romanticizes SA
How this TV series passed censorship is a mistery to me. As a short series from Tencent with cold CEO as male lead, I expected something closed to SA or mild SA but this one just got the crown among all. Listening to romantic music while watching the ML corner the FL in a corner or throw her very hardshly against a wall and force kiss after kiss to a very scared FL who cannot move (Very clearly being SA) it just sits so wrong with me and make me question how f**ked up we are as an audience to like this to be in the second position of most viewed series on wetv this week.The storyline looks great so far. The actors are great too and the picture makes everything eveything an eye candy. except it’s…romanticized SA.

The Definition of "Average"
What do you get when you take a vertical micro-drama plot and stretch it out to make it fit a Mini-drama standard? You get The Silent Wife.Take all the bingo cards and tropes, tone them down and there you have it. This show was THAT boringly predictable.
Now don't get me wrong, if you HAVEN'T watched a bunch of vertical dramas and/or read a bunch of "bad" fiction then this may still get your blood pumping and you might even like it as novel and exciting. But don't expect the FL to be a smart person or learn anything 🤷♀️ It's a VERY specific niche fantasy show and that NEVER happens in these unless it's a Reverse Uno trope.
6.5/10 (Could have written almost the entire plot synopsis without watching it)

pure shit
first i will give a rough idea whats going on here ..ML is suffering from amnesia after an accident for which he thinks FL's father was responsible .. in this accident his side chic(vamp of the show ) lands into coma . wow i mean talk about the odds ... out of a thousand complications writers always give you amnesia and coma ... and its always the chic in coma and ML with amnesia not the other way round (vamp with amnesia and ML in coma)... now due to amnesia he thinks vamp is his lover and ML started torturing the FL to donate blood to the vamp and this is going on for 3 years .. huh! and FL is taking all this crap in the name on love ... if i were in her place i would have said .. "well !! maybe i love you .. but let's go to the police station." secondly his married with the fl was blessed by his family yet he had no clues in his house to make him remember his love for FL .. there was just a stupid mobile with forgotten Password .. he didnt even bothered to get his phone unlocked by a technician. otherwise a person with amnesia will always try to get as much info as he can about his past life through his phone and computer gallery ...after all this stupidity i was having second doubt if i should continue watching so i read few comments .. people saying she suffers misvarraige and still forgives him in the end , reason enough for me to drop the show ..

Main Lead is an Abuser
The story starts with a ML who has amnesia for the last 3 years. He is married to the FL (not explained how this happened) who he was in love with but forgot all memories of her. He thinks her father tried to kill him and another girl who is obsessed with him saved him and is his true love.It is one thing that he cannot remember the person he was in love with but he actively physically and even sexually abuses his wife who is mute btw. He introduces her as his secretary in front of clients and allows them to disrespect her. Even their staff bad mouth her at home.
When the show depicts their flashbacks, he is supposed to be this kind caring man. But now suddenly he is an abuser and nearly rapes his helpless wife. It is only after 3 years of torturing her and using her as a blood donor he realises he's being too harsh when his client drugs and nearly rapes his already weak wife.
They should have given him brain damage if they wanted us to believe in such a personality change. After what he put his wife through, there is no reason to root for this couple. Plus there was a decent SML who cared for the FL and never tried to pressure her or act inappropriately. That would have made for a better ending. Not create a story where a woman forgives her assaulter.
The story is terribly misogynistic but the developments held my interest. I was just sorely disappointed with the romanticising of a toxic person.

Must watch if you like Chinese Dramas
I don’t normal review these shows but if you’re a Chinese Drama Fan I think you’ll enjoy this one.Story line is pretty decent no real complaints from me so far on that
Actors are all great.
Doesn’t jump around to much so you always understand what the story is about.
I don’t want to say too much because I don’t like spoiling shows for other people but OMG the male leads kisses sheesh ☺️ ☺️ that alone is enough to make you want to watch this show.
Just binged the first 15 episodes of the Silent wife and I must say I love it so far as soon as episode 15 ended. I hoped for more because the 1st 15 were not enough.
A few characters storyline’s still need an ending .
Thankfully more episodes are coming.
Tian Xu Ning is beautiful I can’t wait to see more of his work.

This is real life
One thing i appreciate about this drama storyline is that, it shed light to what is really going on. A lot of women are actually going through this. A lot of men are exactly the way the main lead portrayed them to be. This is real life, a lot of crazy things are happening. Aside the story lines the ML and FL did really well to bring the characters to life. They did so well that it hurts and stings. She was abused severally and still went back, because he has money he treated her like a product/commodity. Her mum made things worse and sold her out like a cheap fruit. The ML lost his memories and couldn’t tell what was real or not. So intriguing.Was this review helpful to you?
A moving and touching drama.
I really don't understand why it didn't get a higher score... It's true that it's not a sweet drama like we're used to seeing, and it's a little hard to watch the suffering of others, but there's a lot of emotion and power here. The main characters are beautiful, and they both play great. You can see her suffering and her inner struggle, and it's incredibly moving. I liked the fact that the story flows and doesn't get stuck, and from episode to episode it kept us interested. The music is great, and even gave me chills in certain parts... not worth your time truly you will start it like me and think omg this is so good and dramatic and get sucked in only for it to be disappointing by the end just save your time and don't even start it trust me and I know I'm just a stranger on the internet who you probably heard say something like this before but truly let me hold your hand when I say this don't even watch it I'm truly just trying to save your brain cells from having to bare witness to such monstrosity that this show is and not in a good way either you will only bare such hatred as I had for every person in this show from the main male lead to the female main lead for being so fucking dumb and getting back with that man after everything he did I truly wish to see what made her see where he can be a good man for her in the future shit because of that man she lost her baby bc he couldn't get control of one bitch but me personally the minute that man told me to give my blood to help said bitch and then when the doctor said that I'm going to need rest because its a lot for my body you tell them I don't need it or when she almost got SA bc of someone he was going to do a deal with and he saved her but then the next day you run off to take care that same bitch me personally there are many straws but these particular ones is something that truly would have been my 13th reason and I don't mean to myself oh hell no it would of been my 13th reason to kill a man because ain't no fucking way that man still walking free and then ohh boy lets not forget he's the reason her fucking father was falsely accused and fucking died because he could keep that fuck ass bitch in check because of what amnesia man fuck that excuse it doesn't make you a skum human being all in all after my very vulgar rant that women in the end did end up with him instead of him putting that bitch and her fucking guard dog six feet under but no there in love I highly do not recommend you even try to watch this show it will truly make you want to be like me plotting fictional characters deaths all in all moral of the fucking story I swear I'm getting there please DO NOT WATCH THIS SHOW!!!Was this review helpful to you?
