Gem of a Drama
This gem of a drama was fully worth the watch and I highly recommend this heartwarming tale.Overall I would say:
This short drama has a good story that is actually very well developed, a lovely romance, epic in nature as it spans a few lifetimes, the acting is very well executed, I thought the costuming was well done and the OST was lovely.
At first I was not too sure about the storyline, but the more episodes I watched the more invested I became. In fact, there were a few episodes that I think rank as some of my all time favorite scenes from any c-drama's, and that is saying something.
It is not full of the usual c-drama tropes nor cliché's and the romance is more sweet than anything. No over drawn out storyline, though my one criticism is that this being a short episode drama still had a few of the limitations that all short drama's seem to have, i.e. the under developed storyline and frequent jumps from one scene to the next. However, for the most part I am over looking this due to the very nature of it being a short drama and how well the storyline was developed and told for the majority of the episodes.

'at dawn when the sky isn't fully bright, it's the only time night and day can merge'
he's the destined devil, she's the celestial destined to slay him in every life. love interrupts fate's planthe editing, directing, acting, writing were not really good, 1 star. I skipped a lot.
but there was something about the drama that made me watch till the end idk. like the basic concept was good, and they were able to draw a complete circle with the story, that always pleases me. also by the end I was really rooting for the cp. and that ml actor has those big puffy eyes that are just so lovely and filled with emotion🥺, I really wanted to see him happy.

Underrated…
Honestly, I don’t understand how the ratings on many many shows (including this one) are so low.it’s a great story. The actors were great in their roles. If they came across as a bit uncomfortable in each life, that lends itself to the premise of the story itself: of course they would be a bit “off”, having lived the reincarnation cycle over and again, without their memories, feeling oddly drawn to each other but not understanding why. And then, when they do get their memories, something happens requiring a tough choice and a decision to seal them away again. They never get to fully acknowledge, together, what they’d been through up to each point and use that information to align on a way forward that resolves the issues until the very end. (And oh, was that end worth it, even if a bit short due to the overall short format of the drama. 🥰).
I judge each show for how it made me feel, whether I invested in the characters and their plight, and whether I feel justice was served in the end. I never rewatch shows so I can’t rate that more than a neutral 5, and no, the soundtrack didn’t stand out to me, so I didn’t rate that more than a neutral 5 either.
I’ve seen way too many shows of varying length, notoriety of casting, and “familiar” plot lines that didn’t hit those top three marks for me.
So if you’re like me, this show is a solid watch with a good emotional payout at the end.
