First impression: unafraid of heavy themes, yet filled with warmth and tenderness

The long-awaited return of PerthSanta in Love You Teacher really couldn’t have come in a more vibrant way. GMMTV finally seems to be having fun with its visuals, leaning into a color palette that actually matches the energy between the leads. The premiere mixes that familiar light, school-life humor with a surprising emotional weight, and it works better than you’d expect.

One of the highlights of the episode is the art direction. The details in the sets and costumes are not merely decorative, but help build a sense of warmth that welcomes the audience from the very first minute. It’s nice to see the studio investing in stories that, while keeping the beloved clichés of the genre, dare to explore more refined visual and emotional textures.

The performances are another big win. Perth delivers a beautiful portrayal, proving that his dramatic instincts remain as sharp as ever. His moments of vulnerability and tears are genuinely heartbreaking and convey the exhaustion of someone trying to balance the roles of boyfriend and caretaker. Santa, meanwhile, moves with a magnetic gentleness between the different shades of Solar and his seven-year-old self. The duo’s chemistry carries the rhythm of the episode, allowing the shifts between laugh-out-loud moments and waves of emotional distress to feel organic rather than forced, like fragments of a life shared in all its complexity.

Of course, the premise of age regression (Solar’s mental “reset” after the accident) requires a certain suspension of disbelief from the audience. The show’s neurological logic may feel somewhat creative to more skeptical viewers, but the script makes the smart decision of establishing that the relationship already existed before the trauma. That choice protects the integrity of the narrative, steering clear of uncomfortable questions about consent and instead focusing on what truly matters: the resilience of love in the face of adversity and the emotional toll of caregiving. Some details surrounding Solar’s personality shifts still feel a bit hazy, and in typical GMMTV fashion the editing occasionally flirts with mild confusion. Even so, none of it diminishes the appeal of the story that is beginning to unfold.

In the end, Love You Teacher premieres with the promise of becoming one of the highlights of the 2026 season. It is a series unafraid to touch on sensitive topics such as mental health and the weight of adult responsibility, yet it does so without losing the tenderness and bright warmth its protagonists radiate. If the remaining nine episodes maintain this same level of technical and emotional commitment, we may be looking at a new classic of the genre. For anyone searching for a story with heart and polished visuals, the show’s very first Saturday already proves the wait was more than worth it.

SERIES OF THE YEAR ALREADY!

From the very first episode, this series feels like the show of the year! Perth and Santa's acting is simply top-notch, and the directing is also amazing: the visuals, color correction, and dialogue are stunning! I experienced so many emotions during the first episode; I cried several times, laughed countless times. It's been a long time since the industry has seen such a well-crafted, vibrant, and heartwarming series, one that makes you believe in the characters' true and powerful love and affection!

I want to say something. A huge problem with many romantic series is that the director and actors are rarely able to convey the true affection and love of the characters. For example, you're watching a series, two characters do crazy things for each other because they "love" each other, and you (the viewer) sit and don't understand where this "enormous" love came from; it's not fully explored! In this series, from the very first episode, the characters' CRAZY affection and love for each other is clear, along with the fear of losing each other, the fear of not being there. They managed to show in the first episode what many can't do throughout the entire series. Moreover, the theme of the series is SERIOUS! Yes, there is comedy, but the psychological theme itself is very significant here! Superficial viewers won't immediately see and understand it; some need a lot explained and put into their mouths, but here everything is crystal clear: Pobmek's character has been deeply traumatized since childhood by his own mother, and Solar is the only one who understands him, accepts him, and loves him without any "buts." And then Solar suddenly suffers psychological trauma (beware, this isn't something a basic doctor, not a psychiatrist, would notice). Pobmek is panicking, he's scared, and Perth really captured this fear of "losing" him. There's so much here... I'm really curious what awaits us next!

I hope this series becomes incredibly popular!

Love You Teacher was one of the series I was most excited for, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The plot is really interesting, and you can see the care in every detail, from the story to the character development. The humor adds a fresh touch without taking away its depth, creating a beautiful balance between fun moments and scenes that truly move you to the point of tears.

This series is one of the rare series, because in just 2 ep people can relate their experience on this series it contains an important message, every person has their own struggles, either in family, friends, love one or strangers, especiallu on pobmek most of our parents always tend to compare us to others that lower our confident to do more better, in order to make them happy we have to do what they want not because what we want for ourselves kinda selfish right? but it happened irl anywhere

The best BL onAir

This drama is worth to watch and to wait every week for new episodes.
The strory is different from other BL's because it's not just a romantic plot of the main characters but it has also has another story thaf makes this drama more interesting to watch.
The story, the colour scheme , the chemistry, etc..
I think the director and the actors are doing really amazing jobs for this drama.
Can't wait for the next episodes.

The series follows Pobmek, a teacher who doesn’t like kids, and his boyfriend Solar, who is warm and cheerful. After an accident, Solar sometimes mentally regresses to a childlike state, forcing Pobmek to take on both partner and caretaker roles. It’s not about will they fall in love they already are. It’s about whether love survives when life becomes difficult. And Unique BL concept long-term relationship problems, caregiving and responsibility, emotional maturity The story isn’t just romantic—it’s built around psychological trauma, caregiving stress, and identity changes after brain injury.
