Fun to watch
Phantom Lawyer stands out for its overall story and the strong acting chemistry of the cast, anchored by Yoo Yeon-seok. His possession scenes are genuinely fun to watch—not because they’re exaggerated, but because of how precise the shifts are—you can see it in his eyes, posture, and delivery. Love Dive alone tells all.Beyond that, the ghost stories add real emotional weight. Many of them are surprisingly heart-wrenching, turning what could’ve been a gimmick into something meaningful. The cases themselves are engaging and easy to follow, with clear legal strategies and steady pacing.

Powerful storytelling doesn't use tropes as a crutch. It adds depth to well-known premises.
Look, is this the first drama of it's kind? Certainly not. But that doesn't deter Phantom Lawyer from being a damn good series.The characters have depth and so far the show's pacing has been great at balancing solving the cases and peeling back the layers of the leads as characters. The cases themselves are surprisingly compelling and that gives the viewers something great to be preoccupied with while the overarching story concerning the male lead and his ties to the company where the female lead works slowly starts to form.
I'm excited to see this series progress!

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good dram, it’s funny and entertaining, tearjerking even. I cried like once while watching it but i cannot for the life of me, get over the plot holes and the fact that this Shaw has almost nothing to do with him being a lawyer. The lawyer arc is just used as a plot device to pit him against the firm the rejected him before he went independent. I get that they are trying to create tension but seriously every case??? Every ghost he meets, the perpetrators are being defended by that exact law firm and the same person who rejected his resume to his face each time.I think that he is less of an attorney and more of detective. He can’t even be called a prosecutor since half the time he never makes it to court. Which takes me the question of how does he make his money? And since he cannot actually explain how he got his evidence without sounding like a nutjob or making himself out to be criminal because half of the evidence is collected by breaking and entering. I have sooo many questions and i feel like if i continue watching i will have even more than i have now. I tried to toss my brain cells aside to make it work but it seems like my brain is working overtime and the comedic relief just isn’t enough.

amazing would watch again!
It was a series that I didn’t want to finish that probably sounds ridiculous but genuinely I didn’t want it to end knowing that it was gonna end was almost as sad as the episode episodes!I loved all the cast. Everybody played their roles really well and I was so worried at the end that we weren’t gonna get a happier ever after for the main characters. It was cheesy. It was cute but mixed in with all the emotional strong cases and the storylines it was just such an easy comfort. Watch it just had everything without anything being too much.
Obviously, they were very emotional episodes based on the fact that it was ghosts who were murdered or mistreated et cetera but I think they were dealt with with such care and the storylines all made sense. There wasn’t just a random that doesn’t make sense why they did that sort of moment everything had a part to play and it was just so nice to watch!
I’m curious whether they’ll do like a season two. I feel like the bad lawyer son was staring very strangely in the office and then the fact that there was another new ghost? Could there be a new storyline maybe for a season two? I know K dramas don’t do a lot of season twos and I’m not saying a season two would be amazing but I think it would be interesting with these characters fun lighthearted mystery suspense tense emotional it’s just got the full mix!

A Supernatural Masterpiece That Had Me Laughing, Crying, and Cheering From Start to Finish
Wow. I just finished all 16 episodes of Phantom Lawyer, and without a doubt, this is one of the best K dramas I have ever watched. From the very first episode to the last, it delivered an incredibly refreshing and unique story that kept me completely invested.What I loved most was how brilliantly the supernatural elements were blended with mystery, law, comedy, and emotional storytelling. The ghost cases were not only fascinating but also deeply touching. Every one of the seven ghost stories carried so much heart and emotion that I found myself crying more times than I expected. This drama knows exactly how to balance humor, suspense, heartbreak, and healing.
The cast was absolutely phenomenal. Yeon Seok was outstanding as I Rang. His performance was on another level, especially during the possession scenes. Watching him completely transform into different personalities, whether it was a child, a dancer, or a skilled fighter, was incredible. His versatility and talent were on full display throughout the entire series.
Han Na Hyeon was also a fantastic female lead, and I loved the partnership between her and I Rang. Their chemistry, trust, and growth made their relationship one of the strongest aspects of the drama. The supporting cast deserves just as much praise. From I Rang's mother and sister to his adorable niece, every family member added warmth and charm to the story.
Phantom Lawyer has everything I look for in a drama: mystery, comedy, law, supernatural elements, heartfelt stories, emotional depth, ghostly encounters, spirit possession, and even a touch of romance. It is heartwarming, entertaining, and unforgettable all at the same time.
This is a rare drama that made me laugh out loud, cry my eyes out, and stay emotionally invested in every single case. A perfect 10/10 from me. I will definitely be rewatching this masterpiece in the future.
One of the most complete and satisfying K dramas I have ever watched.

if you liked "Bad and Crazy" you'll love this one!!!
All my "Bad and Crazy" baddies rise, because this drama was giving such a similar feeling! I looooved the drama, it wasn't all serious, it had it's funny moments. I liked the mix of the comedy and law genre, it wasn't suffocating and I wasn't bawling my eyes out all of the time.Phantom Lawyer was such a relief from everyday life, I enjoyed it and would watch it again (also, if I could've I would've rated it even higher than 10).
The main actors were nice, I'm glad they didn't explore the romance between two leads more than they already did, because that left us more time with the ghosts and other cases.
Anyways, enough glazing, GOOO WATCH THE DRAMAA!!!

Extremely underrated
I don't often watch Kdrama's. Barely ever since the plot often bores me. But sometimes you just randomly decide to watch whatever comes across your Netflix page. This series has a special place in my heart. The clients coming over was sooo funny, adorable but also very emotional. I feel like I can relate to Sin I Rang quite much.What I love about Sin I Rang is that he can understand the emotions of the ghost who come to his office extremely well. At first he was quite took back but after some time he showed real dedication in helping his ghost clients. Also I really loved it when he was around Yun Si Ho, Han So Hyeon and Kim Su-a. It was adorable to see the interactions he had with them.
I didn't like Han Na Hyeon at first, she was to stern and I just don't like her personality. This show did a great job at turning my opinions because I slowly started to love Hyeon. Her character makes a lot of sense and all her actions are related to her backstory and I litterly fell in love with her I totally get you Shin.
I don't understand office language that well, but everything was explained so well. It wasn't very complicated to understand what was going on especially since the ghost clients weren't really there for lawsuits but rather finding out what happened to them and very physiologic.
What I always love is found family, for me the niece and brother in law really felt like found family. Also the priest was soo understanding and soft with his actions. I loved them all and they added a little more love for this series for me. The niece was so cute coupling Shin I rang and Han Na Hyeon together.
The actors are extremely fit for the role aswell, like it doesn't feel like they're just playing but it feels incredibly real. But maybe I consumed to much low quality Thai series.
However, just like other reviews I agree that it was really expecting what was gonna happen. Like it was sooo obvious Han Na was gonna meet her sister and as final Shin I rang his dad. I do reallyyy like the cute endinggg. As someone that doesn't often enjoy Kdrama I will be honest, this series is sooo good and I might wanna watch series like this in the future.

Heartfelt and Warm
10/10 no notes. This show came with perfect pacing, heart-stirring acting, and the loveliest ghost stories. It was such an easy watch whilst also moving me to tears from time to time. I absolutely love that the leads choose kindness every time. The story between the leads developed gradually over time, in the most realistic way. I would readily watch as many seasons as they would make. Also - Shin I Rang's costuming, with his fan and traditional ties in subtle colours and fancy fabrics are chef's kiss.Was this review helpful to you?

Saying that last goodbye.
I wasn’t sure I wanted to watch this just because of the title. However, after the introduction of his first client, I was all in.All his clients’ stories were heartwarming. several brought me to tears, especially his last client. By the end of his last client’s story I was sobbing.
I loved the cast. I thought adding the brother in law to his staff added a nice touch. The mom so loving and supportive.
I’m going to say it was a unique drama and I am glad I watched Phantom Lawyer. I think it’s one of those heartwarming rewatchable dramas so I probably will rewatch it again at some point.

Loved the ML
I love the ML's character. He is empathetic, compassionate, and warm. He is one of the kindest characters I've ever come across. If only more male leads were like him.The show will break your heart in a good way. But you will also laugh. I'm glad they didn't have a rushed ending. I highly recommend it.

Straightforward & Review-Style
So, I finally checked out Phantom Lawyer over the weekend, and honestly? It's a good time. Not exactly groundbreaking, but I totally get why people are already hooked.First off, can we talk about Yoo Yeon Seok? If you remember him as the smooth, icy executive from When the Phone Rings, prepare for whiplash. He plays Shin Yi-rang, this completely flustered, slightly awkward lawyer who moves into an old shaman office and suddenly starts seeing ghosts. The guy goes from timid to full-on possessed in seconds, and the physical comedy is just chef's kiss. There's this one scene where he's literally flailing around in court trying to explain a ghost's testimony without sounding insane, and I couldn't stop laughing.
Esom plays opposite him as Han Na-hyun, this super by-the-book prosecutor who's all about logic and evidence. She’s the perfect straight-laced foil to his chaotic energy, and you just know they're going to bicker their way into becoming partners. Their dynamic already has that classic K-drama spark.
The plot so far is pretty standard: ghost hires lawyer to solve his own murder. It's a bit of a "case of the week" setup, which I don't mind. Sure, it leans hard on that familiar trope where the hero gets all the answers from a spirit, so the courtroom stuff isn't exactly a nail-biter. You're not watching this for shocking legal twists, you know?
But here's the thing: it's just so watchable. It's funny, it's got heart, and Yoo Yeon Seok is clearly having the time of his life. The ratings are already climbing, and I'm not surprised. If you want something light, a little goofy, and perfect for vegging out on the couch, Phantom Lawyer is a solid pick. I'm definitely sticking around to see where this ghostly law firm goes next
