Not so good
“Eternal Joy With You” was too boring. I was excited to see both the leads together again, playing opposite each other. I missed their drama with an obsessed-love storyline, so I highly anticipated this one. But I’m sorry to say that it turned out to be a completely senseless love story. The spark between the leads was missing. It was not at all— not even an inch— comparable to their previous drama together.Was this review helpful to you?
Another rinse and repeat drama
When I saw that He Xuanlin and Yan Zixian would be working together a third time, I was very happy as they were great together in Love & Bid Farwell. Unfortunately this drama falls short, despite having more likable characters compared to that drama.We have another female lead who was wronged by her husband and his family. She is sent back in time upon death, and attempts to get revenge on those that wronged her. As always she is helped by a general type of ml, who supports her and show up at whenever she needs saving.
It is a common plot, which can be fun if you haven't already seen it many times.
The directing was nothing special, and the cinematography did not stand out. There is no memorable background music.
All in all my "high" rating of 7 is mostly due to the fact that I like the leads, and they are the reason why I finished it.
If you want a drama where a female leads takes revenge on people who have wronged her, there are countless dramas with better execution.
