Single Inferno season 5 review ?

🌟 Singles Inferno Season 5 – Couple Reviews

1. Double J Couple 🔥 (Rating: 10/10)
The undeniable highlight of the season. Their chemistry was natural, their interactions warm, and their journey consistent from start to finish, just that they were not giving enough screen time,😞. I loved their balance of tenderness and fun, making them the ultimate ship. A perfect 10/10—i couldn’t ask for more.

---

2. Goeun’s Choice (Rating: 1/10)
This pairing felt forced and lacked depth. The critique that Goeun should have picked no one resonates strongly—there was little spark, and even friendship outside the show seemed unlikely. A disappointing endgame decision that left me unsatisfied and make me start asking what was she thinking through her journey on single inferno?pls some one let me know

---

3.mingee Connection (Rating: 5/10)
This duo had NEVER had a genuine chemistry even during Thier conversations. While mingee was genuine, sungill was trying to get clarification from mina sue which didn’t end up well, so he decided to go back to the easy target mingee, if any viewer thinks this couple has genuine spark then you should rewatch all Thier scenes together and you will find out that it was one sided.mingee is just a good girl any guy will have and be happy if only sungill was more like jejin then they would have been no 1 couple. This bittersweet pairing will not last but ultimately fizzled out.if you think am wrong please let me know why?

---

4. Mina Sue’s Pairing (Rating: 3/10)
This ship felt one-sided. Mina Sue’s choice seemed more about avoiding ending up alone than genuine romantic interest. While they shared a good friendship, the lack of balance made the relationship unconvincing. A clear “abort mission” for Sam.

---

5. He sun / subeen Pairing (Rating: 7/10)
They didn’t start strong, but over time grew into one of the season’s best pairs. Lack of interest from subeen didn't give me any solid ground on their journey through our the show. from rocky beginnings to a ungrounded connection was at lest better i appreciated hesun for always keeping the door open and as for subeen learn to follow your choice even though it leads you to nothing 🫵.

---

6. Imaginary Couple 🥺 (Jejin ❤️ Goeun)
Though not an official endgame, this “imaginary couple” who have captured my hearts .Their chemistry sparked imagination, during the photoshoot and the way they talk to each other during that period who have been epic if jejin had picked her from the beginning.i loved shipping them despite the show’s outcome. Proof that sometimes the best ships are the imaginary ones.

---

7. Singles Inferno Endgame Couple (Critique: "lack of screen time for some contestants)
The final pairing left me and many viewers frustrated. The outcome felt predictable and lacked excitement, with accusations of giving more screen time to those (like goeun and sun gill)that Will give the show more views rather than given all equal screen time what will make us know what was really going on how grounded was each couple. Instead of a thrilling finale, I was left underwhelmed, questioning the authenticity of the show’s climax.

---

✨ Final Thoughts
Season 5 of Singles Inferno was a rollercoaster of emotions—some couples shined with genuine chemistry, while others felt mismatched or forced. The Double J Couple was the best and stole my heart as the season’s best ship, while others sparked debate and disappointment. Overall, this season proved to be the best along season 2 .once again I am passionately rooting for their connections on the real world.

the best SI season! funny and chaotic

This season is definitely my favorite! You get so many emotions while watching it. It was really interesting to see how the relationships between the singles were developing. Many of them immediately expressed sympathy, but the chance to spend time alone in paradise didn’t come immediately.
My favorite singles in this season were Min-gi, Hee-sun, and Go-eun, and the along men my favorite was HyunJae.
Min-gi captivated me with her personality and confidence. Hee-sun was charming, and it was heartbreaking when Su-bin's feelings were misguided. Go-eun had her own charm and radiated exceptional sincerity, care, and kindness. Despite the fact that Goeun couldn't decide or reveal her feelings until the last moment, I found her visually appealing and humble. I initially knew that she must have a lot of fans, because she does fit the standards of Korean beauty and her name sounds powerful.
Hyun-jae was greatly underestimated, as he was both handsome and charming. His character was initially modest, but it was evident that he would eventually reveal more of his personality.
There's no need to comment on Mina-su's antics, we all saw it online. Mina-su realized that she had lost everyone, so she clung to Sam Lee’s feelings to avoid being left alone. Min-gi's words helped her regain her sense of reason, as she had become too reckless. After the last Paradise, I-gon 's behavior became so erratic that it would have repelled any girl.
Despite everything, my favorite couples were Min-gi and Seung-il, Hee-sun and Su-bin, and Jae-jin and Joo-young, as their last trip to paradise was incredibly romantic.
This season provided plenty of laughs, but it also caused discontent due to Mina-su's antics. Although Mina-su's presence made the season more interesting, it also infuriated viewers.
However, I highly recommend watching this season, as it is a must-see show.

Mina sue brought the drama and carried the season on her shoulders !!

This might be an unpopular opinion since everyone spent the entire season dragging Mina Sue and yes, I was frustrated with her too after the campfire situation. But when she pulled Subeen aside (episode 7 I think) and properly apologized! It felt like someone who acted out of jealousy, she messed up, owned it, and tried to fix it..
And honestly once her drama cooled down, so did the show.

The last few episodes were painfully predictable. Go-eun having three guys into her should’ve been peak entertainment, but somehow it felt like watching the same “I don’t know who I have feelings for” conversation on loop. No tension, just polite back-and-forth.

Even the Subeen–Heesun “misunderstanding” edit felt like forced suspense. We all knew where that was heading. There was no real twist.

And I love Mingee. But if I’m being real! Her rivalry with Mina Sue was way more entertaining than her romantic arc with Seungil. The tension, the side-eyes, the subtle competition! That was true entertainment.

At least Mina Sue gave us chaos, jealousy, regret, redemption, drama. And once she stepped back, so did the drama.

Honest thoughts of an avid anti–reality dating show aficionado

I’ll preface this by saying: after years surfing MAL, I finally made an account because I *had* to point out how **HAWT** I-geon is. Like hello, I don’t think there’s enough ink about it. The moment he showed up on screen, we got that side profile first, and I literally paused and took a deep breath because I just knew he would be H.O.T.

He has such an actor face, and I really hoped he would pursue it…well.

I was worried they’d give him a playboy persona, but from the get-go he seemed to be into mature relationships. I expected the Ye-jin pickup, and it seemed like he chose Go-eun because he could fill the spot with a familiar face. But since their first date… damn. If flirting is a symphony, that man plays every instrument.

I don’t care if it’s scripted, if it’s acting, or if it’s to launch his career. He sold the role, and I am signed the f up for whatever he does next.

---

I’ll try to organize this now.

Basically, I always avoided dating shows like the plague. Something very twisted about the underlying promise of authentically falling in love when it’s still a production — a scripted setup with performers using their real names. And there’s also how thick your skin needs to be to participate, because you’ll be scrutinized for things you didn’t get the most say in, but you still have to sell the illusion that you did.

---

Go-eun and … Sung-min

I’ll circle back to Go-eun first. At the beginning, it did seem like she’d be the “foxy type”, but she turned out calmer.

My turning point with her was the photoshoot. Damn, I love seeing pros go at it. Jaejin’s approach was chef’s kiss, and I knew if they had any taste, they’d vote them for the win.

It’s interesting how what she said in her intro became true. She was interested in Hyeon-woo first, but the timing didn’t overlap. I don’t like speculating, but I do feel like she dated toxic guys and maybe she’s still in that mind frame.

I knew Sung-min would be popular on day one. He gives off calm, reliable energy, very pensive and grounded in his early conversations. But as the show went on, and contrary to how some people read it as confidence, I saw more insecurity and cornering tactics. And I don’t know how to feel about it seeming to work.

Like the panelists said: compared to how fun, dynamic, and substantial her time with I-geon is… we just don’t see what makes Sung-min the top pick. It’s a little unfair, editing-wise. With him we mostly get controlling energy and yapping, while with I-geon we get the full pool mating-call experience.

So I can’t help but speculate. It’s obvious Sung-min is rich. Maybe I-geon and Go-eun know each other better than they claim, or she heard something off-camera. It really feels like an important piece is missing.

---

Jaejin & Joo-young

On to less complicated plotlines.

Jaejin is such a breath of fresh air. He truly seems like an old soul isekai’d into this show. And it ALL made sense when he was revealed to be an artist.

I wish they showed more of his humorous bits. I knew he and Joo-young were endgame the moment she got his sense of humor and said she was into arts and crafts too.

Every time they’re together, I just take a deep breath and nod.

Grounded, clean, reassuring, whimsical. That’s their energy.

Ideally, they should be the main event given the show’s pitch. But what we all know - and might not want to admit - is that what people watch these shows for is the mess.

So let’s address it.

---

Mi-na

I don’t think “Mary Sue” is really into any guy. Choi Mi-na is Choi Minasexual.

At best, she’s into gals. Because the moment she senses one of them has something going on with a guy, she tries to cockblock. She talks about girls more than guys, if you pay attention.

At some point I found myself calling her insane, and then I had to slap some sense into myself. People should cut her some slack. She made the show dynamic. And it’s low-key hypocritical when the whole premise is being single and ready to mingle, but everyone acts shocked when she’s just more upfront about it.

The girl must have serious mental fortitude, because it’s obvious they assigned her the villain role.

I do think she’ll end up with Seunghun. She did her math early and made sure she had a Plan D ready. I’m not even playing devil’s advocate - she reminds me of a very specific type of messy girl.

Her expressions are exaggerated, she’s always looking for the camera, and the mental gymnastics she ping-pongs through while talking to different people is kind of impressive. The way she always frames things as “I didn’t want to, but I did it for you,” so it’s "okay if she eventually does what she wants".

One thing’s for sure: girl went all in for the performance.

---
I’ll talk now about the challenges, the contestants made all of them quite enjoyable, as simple as the premise might’ve seemed, but my favorites are still the 1st two: photoshoot and 1st couple game because they set everything in motion. For example, it made Mina interested in Su-been( although I think he caught her attention before) and Su-been in Hee-sun, yes , in that order, in this essay I will… Okay, lol,
---
Hee-sun & Su-been

Hee-sun is probably the one who flipped my initial reading of her the most. At first she seemed like the type to follow her crush around and do whatever to feel accepted, laugh instead of processing her feelings, just to not upset anyone.

I felt bad for her. Even rooted for her.

Then she flipped the table. Smart girl.

As for Su-been, he’s so drama-male-lead coded. His age made my jaw drop, but something about those World Cup babies, I’m telling you. (And the way he didn’t even ask what bag to carry — he just did it. That tells you everything)

I think he’s a direct upfront person with a strong sense of self, making him not susceptible to settle for bs , I think he stayed honest all throughout.

Looking back, when it seemed like he was ignoring Hee-sun, it was probably because he liked someone else and didn’t want to lead her on. But that changed after the photoshoot.

I knew if they ever got paired, I knew he’d fall. For one — or rather two — simple reasons: her boobs. I will not elaborate.

Something shifted after that, and it eventually bloomed into something really nice. Their date felt so natural, like they were already two years into their relationship. I laughed so hard when the panelists started acting like schoolgirls, hoping they’d kiss. Their paradise and post paradise time is quite memorable.

I did enjoy his date with Minjee as well, but not in the same way, I did wonder why she didn’t show interest in him and Hyeonwoo before it was too late, as they both have this cute boyish but also manly athletic charm, it’s so obvious they are sportsmen.

I think he felt genuine relief realizing this sweet, beautiful Hee-sun who liked him was also smart and secure. Absolute jackpot.

---

Min-jee & Seung-il

I liked Min-jee from the get-go. Actually, it was that clip of her grabbing Seung-il by the hood that made me want to watch the show. And it seemed fresh that a non player type would be the popular one among the guys.

As for Seung-il, at first, he gave off hustler energy, maybe someone constantly around older women, could be snobbish. But the more he talked, the more proactive and endearing he seemed. He asked everyone’s names, quickly understood the dynamics as to who the main girl and main upsetter could be, and even said them out loud.

But that blunt honesty later backfired.

Their relationship started strong, but it fumbled. At first I blamed him, then I remembered the hypocrisy. They’re told to explore, but get criticized for it.

He stayed true to his words: only interested in two people. And that second paradise date went badly for both him and his Mary Sue. I even caught myself thinking “deserved,” I felt Min jee would pick Su-been for the 2nd date and was like atta girl, as if her and Seung Il were already an IRL item, which made me realize how toxic that mindset is.

The real issue was the lack of communication and I feel this rough back and forth would follow them if they were to actually date, they would be the couple that breaks up and come back together more than the number of weekends in a year.

---

Time to start wrapping up

Special shoutout to my homeboy Seunghun. He’s so real. He feels like the rich moral-support friend, the third lead in a 2006–2009 reverse harem. Unexpectedly funny, supportive, I saw how he tried to help Hyun-jae get the girl.

He did stick to his first pick for the longest time, probably because the quick logistical calculation pointed him toward Mina Sue, and I do think it will pay off. But it was bittersweetly satisfying to see him and Heesun rise as the underdogs.

I loved their time in paradise; they both became more charming, and it was refreshing to see how he creatively addressed the two questions about age and job. So many of them jump straight to those topics as if they’re speed dating. I get the curiosity, but it honestly gives me the ick. I feel like those things should come out gradually, after you’ve both had the chance to get to know each other, and that habit seems to have shut down a lot of potential developments.

Ha-eun is sweet and bubbly, but they quickly labeled her the “younger sister,” so she ended up like Ye-jin: there for vibes and support. But I do appreciate the fact that the number of non toxic contestants is higher.

Ye-jin and Hyeon-woo honestly feel like they’re in the wrong show. They’re both ready to get wifed-up. And let’s be real, 30 is still very young. But she clearly came looking for an older, serious guy.

That’s why she basically ruled all of them out until I-geon showed up and even when she wanted to settle for him it was too late, but I totally get her chill laid-back energy and I know she will have many suitors .

I thought Hyeonwoo would pursue Jooyoung or Min Jee but welp Go eun acted first, it’s always interesting to see the subtle differences in cultures, because the way he acted in paradise might have been better received elsewhere.

Hyun-jae (Moon Sang Min is that you?) is another unproblematic sweet guy. Clearly grew up comfortably. Wishing him the best.

He could pair up with Haeun or Yejin but it would out of character, and I don’t think there’s a prize to win other than “finding love”? (and clout let’s be real).

---

Final thoughts

My top three: I-geon, Jaejin, and Su-been. Different charms, but they all carry themselves with grace and assertiveness.

Will I watch another dating show?

Still no.

Maybe season two, solely for Dex, as I’ve known him for a while. But it was interesting analyzing my own experience with the ultimate “spectacle society” genre.

This is a production, after all. It shouldn’t negatively affect people’s real lives. I did notice discussions get heated, but the promise should remain entertainment. As long as producers and viewers agree on that, all is good.

Overall the the most entertaining season so far

I'm glad that the production crew finally fixed their sht after the disappointment the last 2 seasons brought. It even felt like they listened to us viewers -- I was actually surprised that my suggestions for improving the show coincidentally happened for this season.

The main thing they needed to fix was the cast, and they definitely did good with this season's casting. Majority of the cast were interesting and contributed to the plot of the show. The last 2 seasons were full of model/influencer contestants, but now they've put back people with impressive backgrounds.

Mina Sue brought the fire to this season and totally carried the show early on. Minji brought the sass and totally gave "girl boss" vibes throughout the show. Jae Jin introduced a whole new character to the series and taught us that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Jae Jin was consistently impressive and admirable throughout the show, and his romance with Joo Young was a cute and lovely to say the least. Go Eun was the quintessential "it girl" of this season just based on the normal of male contestants that chose her, but I have to say that she lacked aura and charisma -- she was a bit underwhelming especially on the final episode. I-geon on the other hand is someone that tried to revive the vibe that Dex brought in season 2; a person with overwhelming charisma, a person that draws your attention. Though he was great in this season, Dex will never be topped and no one will ever come close, his impact is just something entirely different -- it was a valiant effort though.

Overall this season was great! I don't think there were boring moments throughout the show and I hope they continue making entertaining shows like this.

Character development worthy of a drama.

Easily the best season of Single’s Inferno, I even dare to say one of the best seasons of any Asian dating show. You had it all - fun characters, unique characters, annoying characters, hot, cute, smart, strong. You name it, they had it.

I do think a lot of pairings were rather obvious half way through, but the journey to get there had a lot of ups and downs. Be it caused by one and only “Mary Sue”, or personal indecisiveness, curiosity, lack of communication. If you wanted to map all the connections together, you get that “connecting dots” meme.

There were moments when I questioned the sanity of the people in the show, since their decision making skills were… interesting at best. Why did they choose it? Why did they say that? Why did they not explain? Why did they explain it this way? At times I felt like they are working hard to make their own lives harder. And it was so entertaining to watch.

What was best though were the MCs. That was probably one of the most honest commentaries I have seen in any dating show so far. You can clearly see when they are frustrated and annoyed, when they are happy or surprised. They criticize and question the contestants when they disagree with their choices. Their commentary simply did not feel as scripted as it usually does.

Overall, without giving any spoilers - worth watching. I was dropping everything to watch every episode as it aired. I liked the games they were playing - intense. I liked the switches between the “pairings”. I liked how unique everyone felt. Probably the best casting so far.

this season goes to the panelists ?

I think this season was amazing, far better than previous ones. I loved the challenges and you could tell that they allowed everyone to be more honest and direct.

I can also tell that Mina was obviously exploited as a way to keep users engaged somehow. Andyes she was the “villain” but also girl common…

all the couples that came out of this season are super cute and I do wish them the best. still we need justice for my girl Mingee she deserves better and for Igeon, thank god for the reunion is all I can say.

but tbh this season was for the panelists. they did NOT hold back with their responses and their reactions. I will never get over the “evil spirit is moving” line. I totally lost it HAHAHA. I know eventually they had to issue an apology (not needed tbh) but I hope they get to keep this level of unhinged response going forward because it was pure gold.

Single’s Inferno S5 Was Chaos and That’s Why It Was Great

Single’s Inferno S5 was by far the most entertaining season so far. The female casting especially Mingee and Minasue was truly top-notch. Both of them have norm-breaking personalities and strong character, and they’re beautiful without fitting the typical “Korean beauty-bot” standard.

The new concepts this season were also a huge plus. The photoshoot challenge, especially forcing the other participants to watch, and the Truth Game were genuinely funny and entertaining. Minasue alone creating chaos everywhere brought S-class entertainment value to the show.

That said, Paradise dates were still boring as usual, the same luxury hotels, fancy food, and unnecessary pool scenes. The interactions between participants were interesting, but not because of Paradise. In fact, Inferno Island itself was more entertaining than Paradise.

I’d say the show really broke its own formula because of Mingee and Minasue, combined with the Truth Game and photoshoot challenges. As usual, mid-season participants lost their impact since they joined too late to matter.

Overall, the casting choices were perfect, and the new games were genuinely interesting, but the Paradise date concept is clearly losing its value. The show needs more challenges and stronger motivations to force participants to actually interact and date each other.

Speechless

Watching this season was truly a rollercoaster—from unexpected twists to intense battles for each contestant’s chosen partner.

After finishing Season 2, I immediately jumped to Season 5, and I can confidently say that this season surpasses Season 2 in many ways. While Season 2 had its highlights (including some memorable moments from Jinyoung), Season 5 delivered a deeper emotional intensity and a more raw portrayal of how the contestants expressed their feelings. The overall tone felt more daring and emotionally charged.

My favorite couple was Seunggi and Min Gee—absolutely iconic.

What truly stood out to me was Min Gee’s competitiveness. Her determination, confidence, and willingness to fight for what she wants were thrilling to watch. The intensity in her gaze alone made her unforgettable.

The same goes for Seunggi. His consistency and resolve matched Min Gee perfectly. Together, they are undeniably iconic.

The twist in Episode 9 genuinely caught me off guard. It felt like watching a full-blown K-drama unfold. Episode 10, 'pool scene', stood out gracefully. The tension, eye contact, and unspoken emotions were incredibly well-executed and left a strong impression. That scene alone made me appreciate the show even more.

Overall, this season was phenomenal. While waiting for Episodes 11 and 12, I started watching Season 4, but even without finishing it yet, Season 5 still stands out as the stronger season. The chemistry among the contestants was excellent and played a major role in making the show so engaging.

Mina Sue deserves special mention—her actions stirred strong reactions, but undeniably made the season more entertaining. Her final decision felt grounded and satisfying.
Jaejin was a standout personality—naturally funny and very charismatic.
Sungmin had moments that felt overwhelming, but it added to the dynamic of the group.
Sam was steady and consistent.
Hyeonwoo—a learning experience, but growth is part of the journey.
Seunggi carried himself with confidence and style throughout the season.
I Geon truly caught my attention—I hope to see more of him in future dramas.
Hyunjae—perhaps next time.
Subeen also stood out; his presence and charm were impressive, and his journey felt rewarding to watch.

In conclusion, this season delivered strong storytelling, memorable moments, and compelling character dynamics. Easily one of the most engaging seasons so far.

Single's Inferno 5 is chef's kiss!

I love this franchise and have watched every season since, and so far, this season has been my favorite! It was such a ride. I thought every one of the cast member was good looking and interesting. The first few episodes got annoyingly frustrating because of one contestant but eventually she redeemed herself and honestly, it turns out, she is the realest of them all. My favorite couple this season is Hee-sun and Subeen. Love love love them. Hee-sun and Mingee were my favorite girls this season and I-geon (who I have followed since his Eden 2 days) is my top guy. This was such a fun show. I especially loved the panel which is not typical because usually they can get annoying and I would normally skip over them in reality shows but I love the SI panel. I could watch this show over and over and follow their stories even after!

Season 5 - Brought the Entertainment

I've watched every SI and I always start the season excited, but end feeling let down. This season was no different but I would say the "down" part of it was slightly elevated. I think the best place to start is to just list my likes and dislikes about this season. I will also write some on the contestants and the coupling up at the end. If you do not want to read spoilers then don't read the end of the review.

What I liked:
-Cooking together in a kitchen/eating place was back and I loved it!! Especially in the first few episodes when the contestants are meeting each other and flirting over cutting carrots and making rice.
-I thought the Inferno sets were really nice. The places the couples could hang out and talk looked comfortable and inviting.
-Paradise was enjoyable, which included some activities like bowling. It was nice that some activities were included as just watching couples eat and drink gets boring.
-Loved the couples photo shoot competition, and also the truth game they played.
-The competitions were also good. Matching up with colored balls where the pink ball was the kiss of death. Very funny!

What I didn't like:
-There is a certain amount of SI that just seems so contrived. Like the contestants are given a role to play and then they play it out, only some are really bad at playing their role. There are so many times when it doesn't feel natural with the contestants. But then reality shows are all about putting people in unnatural situations and see how they react.
-Dating is so different from this show. Korean dating is even different than this show. So it's frustrating to have to watch people "date" in an unnatural way. Really the only thing they do is have numerous conversations but they aren't allowed to know their age or what they do, which in Korea forms the foundation for how people communicate to each other, at least until they go to Paradise. So a great deal of this show is watching and listening to all these awkward conversations.
-For the first time, the panelists disappointed me. More often than not, when I was frustrated with the show, the panelists kept me entertained, but not this time. They did well in the first episodes, really funny and entertaining, but the last couple of episodes I found the panelists to be too judgmental. Almost mean. One example was when Hyun-woo made a confession about his feelings at the final dinner. I thought he was sweet and sincere. The panelists just made fun of him, and I thought what they said was quite rude. In Season 3, drama queen and asshole, Gwan-Hee, got away with so much bad behavior and the panelists for the most part excused it. In this season, they were especially hard on certain contestants who were not nearly as bad as Gwan-Hee.
-I didn't like that they cut out the final challenge and winning couple's dinner. We only saw bits and pieces. But they seemed to do this by making the final choice long and drawn out. I would have preferred the challenge and seeing the couple's date.
-It's getting annoying to watch scenes play twice, and lines repeated two or three times over.

My thoughts on the contestants and the couplings: Warning!! Spoiler Alert!! I actually do not believe any of these couples will end up together once the show is done. Let's just be real here. They are on this show for exposure and to inject some life into their careers.
1. Choi Mina Sue and Lee Sung-hun - Mina Sue was this season's drama queen and boy did she bring the drama. She was definitely the contestant everyone loved to hate. Sung-hun was a breath of fresh air for this show. Incredibly intelligent and successful, he didn't play mind games, just brought his calm and confidant self to the mix. He was a favorite of mine. He was really patient with Mina Sue as she proceeded to try on every guy on the island, but in the end they left together hand in hand.
2. Kim Goeun and Woo Sung-min- Goeun ended up being the female that three guys were vying for. She stayed mysterious to the very end drawing out the suspense endlessly in terms of who she would end up with. The panelists were all surprised when she chose Sung-min but I wasn't. She and her 2nd choice, I-geon, knew each other from a mutual acquaintance and I always wondered if she knew something about I-geon that we the audience didn't know and maybe it was a red flag(???). Who knows.
3. Kim Min-gee and Song Seung-il - these two were definitely the two funnest people on the island. They spoke very openly and honestly and said some things were just hilarious. They are the type of couple people enjoy hanging around because they're so funny together. My favorite of the season.
4. Lee Joo-Young and Kim Jae-Jin - they were the "artistic" couple. She a designer and he a dancer. They were really cute, romantic, and adorable to watch.
5. Park Hee-sun and Lim Su-been - a low-key couple that the producers tried to interject some drama into their relationship, but it just didn't work. They were cute and adorable but so very boring as well.
Others that didn't get picked - You can't talk about this season without talking about Jo I-geon. About as hot a guy as you can get. I saw him in the Kdrama The Trunk and he's smoking hot, hot, hot. He was brought on as a game-changer and he didn't disappoint. I'm sure he did this to get more exposure for his career and I hope he gets it. Also brought on as a game-changer was Lee Ha-eun. She got very little air time, but what I did see of her, she seemed really funny and a fun person to be around. Lastly, Ham Ye-Jin, Youn Hyun-Jae, and Shin Hyeon-woo who along with Ha-eun and I-geon were sitting there at the very end not getting picked. I enjoyed all of these contestants who came across as sincere and nice people. And it just goes to show that attraction is a weird and funny thing because sometimes the nicest people end up alone.

TOP photo shooting

I really liked the novelty of the photo shoot. It's clear the cast wasn't chosen at random. They aim for high standards of beauty, including Miss Korea, athletes, and photogenic people like models and actors. I have no complaints about it, because it's beautiful to look at, but on the other hand, I feel like they somehow "look fake" and are acting rather than truly interested in finding their soulmate.
In this season, compared to the other four, I missed the part where they get to know each other in their bedrooms, where their personalities could have emerged more (where they sleep, when they wake up, small gestures like brushing their teeth together or drying their hair...) than in the restaurant or in a group setting, where those personalities aren't easily revealed.
During the last dinner, I was disappointed that they didn't show everyone's reactions to the two taboo things they couldn't reveal: their age and job. I also found it unfair that the questions weren't asked to everyone, but almost exclusively to Go Eun.
What about the news that one of the commentators, Hong Jin Kyung, was supposed to apologize to Mina for something she said about her? Afterward, there was a real sense of self-censorship and a restraint in the comments, and I'm disappointed about that. Personally, I think they're all excellent and never inappropriate.
Mina, for sure, was a self-centered figure who repeatedly disrupted the stability of some couples just for the sake of getting attention. I also find her final choice purely selfish, so as not to go out alone. A woman like Min Gee, direct and honest, my best, would have been much better. Another woman who made us despair was Go Eun, who, the entire time, kept three men on edge before surprising us with her final choice. On the men's side, I'll definitely remember Jae Jin with his guru-like aplomb: calm, reassuring, and quite intriguing.
"Paradise," the 5-star Inspire Hotel in Incheon, was truly a fairytale.
After every reality show of this kind, I'm always curious to see if the couples hold up outside the bubble that is the show, or if they fall apart in everyday life. In this regard, I saw that six episodes of "Single's Inferno Reunion" are scheduled to air on February 14, 2026, which I absolutely must watch.
