Decent drama with a good deal of sentimentalism
Started this as a "filler" drama & found it more interesting than I expected. I would have given this a higher score but1) the lengthy farewells of the ghosts at the end of each case were overly sentimental.
2)One ghost inexplicably showed up though there was no needed resolution/mystery to be solved.
Also, it was predictable that a particular ghost was going to show up eventually.
3) The ghost "possessions" didn't always work well in the story & since there was a known remedy it kept begging the
question :"why didn't they use it more!?"
4) One ghost possession had me cringing because of the budding romance between characters - without spoiling- all I can say is that it was a good thing it was a slow burn romance because otherwise the "eu" factor was setting in strong!
5) Leads looked a bit "worn" ( showing thier age in thier faces)-the make up artist mistakenly thought that making thier faces shiny would make them look younger.
6) Female lead looks like she has cheek fillers & they keep putting her in high waisted granny pants that don't make the most of her figure.
An episode or 2 before the end of the series the leads inexplicably look healthier & less shiny.
7) I was hoping for better resolution of the 2nd male lead and his relationship with the leads at the end, but it felt like they might have left an opening for a second season-which I would not recommend as by the end of the drama I was more than tired of the ghost possession trope
all in all the series was pretty well balanced & worth watching but not worth a rewatch

Fun to watch
Phantom Lawyer stands out for its overall story and the strong acting chemistry of the cast, anchored by Yoo Yeon-seok. His possession scenes are genuinely fun to watch—not because they’re exaggerated, but because of how precise the shifts are—you can see it in his eyes, posture, and delivery. Love Dive alone tells all.Beyond that, the ghost stories add real emotional weight. Many of them are surprisingly heart-wrenching, turning what could’ve been a gimmick into something meaningful. The cases themselves are engaging and easy to follow, with clear legal strategies and steady pacing.

Powerful storytelling doesn't use tropes as a crutch. It adds depth to well-known premises.
Look, is this the first drama of it's kind? Certainly not. But that doesn't deter Phantom Lawyer from being a damn good series. The characters have depth and so far the show's pacing has been great at balancing solving the cases and peeling back the layers of the leads as characters. The cases themselves are surprisingly compelling and that gives the viewers something great to be preoccupied with while the overarching story concerning the male lead and his ties to the company where the female lead works slowly starts to form.
I'm excited to see this series progress!

A Dramatically Funny Series
Why the Headline because it is the best Drama with some of the best Comedy I have seen in a long time The lead Yeo Yeon Seok isn't your typical Korean Leading man I am sure he doesn't fit the ridiculous standards that are placed on Asian actors but he is one of the best actors & each series he does he becomes better & brings more He morphs into each Ghost & brings so much laughter to each character I just do not want this series to end His leading lady Esom brings just as much talent to her role as a tough but troubled Lawyer She is Sexy Strong Vunerable & a good foil for Yeo Yeon's funny character in this series I also love that they have pulled out all the stops in bringing more of Korean's character actors into this series Kim Mi Kyung when you get this actress it's just gonna be a hit she is one of the best and has many years of acting Great I always love to see Jeon Seok Ho in any series he's Fantastic in anything he does Top NotchI finished the Series I found so many reviews slagging this series but I just loved it !! Predictable Maybe but with the Chaos everywhere now It is nice to just sit & enjoy a great story with some of the best Actors in any series at the moment

Straightforward & Review-Style
So, I finally checked out Phantom Lawyer over the weekend, and honestly? It's a good time. Not exactly groundbreaking, but I totally get why people are already hooked.First off, can we talk about Yoo Yeon Seok? If you remember him as the smooth, icy executive from When the Phone Rings, prepare for whiplash. He plays Shin Yi-rang, this completely flustered, slightly awkward lawyer who moves into an old shaman office and suddenly starts seeing ghosts. The guy goes from timid to full-on possessed in seconds, and the physical comedy is just chef's kiss. There's this one scene where he's literally flailing around in court trying to explain a ghost's testimony without sounding insane, and I couldn't stop laughing.
Esom plays opposite him as Han Na-hyun, this super by-the-book prosecutor who's all about logic and evidence. She’s the perfect straight-laced foil to his chaotic energy, and you just know they're going to bicker their way into becoming partners. Their dynamic already has that classic K-drama spark.
The plot so far is pretty standard: ghost hires lawyer to solve his own murder. It's a bit of a "case of the week" setup, which I don't mind. Sure, it leans hard on that familiar trope where the hero gets all the answers from a spirit, so the courtroom stuff isn't exactly a nail-biter. You're not watching this for shocking legal twists, you know?
But here's the thing: it's just so watchable. It's funny, it's got heart, and Yoo Yeon Seok is clearly having the time of his life. The ratings are already climbing, and I'm not surprised. If you want something light, a little goofy, and perfect for vegging out on the couch, Phantom Lawyer is a solid pick. I'm definitely sticking around to see where this ghostly law firm goes next

I love this drama so much I thought it would be an exaggerated one since the plot seems like that, but the way the cases focuses more on the personal lives of the ghosts is impressive for me the comedy is great too one of the things that I learned from this drama is to say what you want when you have the time because you will regret it later in your life ,some scenes made me cry too the one with Lee Gang Pung and lastly the case of Shin -I-Rang's father, Shin-Gi-Jung .The casting is great too it's my first time watching Esom in a drama and I'm amazed ,all the actors didn't disappoint

A Good Watch and an Emotional Rollercoaster
I was a bit reluctant to start this one but finally decided to give it a chance today and was hooked. Binged the first four episodes and looking forward to the next episodes.I won’t say much about the story to avoid spoilers but one minute I’m laughing, the next, I’m bawling my eyes out. And what does that tell you? It is, for sure, a good story. Emotional plot line and I love the concept too.
Ah, also the little romance blooming on the side is really cute to see, so yeah, there’s that too.
Overall, it’s a good show so far, and if just like me you’re also contemplating watching it, you should. I believe you won’t regret it.
I hope the quality stays consistent until the end of the show.

A Perfect Balance of Comedy and Emotion
Phantom Lawyer is a surprisingly refreshing mix of humor, heart, and solid storytelling. What I appreciated most is how naturally it balances comedy with more emotional moments—it never feels forced or overdone.Yoo Yeon Seok truly shines here. His performance carries the drama, showing great range from light, comedic scenes to more intense and emotional moments. He brings depth and charm to his character, making him both entertaining and easy to root for.
What elevates the series further is the emotional core of the story, especially the ghost storyline. It adds a touching layer that stays with you, giving the drama more meaning beyond its legal and comedic elements.
Overall, Phantom Lawyer is an enjoyable and heartfelt watch, with strong acting, well-balanced tone, and a story that knows how to make you laugh while still pulling at your emotions.

A roller coaster ride
This series is so fun and would make you experience a lot of emotions while watching. Comedy is not my type of genre but I laughed so hard at random times while watching. The music is also on point. I just love how it add more flavor to the scene.
The ghosts are also funny but would also make you feel sad. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the stories they would tell, and how they will resolve their grievances and move on.

Handsome lead, same old clichés, predictable script
This is a very light, popcorn-type series clearly aimed at fans of the male lead (the same actor from When the Phone Rings). And the show knows it.Beyond the attractive protagonist, the story offers nothing new. It runs entirely on the familiar supernatural formula these dramas have used many times before:
A ghost with an unresolved injustice.
The protagonist receives privileged information from the spirit.
To everyone else he looks crazy because he talks to the ghost or suddenly acts possessed.
Using that information, he confronts the culprit.
The guilty party panics or exposes themselves.
Moral justice is delivered and the spirit finally moves on.
And that’s the system.
This isn’t really a legal drama, because the protagonist already knows the truth from the beginning. The courtroom simply becomes a stage to reveal what the ghost already told him.
0 out of 5 stars if you’re looking for something original.
5 out of 5 if you just want to watch your favorite actor and don’t care about the story at all.
