This is my first time writing a review here, and I just couldn’t help it.
This drama is truly enjoyable, and what stood out the most for me was the strong chemistry between the ML and FL. The FL embodied her character so well that it became very appealing to watch, while the ML added a wonderful sense of humor that made the story even more engaging. I especially loved the scenes where their inner voices led to misunderstandings, which created both tension and lighthearted moments. The supporting characters were also memorable, and even though the drama was short, each of them managed to show distinct personalities within the limited screen time. I feel this story could have been expanded into a longer drama, but despite its short length, the production team delivered an excellent piece that left a lasting impression.Was this review helpful to you?

Hilarious & heartwarming slowburn romance
I watched this drama on 10 February 2025. I wasn't familiar with the main actress nor main actor but the first 20 minutes was hilarious, I continued to watch this drama.What I liked:
1. FL characterisation - I love a FL who is clear on her goals & driven to accomplish it. FL is sensible, smart & unintentionally funny. I really enjoyed Xu Meng Yuan's acting.
2. Comedy - This drama is hilarious thanks to ML's delusional thoughts. FL interactions with ML were mostly amusing too.
3. Romance - This is slowburn romance. There are very few physical touches. Instead the romantic feelings were expressed through their facial expressions & in some ways, acts of service.
4. Supporting characters - I liked the bodyguards who warmed towards FL, he was like a friend. I also liked Secretary Gao. She was rational & protective of FL once they became friends.
5. Styling - Xu Meng Yuan's hair was so beautiful. I also like some outfits worn by FL & her love rival.
What I disliked:
1. Feelings - Ideally I'd like to see more internal conflict when it comes to FL's feelings for ML. I was also irritated about ML's confused feelings because it was draggy.

Xu Meng Yuan is sole reason why this drama was so good.
I watch this only for Xu Meng Yuan without looking who was the ML because i don't know him back then. It turns out it was Wang Hao Xiang. I quite like how Xu Meng Yuan bring FL character more into life.The plot is about FL transmigrates into a book. The original owner was a substitute for SFL who committed suicide after being abused by the ML. The new FL only wants to make money and stays as a substitute for the male lead, earning 500,000 yuan a month.
I quite like New FL mind since original owner was harassed and misunderstood by ML, so she directly hired two bodyguards and then gave the ML an over-the-shoulder throw. ML asks FL to take care of him, and she's overjoyed because she thinks she can make money. ML interprets this as her being hopelessly in love with him, common-narcissistic behavior.
The sudden shift to love at the end felt abrupt and lacked buildup. It feels ML never get his character development.so i never agree with the ending. Plus the lack of romance chemistry between Xu Meng Yuan and Wang Hao Xiang seems like they make this drama a force HE.
In the end, it would have been better if FL had chosen to return to the real world with the money and hadn't fallen in love with the ML, i will give the rating higher.
Only watch for Xu Meng Yuan.
