Perth and Santa other drama… Let’s dive in…Unlike most BLs that focus on two people falling in love, this series begins with the couple already in a relationship.
The story follows Pobmek, an elementary school teacher who, ironically, doesn't even like children. Yet he puts up with the noisy, chaotic school environment every single day because his boyfriend, Solar, is a fellow teacher who absolutely adores kids. Pobmek loves Solar so much that he's willing to endure the one thing he dislikes just to stay by his side and support the career that makes Solar happy.
Their peaceful life is turned upside down when Solar is involved in a terrible car accident. The accident leaves him with serious neurological damage, causing his brain to regress to the mental capacity of a seven-year-old child named Sun. Sun, like most kids, becomes frightened by his situation and looks for his mom. Thankfully, Pobmek is able to persuade Sun to go back home with him.
The next morning, when Sun wakes up, he returns to his adult self as Solar. Thinking nothing is wrong, they go to work. But unfortunately for them, Solar turns back into Sun again—this time right in the middle of the school where they work.
To make things worse, the condition is witnessed by Sodchuen and Jee. Not knowing how else to explain the sudden change, Pobmek finally tells them the truth. To his surprise, Sodchuen and Jee don't judge or punish Solar; instead, they offer their help to navigate the situation. Before long, the rest of the teachers—and even the students—become part of the effort to protect Solar's secret and help care for both Solar and Sun whenever the switch happens.
Now, Pobmek finds himself caring not only for the children at school but also for the person he loves most, whose personality can change without warning. Thankfully, soon after, Pobmek finally discovers what triggers the change between Solar and Sun. Once they understand the pattern, it becomes easier for Pobmek and the other teachers to navigate between Solar and Sun.
So, how does this story end? Will Solar be able to fully return to his adult self without turning back into Sun again? What is the actual secret behind his changing personality? And most importantly, will Pobmek be able to handle both Solar and Sun, or will he give up and just bolt out the door?
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers.
What I like:
+ As usual, Perth & Santa chemistry & their acting is never disappointing. Although I kinda hope for a different role for them next time…
+ GMMTv put more effort into their dramas. It’s no longer only about school romance… it’s about something that has more meaning…
What I’m not too like:
- The whole situation with Solar and Sun doesn't really make sense. Like: how all the teachers and students just blindly accept the 'orders' to help them.
- And the most ridicules of all is the school… Sometimes I wonder if this is elementary or kindergarten… and where the school is…? Why does 1st grade and 2nd grade combine into 1 class???
But overall it’s a good drama & I’m happy I can watch this…

This is the first time I watch bl series that highlight mental health issue.
For me, this series is one I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. I’ve seen the work of both lead actors before. I have absolutely no doubts about the cast or the director of this series, who also wrote the novel on which the story is based. I bought the novel because I was intrigued by the story. This is the first BL series I’ve seen that really resonated with me, especially given the themes it explores regarding mental health. I won’t give any spoilers. You just have to give it a try. And if you get the chance, read the novel too. This series is a visual treat with its vibrant colors, it’s not just about laughter. You’ll also see deep emotions. I highly recommend it to you.Was this review helpful to you?
Better Than I Expected
I’m not really a fan of BL dramas since most of them tend to follow the same predictable plots, so I didn’t expect much from Love You Teacher. But after finishing the whole series, I can say it surprised me in a good way. It didn’t rely too heavily on common clichés and instead focused more on storytelling and character development. What I liked the most is how the series kept a steady and natural pace without forcing the romance. The characters felt more genuine, and their development made the story more engaging. Overall, it’s not perfect, but it stands out enough to be worth watching—even for someone who usually avoids this genre.

A beautiful and emotional finale.
I know some BL fans may not fully connect with this series because the romance was never the main focus. This drama was more about healing, trauma, family, and learning how to love yourself again.Solar finally remembered the truth about his mother’s death. She did not try to end her life because she hated him or regretted becoming a mother. She protected him until her very last moment.
That truth changed everything.
Sun, the 7-year-old personality born from Solar’s pain and loneliness, was finally able to rest after learning that he had always been loved. It was heartbreaking, but also peaceful.
What I loved most about the ending was that Sun did not simply “disappear.”
He remained in the memories of the students, in Popmek’s daily life, and inside Solar himself.
The graduation scene was especially moving. The children accepted Sun as part of their classroom memories, and Popmek — who once disliked children — had grown into someone who truly loved and protected them.
“All students are little Suns.”
That line perfectly captured the meaning of this story.
The final beach scene felt warm and symbolic. At first it looked like only Popmek and Solar were there, but emotionally it became a moment shared by all three of them. The lullaby, the laughter, and the quiet sea created such a gentle farewell.
This was not a flashy BL drama full of fanservice. It was a healing story about broken hearts, childhood trauma, and the people who help us survive.
One of GMMTV’s softest and most compassionate series in recent years.

Let’s just wait—this story isn’t what people think it is. It’s written so well. I trusted P’Dome and PerthSanta, and they’re really giving exactly what I needed. I seriously can’t wait for more.

A MUST WATCH SERIES
Love You Teacher Series is not a typical story. It feels different from others. The plot is a bit complex, but it is easy to follow and keeps you interested from start to finish. I really like how much attention they give to every detail the script, the production, and even the small things. Everything has a purpose. If you notice little details, you will enjoy this series a lot. The sets are colorful but also warm and cozy, like home. It makes you feel comfortable while watching. I also like how the story moves between the past and present in a smooth way, slowly revealing everything. It makes you go, "Oh, wow." Anyway~ The main plot is about age regression, not magic, but a response to trauma. I like how they handled this topic with care. The story is interesting, and the love story feels real and heartwarming, the kind you wish you could have. This is just the beginning, and there is still more to come. That is why we keep watching and waiting..

Phenomenal. Give Me 10 More
Love You Teacher was number 9 on my most anticipated series for the GMMTV 2025 line up. I kept it at a cautious ranking because, while the teaser genuinely intrigued me, I was hesitant to put all my hopes and faith into this. I have an extremely weary history with GMMTV and how they've handled sensitive topics (*cough* Last Twilight*cough*) so immediately, I was worried on how they'd go about this, particularly with a child’s emotional perspective and thought process playing such a major role in the story. This appears to be Dome, the screenwriter and director's first explicitly BL show, and he nailed it on the head. Good job Dome, give me 10 more of these please, Dome.Let's Dive In.
Before even getting into the brilliance of the story itself, I have to give credit to whoever’s exceptional brain managed to perfectly communicate what this show was going to be through its wardrobe and set design alone. Not once did I stop admiring the tiny details stitched into every shot: Sodchuen’s cheese hair clip, Pobmek’s whimsical ties, Solar’s fun hoodies and sweatshirts. The entire aesthetic is so carefully crafted. The production team wanted it to look like a child's imagination exploded on the screen, and it worked out perfectly. I will also give a big round of applause to how mesmerizing the cinematography felt. The framing choices, the fluid camera work, and the dreamy color grading added this warm, storybook-like atmosphere that made every scene feel even brighter.
I'm not going to say anything here that hasn't already been spewed, but what's another fawning review on LYT?
It’s always bewildering to me how differently trauma can manifest from person to person. For Solar, it took the form of Sun, his seven-year-old self, almost forcing himself into hibernation so an alternate personality could exist to make life easier to survive. That’s where Santa’s performance becomes so remarkable. He captures the mannerisms of a child with almost unsettling precision. You can immediately tell when he shifts from Solar into Sun without the show needing to loudly announce it. Sun is bright, impulsive, and slightly brazen, carrying that fearless childlike honesty, especially around Uncle Kidnapper. Solar, meanwhile, feels like the quieter, older echo of that same child with how deeply empathetic, gentle, and constantly mindful he is of the people around him, especially Pobmek.
What I appreciated most was how carefully the series differentiated Pobmek’s relationship with Solar vs his relationship with Sun. Boundaries are established immediately, and thankfully, the writing never treats Sun in an infantilizing or inappropriate way for the sake of skinship or fan service. Of course, Sun is treated like a child, because that is what he is. But what makes the writing work so well is that it never crosses into uncomfortable territory or strange sexual innuendos. The series understands the important distinction here: this is not an adult pretending to be a child, but a child psychologically trapped inside the body of an adult. That difference completely changes the emotional lens of the story, and I really appreciated how mindful the show remained of that throughout its entire run. Both Perth and Santa embodied these characters wonderfully, and I’ll truly miss watching their performances in this series.
Kay, where have you been all my life. Truly enjoyed the energy portrayed within the friend group and how natural their chemistry felt on the screen. It was also nice to see Sammy back on my screen. She's such a talented actress, and I'm so proud she's still getting her flowers.
Ratings:
Story: 9/10 - Thank God for GMMTV’s new 10-episode format, because I honestly think two extra episodes would’ve pushed this into dragged-out territory. The pacing in this was excellent. Everything happens for a reason and scenes feel thought-out and meaningful.
Acting: 9.5/10 - Santa is a stellar actor, and Perth parallels that energy perfectly. They’ve quickly become one of GMMTV’s strongest pairings, with Perth bringing the confidence and nuance of a veteran actor while Santa continues to prove himself as an incredibly well-rounded performer. Their chemistry felt effortless from the very beginning, and I loved that the story started with them already as an established couple yet still managed to give me that fluttery, giddy feeling watching them together.
Music: 6/10 - It wasn't distracting!
Recommendation Value: 8.5/10 - I realize this series might not be everyone’s cup of tea given the subject matter, but I genuinely believe that if there were twenty different directions this story could have taken, Dome chose the right one. The series handles its themes with a lot of care while still allowing itself to be playful, heartfelt, and genuinely entertaining.

Feel good?
Just finished watching this!! Amidst all the intense, gripping, toxic adult series, this one is just simple, refreshing with all easy going green forests and near to reality!! Very simple story line, wit bunch of school kids with a school setup, two teachers who are also a couple navigating through the life together supporting each other and facing everything together and growing together!! Nice watch if you wanna watch something lightweight but not for those who wanna watch for intense dramWas this review helpful to you?

Not sure what to think of it.
When this was planning to come out I wasn't sure if I was gonna watch it. I love Perthsanta but I felt like the series might portray age regression wrong and perhaps even sexualise it. However, when the first episode dropped I got curious and wondered what it would be about, so I decided to watch it anyways.I heavily fuck with the aesthetic going on here, I want to own every outfit and it's just sooo cute. They really did some thinking about the outfits and I think I'm gonna try and DIY some of the outfits!! I love how the kids have the funniest nicknames like one of the kids being called bitcoin.. I mean okkkk. Elsa made me laugh so much she's so pick me hahahah. But she also makes it fun and she seems like a sweet girl.
I heard people mentioning this one social media but they put a LOT of detail in the smallest actions like sun drawing on the walls being one of the things he was told to do to copy.
So one thing I don't really like, gmmtv has a series against the idea of ai BUT still themselves useing for small images?? I don't get why they can't ask their creative team to make a picture. It's not like they don't have money and we alllll know how gmmtv treats their staff and artists... It's irritating and it makes the scene look cheap.
Another point of change might be beter ocd representation next time, but at least they tried to include ocd. I feel like they could've shown some emotional and other sides of ocd instead of the stereotypical 'everything needs to be organised' ocd representation. I loveee Jee but it would've been nice to know a bit more about him.
I love the actor of Jee in general. Jee is played by Kayavine and he is a YouTuber, although he hasn't posted in years and he seems like a very nice and fun person. I wish he got more roles, not specifically in bl main character but as side character. He really pulls off the 'comfort side character' in this series. I love him. I really hope he gets more roles and maybee even as main!
Only after episode 7 it gets interesting, to be honest I almost dropped it because yes, it was fun, BUT I was interested in why Solar regressed into Sun. This is obviously my opinion. I did really find comfort in Sun though.
I'm happy we're getting the side from Pobmek aswell and how he struggles with this. Around episode 8 we really get to see his emotions. Ofcourse he loves Sun but he's obviously tired of having to look after him all the time and some other things. Episode 8 in general was really emotional.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but you kinda HAVE to like this type of bl or it isn't something you'll enjoy. I have to say I like it wayyy more than I originally expected when I saw the trailer.
