Bringing back plot!
I have only seen the first couple of episodes so far, however, I can already tell there is so much detail and beautiful storyline development on its way. First two episodes hook you onto wanting to know more about the characters and what’s to come. Love the play on history, the intertwinment of languages, culture, and more.Acting so far has been amazing. Glad to see some familiar faces that I just know will give awesome performances. So excited to see where the plot takes us in the rest of the series!
Update: I am now up to date, patiently waiting for episode 7 & 8! Strong round of applause for Jinyoung’s and Youjoung’s acting in episode 6. Also, the intenseness of the plot is growing, so don’t doubt that there isn’t gonna be anything interesting happening soon! If anything, grab your popcorn or favorite snack, and get ready for an emotional rollercoaster! I will update soon! Thanks for reading!

Kim Yoo-jung’s Acting Deserves All the Praise
Absolutely — since you loved 100 Days of Deception and especially Kim Yoo-jung's performance, I'd make this one similarly passionate but focus more on her versatility, expressions, and the chemistry/character work.100 Days of Deception is honestly one of those dramas that completely takes you by surprise. I went into it expecting to enjoy it, but I genuinely did not expect to be this invested. The writing, the characters, the pacing and the overall execution are so well done that I found myself completely immersed in the story.
What impressed me the most, though, is Kim Yoo-jung. Her acting is absolutely phenomenal. She has this incredible ability to convey so much through the smallest expressions, and the way she portrays her character's emotions feels so natural and effortless. Whether she is being playful, emotional, serious, vulnerable or strong, she makes every side of the character believable. There is such a depth to her performance that you never feel like you are simply watching an actress perform a role — you genuinely feel like you are watching the character herself.
Kim Yoo-jung deserves so much appreciation for this role because she manages to make the character incredibly engaging without overdoing anything. Her expressions, delivery, body language and overall screen presence are just so good. She has the kind of acting ability where even a small scene can become memorable simply because of the way she portrays it.
And the drama itself is so well-paced. There are enough twists and emotional moments to keep you interested, but the story never feels like it is relying solely on unnecessary drama to hold your attention. The plot keeps moving, the characters actually feel important to the story, and the scenes connect so well with each other.
One of my favourite things about this drama is how well it balances everything. It has romance, tension, emotional moments, humour and mystery without making one element completely overpower the others. The chemistry between the leads makes the romantic side even more enjoyable, and the relationship actually feels like it develops naturally rather than being forced.
The entire cast has done an amazing job, but Kim Yoo-jung especially deserves her flowers. She has such a strong screen presence, and this drama is another reminder of why she is such a respected actress. She can make you laugh in one scene and completely break your heart in another, and she does it so effortlessly.
I genuinely wish more people would appreciate this drama for what it is instead of judging it based on comparisons or expectations. It has its own identity, its own charm and a story that deserves to be experienced on its own terms.
Overall, 100 Days of Deception is such an enjoyable and well-executed drama. The writing, performances, chemistry and pacing all come together beautifully, and Kim Yoo-jung absolutely carried every scene she was in.
An easy 10/10 for me. Kim Yoo-jung deserves ALL the appreciation for this performance.

Intense! Remarkable! Amazing
When this was promoted, I did not right away jump watching the moment it was aired. The story has many difficult scenes to take in. This is one drama that have so many subplots, that you would need to take full attention.I am amazed at the amount of work these actors put into this drama. Such a remarkable project to have 3 languages spoken with full expressions, not just in tone, but also seen in each actor's faces. The deception isn't just done by one person. Each character hides something that little by little is unfolding before our very eyes.
We are halfway through the drama and up to this point, we do not know if the freedom fighters will win, if any of the leads suffer in the end. We can see through the eyes of these actors the intensity of story that even in the behind-the-scenes in YouTube, the actors are affected.
These characters have their own secrets or "deception"
1. Ga Gyeong/ So-Hee - the one with most lies, and despite the lie, she found someone trusting her to do the job.
2. Sato Hideo/ Kim Tae Ung - his lie maybe about his mother, his past as a pickpocket also which he did not reveal to So-Hee
3. Soran - lying about her identity before Sato Shinichi and her relationship with Yoo Philip
4. Sato Shinichi - what happened to his wife is another thing hidden from Hideo.
5. Hideo's mom - this is a mystery to me... where is the baby she was carrying when she left their home?
Many disguises, many aliases just to get what they want.
One wanting to get out of the country
One stuck in the middle as if he lost his own identity
While many have held on to their own identity and planned to take their freedom back.
The actors may have put in so much work to get into character, and the director and producers created the space where they executed this drama. This is such a big production, may not be like the old traditional period drama, but this may speak of one historical period desiring their own sovereignty.

Best Kdrama of 2026!!!
I started watching this show as it stars my all time favourite actress Kim You Jung but I never expected it to be so addicting and thrilling! My whole family loved Mr Sunshine and have been wanting a Kdrama with a similar vibe and 100 Days of Deception is exactly that. The suspense, romance and thrills this drama gives is like no other. Park Jin Young has truly won me over with his depiction as Sato Hideo carrying natural charm and sexiness. Kim You Jung nails every role she receives but this is her best one yet. I don't know how she does it but she brings a young and playful manner to a serious and mature role in this drama. Every expression, every smile, every word that escapes her mouth is calculated when it comes to Sato Hideo yet we cannot help but love the freshness and bluntness of her character. The tension between the FL and ML is INSANE!!! I cannot help but watch fan-edits of them while waiting for the new episodes to release. It's been so long since I've been hooked on a drama this bad. Every episode is beautifully written with entrancing visuals and music. Every actor has put in their all for their characters given the depth of this drama and how hard it is to act in multiple languages. I have no complains about this drama except for the fact we need more behind-the-scenes and episodes to be released faster. Cannot wait for the plot twists, character reveals and the hidden truths to come out!Was this review helpful to you?
A Promising Blend of History, Espionage, Conflict of Duty & Heart
First Impressions:I will update this review once I complete the drama. Ratings have been added only to meet the review submission requirements.
⮕ Why I Started this Drama:
100 Days of Deception was one of my most anticipated dramas for mainly two reasons: I love historical wartime stories, and I was excited to see Park Jinyoung and Kim Hyun Joo in the cast. While I will edit and share a detailed review once the drama completes, here are some of the things that I am liking so far:
⮕ What's Working Well:
(1) STORYTELLING & PACE:
Some dramas take a few episodes to find their rhythm. This one hooked me from the opening credits. From its striking visuals and period setting, it immediately feels like a story that demands your attention. Multiple characters and hidden agendas are woven together, yet the narrative remains surprisingly easy to follow. The drama reveals its mysteries gradually, giving us just enough information to stay curious without relying on constant cliffhangers.
What I appreciate most is how naturally the flashbacks blend into the story. Rather than interrupting the momentum, they deepen our understanding of the characters and their motives. The storytelling feels refreshingly straightforward, almost like being told an old "Once Upon a Time" tale where every chapter slowly uncovers another layer.
The pacing is deliberate but never slow. It allows the political intrigue, espionage, and historical backdrop to breathe while giving viewers time to absorb the details. As someone unfamiliar with much of Korean history, I enjoy being able to connect the drama with real events and learn along the way. With spies, warfare, and secrets already in play, I am eager to see the tension escalate in the coming episodes.
(2) ACTING:
Park Jinyoung is an actor whose performances work best for me when he relies on subtlety rather than eccentricity, and this role seems perfectly suited to those strengths. His character carries a quiet intensity, suggesting a man torn between duty and personal conviction. There is clearly more beneath the surface, and I am looking forward to seeing those conflicts unfold.
Kim Hyun Joo is another reason who drew me to this drama. I have only seen her once before, as Gu Jun Pyo's elder sister in Boys Over Flowers (2009), but despite her brief screen time, she left a lasting impression on me. Ever since then, I have wanted to see more of her work, though somehow I never got around to it (Watcher came the closest, but I had to put it on hold). Naturally, I was thrilled to see her here. From the very beginning, she has been presented as a spy and possibly one of the masterminds behind the events unfolding. I am especially excited to see how far she is willing to go to achieve her goals and how she will use the people around her in the process. I have a feeling her story may end on a poetic yet tragic note, as characters like hers often do. One thing I am absolutely certain of, however, is that her acting will be top-notch.
The FL, Kim You Jung is a big name in the industry and here she's equally dependable. She brings a natural grace to her roles while effortlessly balancing emotional depth with charm and mischief. So far, she has been exactly as compelling as I hoped.
The supporting cast is also stacked with familiar and talented faces. These are the actors who consistently elevate every drama they appear in, bringing the role to life everytime. Whether their characters turn out to be allies, enemies, or something in between, I am excited to see how their stories connect as the plot unfolds. They are - Lee Moo Sang (Reporter Yoo), Jin Sun Kyu (Sato Sr), Seo Junh Yeon (Housekeeper), Kim In Kwon (Freedom Fighter), Kim Joong Hee (Police Leader), Kim Do Hyun (Suzuki) and the ever-amazing Choi Dae Hoon (Pawnbroker). Cannot wait to see how their roles progress in this drama.
⮕ Overall:
After the first 2 episodes, 100 Days of Deception feels like the kind of drama that quietly draws you into its world and refuses to let go. Strong performances, confident storytelling, and a steadily unfolding mystery have already made it one of my favourite ongoing watches. I cannot wait to see where the deception, loyalty, and hidden agendas lead next. Hoping this drama matches my expectations till the end.

Bringing back OG kdrama era with a bang
I know it’s too early to make such tall claims but once they were done setting up and establishing the story & characters, everything was pure perfection. Bgm, actors, story, pitch perfect. Really took me back to kdramas pre Covid era. I had really high expectations n the show did not disappoint. Let’s see where it goes n whether it sustains it’s momentum 🤞Was this review helpful to you?

A MUST WATCH
BASED ON 2 episodes .... so far so good ... its PERFECT ... i love the story and the drama.... they set up the character very well and their motivaton ... i thought 1 st episode was little slow till 40 minutes mark and then it keeps on getting better with each passing minute till ep 2 was finished. love the chemistry between all the leads (4) the tension, thriller, world building is on another level. and i have a soft corner for freedom related dramas and series if they are done right.... looking forward to ep 3 and 4 i just hope they can maintain the tension and romantic chemistry in coming episode while carrying freedom movement. for now its NEAR PERFECT. and a big shoutout to production, costume dept too.Was this review helpful to you?
Totally hooked from the first episode
I randomly started watching this drama and wow, I am completely hooked. The very first episode grabs you and you just cannot stop watching. The story is crazy with so many unexpected twists and turns. Also, the actors did such an amazing job, you can literally feel the stress and tension in every single scene. If you love a good thriller, you just have to watch this one.Was this review helpful to you?
I TRIED TO FIND ANY FLAW! theres none?
It's takes an amazing production to cleverly make amazing first 2 episode.I was honestly very tired of giving a show a chance after 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 episodes and still find them lacking.
This is what a great kdrama start looks like for me.
the first episode is slow in time pacing, but starts at the RIGHT key moments in the story to let us get to know the main characters. While I found the main characters all imperfect and annoying, they interwine brillantly in the pilot and now I wanna know what happens to all of them!
Second episode we have the past story reveal. The back story could have been a movie on its own. They showed us the key moments of the past of one character. Not only was it shown well, but there are details, emotional details that are absolute ART!!! here are 3:
1- the psycho looks of some soldiers, characterizing the inhumane act of oppression and occupation.
2- the alternation between slow motion of the fight to live and normal pace of the oppressors.
3- the complete silence right before a mother's cry, ouf that moment killed me in emotion.
This is what I expect from an excellent Kdrama! main leads have been amazing so far too!
It may be FL's best performance yet? and the ML, beyond his talent, I really like that they give him the nuance and depth, which is always harder for male character somehow. And they achieve this by using creative devices like letting us see his mind.
The setting of the story, the cinematography, the cuts, even the OST, i tried hard to find one flaw and I couldn't!
we have the classic kdrama moments and attitude but we also got a very rich plot going on!
this show is on its way to become a classic favourite!

One Hundred Days of Lies — A Story That Truly Touched My Heart ❤️✨
I honestly didn't expect this drama to affect me so deeply. I was drawn in by its fascinating story and brilliant performances, but what stayed with me was something much more meaningful.
First, I have to say how much I loved **Kim Yoo Jung's performance!** ❤️ She was absolutely incredible. There was something so genuine about the way she portrayed her character's fears, struggles, strength, and determination. I could feel her emotions, and I found myself admiring her more with every episode. The entire cast was wonderful, but she truly stole my heart.
What I loved most, though, was the message behind the story. For me, this drama isn't just about lies, secrets, or survival. It's about **freedom, human dignity, breaking free from what controls us, and having the courage to make the right choices.**
I strongly believe that being human means being free to think, to question, to choose, and to take responsibility for those choices. And sometimes, doing the right thing requires more courage than we ever imagined.
That's why this story meant so much to me. It reminded me that freedom isn't simply something we're given; sometimes, it's something we have to fight for, even within ourselves.
**And perhaps the most beautiful kind of freedom is the freedom to remain human, no matter what the world demands of us.** ❤️
I loved this drama, not just for its storytelling or acting, but for the way it made me think and feel. And those are the stories I treasure most. 🌹✨
