Smoking, drinking, sleeping, crying

I won't contact you isn't the same as I can't. Hm. Did they actually change numbers? I asked that before a much later scene and still wonder. Argh. You're going to see your ex who had an abusive alcoholic dad and you get drunk? Off-putting is an understatement. Guess Jin's not used to drink. Missing the screening, too - insulting to his work. Shiba seems to have loosened up. Nemoto is much the same. Jin's changed but doesn't seem to be for the better. Haruki is calmer, quietly confident and, unlike Jin, sharing his creative work with others, albeit a bit reluctantly. Haruki has become strong without Jin. Jin has been alone so long that alone at university is not an opportunity for maturing. He needs to love and be loved to develop emotionally. The lighting from day to night, shadow to clarity is well done. Odd episode in a way - trying to fill in a 5 year gap.

yr(s) have passed but Minase hasn't changed…

yr(s) have passed but Minase hasn't changed much (his only "growth" r in bad habits like drinking & smoking), Hirukawa on the other hand seems to be in a better place emotionally. so yes i want Hirukawa to be happy & find love, but i also want/need someone that he doesn't needs to take care of & hand hold throughout their relationship... *************************************am i being too harsh on Minase? considering everything Hirukawa has suffered & lived through, fighting to make something of himself, he deserves someone that worked equally hard at being a worthy person for him. too much to ask?!? guess i am the only jaded person here

Main characters are barely shown in this ep

Honestly this ep felt very much so like a fuller episode. The main characters were barely shown and together they had about 5 minute max screen time which is so annoying. I get this episode was meant to show how much they changed from their high school years but it didn't even really show that, I was so so so disappointed that I waited a week just for the episode to be mostly or mainly about the best friend with the glasses.
