So bad I had to keep watching until the end

After the second episode, I thought this was terrible. I just kept on watching to see if it would get any worse.

I was not disappointed...

Lots of things make no sense at all. If you try to analyze the situations and the characters' actions, you might end up asking yourself stuff like: "Why didn't she just ... ", "How come did he ... ?" or simply "WTF?"
Don't let logic get in the way and just enjoy the ride.

Acting is at the same level. I don't know if prefer the "deer caught in the headlights" look of the good FL, or the "scary face / giggle" of the evil one.

I hope there won't be a sequel or I will probably have to watch it too.

Not entirely terrible...but still bad

So...I didn't have any high expectations for this series. It's just that I like Sasaki Nozomi , watched some movies with her( for example Ju-On Beginning of the end), and subscribed to her instagram. And there I saw reels with her new thriller, and based on those reels it seemed pretty interesting. Well..unfortunately it wasn't.

First problem - the story. The beginning was alright. In fact, I actually liked scenes with main heroine's past. But already in episode 2 strange, stupid moments started to appear, and with each episode story was becoming more and more stupid. Then, something strange happened - I actually liked episodes 9 and 10...but the final episode ruined everything. Character's actions were stupid, illogical and the ending itself... well, it's not terrible, even has possibility for season 2, but also it may be considered a bit open-ended and finished. But if we talk about story in general, then it's bad. Mostly because of the "plan", which main heroine had. Because in fact, her plan is garbage, it's terrible...and her actions in the final episode, with main villain...what the hell was that?

Second problem - acting. For the most part, it's bad. Like...really bad. I like Sasaki Nozomi, she's a beautiful woman, but her acting here was terrible. Shibuya Nagisa played the main villain, and her acting...for the most part was cringy and bad. But there were few good scenes with her, that's why I think that her acting is bad because of the screenplay, because there few scenes, where she was creepy..in a good way. Other actors were also not really good, Makoto was mediocre. The only person with good acting here is Yanagi Yurina. Her acting is not mind-blowing, but it's good, probably the best among other actors. Unfortunately her screen time is very small. Oh, and the actress who played main heroine in high school, also was pretty good. But that's it.

I'm giving this series a 5 score, because episodes were really short, around 17-20 minutes each. And it wasn't like a big waste of time for me. If the episodes were longer, like 45-60 minutes, then I would rate is with 4. There are some good moments in this series, but for the most part it's bad.

Started off promising but plot line got boring halfway

This drama started off very interesting from ep 1-7. I really liked Rena’s psychopathic acting and creepy ‘normal’ smile. I think her character’s acting was the best in the drama but fell off in ep 8 and so on. I wish the drama could’ve implemented an in-depth development of her psychopathic character.. Like did she always need to use a pair of scissors to become threatening towards the main characters? Like they could’ve expanded more on her abilities because of her psyche. Her dad was a joke. He’s a psychiatrist but couldn’t go against Rena enabling her psychopathic tendencies. SMH lol
I feel like Sachiko’s acting was lacking and bland. She didn’t offer a variety of facial expressions. Sachiko’s initial revenge plan was thought-out and her determination to ruin Rena was there but sort of lost impact when she couldn’t eliminate Rena’s baby. Plus her emotional feelings towards Makoto definitely affected her plans.
After that, the plot line seemed to fall apart and lost its momentum making the ending not satisfactory for me personally. My perfect ending would’ve been that Makoto still died as collateral but Rena also dying in some way making Sachiko’s revenge feel complete. They gave Rena too much grace of depicting her still being human which just contradicts her psychopathic-muderous life and then having her end up in jail when she should’ve suffered way more.

BUT if I could change the plot line, I would’ve made Makoto’s character low-key messed up too since he knew that Rena killed his mom for him. Like it would’ve been a nice plot twist if he also had some psychopathic tendencies making him and Rena perfect for each other. Thus creating more determination for Sachiko’s revenge.

*definitely would not recommend others to watch-waste of time

The story is lacking revenge elements and casting is not good

I watched this drama because of Sasaki Nozomi and the plot that I was curious with.

The story lacks element such as what I am expecting
>The main character should be a badass
>The main character should not be emotionally carried away
>-The main character isn't smart enough
>I always sees flaws
>The main character should have seduced Makoto and make Rena jealous
>The main character should have manipulate Rena and expose her evil deeds!

When I start watching it this actress Nagisa Shibuya is cute but doesn't fit with the antagonist role because of her soft featured face no matter she tried I don't find it annoying and I just laugh at her. It would have been better if Ai Yoshikawa, Miyu Yoshimoto or Fukuhara Haruka or Ikeda Elaiza would work for this villain work. I'm sorry Nagisa Shibuya damsel in distress roles or tragic heroine. But kudos for her she is good at crying then Shibuya Nagisa should play the role of Winter Sonata because there's a lot of crying scenes suited for her.
should be for you and also
Sasaki Nozomi she is pretty but still doesn't fit in revenge drama because she lacks emotion. It would have been better if Tsuchiya Tao or Kyoko Yoshine would have played Sachiko Tachibana's role.

addictive mess

let me start by saying that i loved how messy this series was in the beginning- emphasis on the beginning. it lost me because the male lead turned out to be the dumbest man who ever lived. i felt bad not only for the female lead (whose life was destroyed) but also for the child of the second female lead and the male lead. Imagine having a spineless dad and a psycho mom as parents. the best parts of this series were the acting (everyone delivered peak telenovela-level performances), the editing, and the camerawork, all of which helped bring out the drama's genre. i really hope we get another revenge jdrama with slightly better writing in the future.

Started great and ended horrible

The first two/three episodes got me really invested in the story and honestly the acting was great but the more I kept watching the worse it got. Honestly the male lead is so poorly written and it could be so much better, and this could've all ended if they had in the first place reported the psycho girl to the police. To be honest its my fault for having high expectations but to be honest there were almost no aspects of revenge. The acting yes, the evil look yes, but there were no revenge in the end.

Haha, Poor Spider in the end! Scissors Serial Killer !!

The Story is Good.
Great Revenge plot!
Pacing, Story Narration, Direction, Production, Cinematography, Screenplay n Editing are GOOD.

****
To be honest, am not so impressed with The CHARACTERS n the ACTING.

Am totally satisfied with character Rena, her characterisation and the acting by that actress - Everything is IMPRESSIVE!
She, with her Spooky Evil Smiles 😱, rightly acted a Psychopathic role - WELL DONE!!
Even as an Obsessive Lover, she acted very well .
Scissors Serial Killer! 😂
Liked the acting of Rena actress Only (not the other actors n characters)

FL's character is well written but the acting is little bland.
As a viewer, couldn't get the emotional connection n depth completely with the acting.

Both the actresses for the role of FL did well, especially younger actress during high school.
The adult actress while seeking revenge, in initial episodes acted well, so we, as the viewer could connect emotionally for her revenge seeking efforts but in later episodes, her acting is little bland n plain, I couldn't get that depth n connection .
Overall, not so impressed with her acting here.

ML is handsome ;)
His acting is cool.
But his characterisation could be done little better.
For eg, he knew about his wife from childhood n yet didn't stop her at any stage, not even a little effort. Also when FL has shown him the proof of poor fishes, he just claimed that as an act of stress, not psychopathic :o

Rena's dad though being a psychology professor, did nothing, not so useful character.

Husband and Rena's psychology professor dad should have taken some action long ago, in childhood itself.
That would have had stopped this psychopathic Rena n would have had reduced the damage, the harm n the number of deaths .

Also, ML should have stood beside FL when she is in need in high school, since they were lovers back then.

The infant baby is super cute.
OmG! That baby in the ending scene :o, haha got it from her mom , haha
Though being raised by a good adopted mom n though being born to a good dad, she didn't inherit their qualities :/
U can't really stop the Instincts inherited by Birth🤭
Poor Spider! :|

****
What a Dramatic Climax! 😂
There is little weird acting in this finale ep

Cool Happy Ending - Everyone got what they deserved - Rena, her dad, FL, her friend, ML and the baby, everyone included.

Poor ML, for his negligence initially with his wife, he got such an ending, I feel bad but can accept it for this story.

But I expected a Different Happy Ending like FL n handsome ML together since they were first loves to each other, with the baby :)
n Evil Wife in Jail .

**** My Little Ranting:
My Bad!
Looking at the summary, I expected KD revenge drama "The Glory" (rated 9.5/10) sort of gripping emotional revenge plot n acting, where the viewer can feel the blood boiling intense moments during bullying n also can be relaxed n be at peace, once the revenge is obtained!
Haha, I expected such a vibe here from this summary .

Anyways, this is not too bad like the other JD revenge drama "Burn the House Down" (rated 7.5/10).
There, though the plot is good, it's boring initially. Only in the later episodes, story n acting got better n interesting .
This drama is not a disappointment like that drama entirely .

Overall, this is not bad n at the same time, not super impressive, it's just a GOOD ONE TIME WATCH!
Don't watch with expectations, only then u can enjoy!

****
I really loved the run time here.
11 episodes with 20 minutes each, a total of 3.5 hours.
And so this run time allowed for the RIGHT PACING, not including any unnecessary content fillers, which is a very good positive point for the drama.

Else Rating would go further down, if content fillers are added or even if it is little dragging.

I binge watched this, along with my mom :)

****
My Rating is 8.5 / 10
Could be More, if the characters and acting is better and then, this would be one of my favourite Revenge Dramas! :)
