor after their third work. If you compare newtopia to Boyfriend on Demand, newtopia would be like those bitter cough syrap and boyfriend on demand would be like those vitamin jellies you get at your local drugstore .
I believe in her ability to grow.

BOD dates are fun & unrealistic but reality is emotional

this is a light romcom, no hidden or messy plot. just clear & purely romcom with a little emotional touch in some episodes. Jisoo as Seo Mirae & Seo Inguk as Park Kyungnam is well written characters & both actor & actress portrayed their characters so well. Early episodes shows Seo Mirae using the apps to go on fun dates as she's not interested doing so in real life. She is supposed to be a cringe character when using the unrealistic dating apps. In half the series we actually get something from the main characters about their feelings. and gradually creating more tensions in real life. towards the end of the series it's getting more intense & we finally get a proper closure for them. the slow burn romance might be boring for people who enjoy pure comedy or thrill seekers, but it made me feels emotional & rooting for the main characters.

This drama promises something unique in the romcom world and delivered more than that

I honestly just finished binging this and I am still thinking about it. I wasn't sure what to expect with the whole virtual boyfriend thing, but I ended up being so hooked. Jisoo was definitely the best part of the whole show for me. She was so good at playing someone who is just completely done with everything, and her acting felt really natural, especially when she was being awkward or stressed out at her job. It didn't feel like some fake TV version of a person; it felt like someone you actually know. The mix of the high-tech dating stuff and the regular office drama worked way better than I thought it would.

writing this as a kdrama fan which i became way before i dived into kpop and blackpink

if u want to explore lots of genre's at once please give it a go its gonna be so worth it.
as someone who was once a binge watcher of almost every kdrama, but these days it was really hard to find one. first ep do keep me seated but then they dramas felt like they fell off hook. started watching as a jisoo fan but trust me, the whole story is so freaking interesting. the casting was of course one of the main reasons to keep someone seated. and then the colouring. it was really good too it felt so lively. and as i kept watching it felt like something that could actually happen in real life. some of it is already happening, how some women are using AI to feel closer to their favourite fictional characters. who knows when the use of VR might start as well. watched the first 2 ep at first then binge watched the rest of it. gotta say the story was superb and jisoo's acting has improved a lot. it felt like the character came to real life. and watching her experience dating her VR bf's it makes u wanna say ""wait we want more of their story"". as for me it happened with her 2nd date. please cast them together in a series with the exact same theme T-T. anyway if i try to say anything i might end up giving spoilers which i dont wanna do, i kept myself away from watching spoiler videos or edits and it was a really good decision.
