17 MINUTES OF CUTIES
Well, honestly I don't have many words to say. This was a cutie little watch, and I would watch again if I just needed something to do for 17 minutes. The story is that Riku and Keita are in a romantic relationship, but they’ve chosen to keep it hidden from the people around them. While they care deeply for each other, the secrecy sometimes weighs heavily on Keita. He occasionally finds himself questioning his place in Riku’s life, wondering if the need to stay hidden means their relationship isn't as important to Riku as it is to him. The lack of openness can leave him feeling isolated, especially since neither his parents or friends know.
Riku and Keita are both cuties, and I enjoyed the scenes that we got. Although it was so short, if there was ever a possibility, I'd want to see an actual drama with these two and similar storylines, just more into depth. Keita resembled Kiyoi from My Beautiful Man, but both leads were definitely beautiful men. ALSO the girl😭 she lowkey represented us with her always being like "😳🫣" y'know? Overall, it was a cute little watch and I enjoyed it :-)

Short, Sweet, and Seriously Adorable!
💖 17 Minutes of Pure Cuteness — I Need More!! ⏰💘I just finished Why Do We Have to Hide It?! and even though it’s only 17 minutes long, I LOVED every second! 🥹✨ Both actors are stunning and had great chemistry — the looks, the little gestures, the tension... all packed perfectly into a short runtime 💞.
The plot is super simple — two boyfriends keeping their love a secret — but it’s told with so much heart. Honestly, this short film gave me more feels than some full 8-episode series I’ve watched 😅.
I really hope this gets expanded into a full series one day — I’d be so ready to invest in it! 💸💖 Until then, this is a sweet, cozy watch that I highly recommend. Just wish it was a bit longer!
⭐️ 8/10
⏳ Short but absolutely worth your time! Don’t miss it!

This review may contain spoilers
I forgot how I came across this title, but here I am — done watching it.It's a story about Riku and Keita, who are in a relationship but keeping it a secret.
Riku is the popular guy in school, while Keita is just an ordinary student. Their secret relationship sometimes makes Keita feel insecure.
It turns out Riku isn’t hiding the relationship for himself — he’s doing it to protect Keita. As a popular student, Riku doesn’t know how their classmates might react if their relationship becomes public. He’s afraid that coming out could put Keita in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
By the end of the story, Keita’s growing insecurities force Riku to make a decision about where their relationship is headed. Will they finally go public, or will they break up? And how will their classmates actually react when they find out — will they be supportive, or will they mock them?
That's pretty much the story without giving too much spoiler.
Sometimes, the simplest stories are the most powerful. Riku and Keita don’t need grand gestures or complicated drama to make us root for them. Their love story quietly but deeply captures the internal struggle between true feelings and societal expectations.
At just 17 minutes long, it’s absolutely worth your time.

Cute.
This was a cute short film, well acted and made. Just a little story about love and trying to protect the one you love. I really enjoyed watching it.The main actors had good dynamics and the girl with the glasses was just the best! She played her role so well.
I really recommend watching it.

indie short movie with an established couple
Overall: I gave this an indie rating bump. 17 minutes. Aired on Cul Drama's YouTube Channel https://youtu.be/O7RpyECuUM0?si=WXi_szpfEBu-pcUa The production also made this short BL series https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTzMpGBkGlIYOyVq-m3cPEdl4LBIh5hjX&si=Mcsx6cMcvi6-nbEDContent Warning: homphobia
What I Liked
- established couple went thru a realistic challenge
- the supportive classmate though wasn't a fan of how it seemed she was following them
- the mom
Room For Improvement
- wannabe girlfriend cliche
- fever after what was implied
- what was camera blocked at the end
