Thanks for being a friend - the power of film

'If I go to your house it will end up a big deal'..Avoiding intimacy, confessions, or something that would make one of them change their mind on next steps?Good university, good job - does THAT equal a good adult? Maybe no chaos, no trouble, but maybe no speaking the truth - to the heart or head. Being a bystander, allowing g bad things to happen and saying nothing. Can tell. Neither of them wants to be apart. But it looks like something they have to do as it'll make life better for them both. Neither articulates what they really mean to one another. As we discover later by letter. Looks as if Yin and his friends are more creative than imagined. Also Haruki is recognised as handsome by his circle, too. The DVD from early on is significant, as are screenings.

reading the comments one would think Minase…

reading the comments one would think Minase poured his heart & got rejected. he didn't(!) as per usual he stood mute, rooted to the ground not being able to verbalize what he wanted to say. cause he's indecisive about what's the right course of action. the only truthful thing he said was that he was selfish & childish. yes, he is immature & it isn't something shameful to admit & i would go so far as to say that even being selfish, isn't all bad. everything going on in Hirukawa's life, made Minase feel like he was in over his head. that's why he didn't fight to keep Hirukawa, by confessing his feelings or telling him that he hadn't brought him bad luck. *************************************************************************************************************************************************as i pointed out in a previous comment Hirukawa needed to distance himself from everyone in his life (yes, even Minase) he needed to learn how to put himself & his well being before others!!! that will come by being alone, where nobody knows him & doesn't have any prejudices & preconceived notion's cause who he was perceived to be (a delinquent, troublemakers). that will come where he doesn't need to 'look after' anyone else (as he will ALWAYS put other before himself). for his self-esteem he needs to be alone & see that he can succeed. when he realizes his own worth, then he will realize that he is worthy of being loved, that he isn't less then.. so yeah this ep wasn't easy emotionally (to watch), but it was a healthy mature choice.
