Very funny, a little campy with spicy moments
I do love Max and Nat's chemistry, it's so interesting seeing them play in reversed roles and its very refreshing to see Thai BL characters switch between who is topping and bottoming especially considering the size difference with this couple in particular, I feel like this sort of dynamic is shown less in BL. I do recommend going back and watching episodes 3 and 4 of Y-Destiny just to get an idea of who the characters Sun and Nuea are before the body swap since this is a Spin off series but its definitely not needed with the way they set up these characters. My problems with this series is with the repetitiveness of the swapping, the constant reiteration of their issues, I think maybe this series would’ve been better as a shorter 5 ep mini series. It feels to drawn out for me for what it is.

Neither bad nor good, but some aspects are bad and some are good
With this series I'm very split... The part where they record their video-memories are really good. The story is a dog biting his own tail running in circles and the comedic parts are just annoying. While the story is not great, it at least has some redeeming qualities and the mature parts are really nice. The other stuff is just there including a side couple and some NC scenes which are maybe nice to watch but not really essential at all. One highlight for me is "Cooheart" playing the "lady" of the family but not over the top as in many other series but with an aura we seldom see from him. I guess he had the most fun playing in this series. The contrast between the MLs was quite stark and may be an eye-sore for some but I guess that's done for "dramatic effect".
If they had done the show more seriously it would have been much better imho, but this story it's an improvement from their last series which was worse for me. Sadly Max & Nat have never had a good project yet and I have no hopes this will ever happen. At least they tried their best. This series is only 30-35 mins per episode, so you can rush the 10 episodes quite fast compared to most other thai shows.
Final verdict: Some will hate it, some will love it and I'm split :) I see what they tried to do, but the execution is not to my liking. But it's not that bad either. So judge for yourself.

it keeps getting worse
I like max & nat but the repetitive storyline and redundant issues faced by their characters every episode got old weeks ago. this is a waste of their talent and my time. the story is inconsistent, the side characters have little chemistry, and every episode has had basically the same plot. it’s a fun concept if it were written well but so far it’s been poorly executed. Was this review helpful to you?
Suntiny – A Drama That Needs Understanding
So what should I say about Suntiny? For me, it’s a drama that takes a lot of emotional understanding. From the beginning, I really loved how the relationship between Sun and Nuea started. It felt like the kind of connection anyone would want — sweet, funny, and natural.
Sun is a smart guy — calm, quiet, and introverted. He’s a teacher who just wants peace and simple love.
Nuea, on the other hand, is a celebrity — loud, bold, extroverted, and full of energy. He loves adventure, going out, and being openly affectionate.
You can already tell they come from very different worlds. But still… they try.
One of the realest things in this drama is how it shows the silent misunderstandings in relationships. Nuea sometimes feels like Sun isn’t responding to him emotionally or physically, especially during intimate moments. It makes him feel unloved, like maybe he's not enough.
Sun, meanwhile, is trying everything he can to make things work — but he doesn't know how to express it in a way Nuea understands. He’s doing his best, but his quiet nature makes it hard to show.
And that’s exactly why the body-swap happens. It’s not just for fantasy or fun — it has meaning. The body swap shows how different their experiences are. Sometimes, until you live in someone’s shoes, you won’t understand what they go through every day. And Suntiny makes that message hit.
This drama reminds us that even in love, you can feel lost when you're not on the same page. Whether in dating or marriage — if you don’t explain things clearly, your partner may never truly understand what you're feeling inside.
Apart from the emotional depth… okay let me be honest — I loved the 18+ scenes too 😏🔥. They were beautifully done, not over the top, but mature and emotional. The style, visuals, and direction? Top-notch.

🩷 The Second Couple: Temp & Toy
Let’s talk about Temp and Toy — oh my god 😭😭
I did not expect Toy to have this side of him. He’s so clingy and soft, and it's so adorable, especially since he’s a temple boy who doesn’t really have much experience with love or relationships. It makes his awkward, shy side even more lovable.
Their chemistry is so good, and honestly? I need a whole drama just for them. I don’t care if they’re the main leads or side characters — I’ll watch it. I just want more of them together on screen.
So please — if anyone sees any upcoming drama with Temp and Toy as a couple, let me know immediately. I’ll be watching with my whole chest. 💯

Final Thoughts:
Suntiny is not just a love story — it’s about communication, miscommunication, emotional understanding, and what it really means to love someone with a different way of expressing love. It’s soft, funny, deep, sexy, and surprisingly real.
I’m in love with both couples. I would 100% rewatch this drama.
Highly recommended. 🌞💖

Suntiny – From Brilliant Start to Boring Finish (5/10)
Suntiny started with such a bang that I truly thought it would be one of my new favorites. The first two episodes were wild, funny, and had me hooked immediately.Wait… they swapped bodies and now they’re doing it?
So basically… they’re kissing themselves, touching themselves, and then having full-on sex with themselves? 🤯
That’s not just self-love — that’s advanced-level narcissism.
It’s giving: “I’m my type.”
Weird, wild, and… disturbingly hot in a way that makes you question everything.
I laughed, I gasped, and I thought this show was going to be a chaotic masterpiece.
…but then it all went downhill. 😞
The plot became boring, repetitive, and basically non-existent by the later episodes. MaxNat are incredible actors (I loved them in Two Worlds and Naughty Babe), but this series gave them nothing to work with. I really wanted to love it, but in the end, it’s one of the weakest BLs I’ve watched.
They deserved a better script. 💔

an established couple with too much repetitiveness (watch suggestions)
Overall: I was looking forward to seeing an established couple navigate a challenge; however, re-telling the same plot points over and over made this challenging to watch. There did seem to be some crossover with Y Destiny, but I don't think you need to watch it in order to watch this series. 10 episodes about 30 minutes each. Aired on iQIYI https://www.iq.com/play/suntiny-episode-1-27wncv1edpg?lang=en_usContent Warning: self harm mentioned, non con kiss
Watch Suggestions (to reduce the repetitiveness)
- watch episodes 1 & 2
- skip episodes 3-6
- episode 7 watch 4-6:50, 12:30-22:20
- episode 8 watch 2-3, 17-19:45
- episode 9 watch 7:15-8 for side couple montage and 30:30-33:15
- watch episode 10
What I Liked
- established couple
- different personalities/styles in the beginning
- styling
- ongoing physical intimacy/mutual want
- that Toy stood up for himself
- supportive friends
Room For Improvement
- the spoiler start of the series
- the exposition/feeling dumps with the camcorder verses showing the viewer how they feel/it happening organically
- going into a bathtub with underwear on
- people laughing at him for his issue
- repetitive and since they were frequently styled similarly it was difficult to know when they were in different bodies
- that mask thing was odd
- the side couple guy felt like a player for way too long, at episode 6 we should have seen character growth/change
- too many flashbacks
- the non con kiss with the side couple
- cliche "I can explain" but doesn't explain in person or text with plenty of time to do so
- comedy sound effects didn't make things funny

"What The F*ck?"
I really like quirky supernatural/soul swap stuff, so this was on my radar even though I haven’t watched the prequel or know the actors. But… it didn’t hit. At all. Same thing happens again and again every episode, it got repetitive, frustrating, and honestly boring. The episodes are short but feel so long.
The self recording videos were boring too (not into that style in general), and they just say the same stuff again in a different tone, different outfit (or body). I skipped them all.
The soul swap should’ve been the main plot, but it really just feels like a setup so the two leads can have sex.
And honestly, the acting didn’t help, they’re supposed to be swapped, but it never felt like they actually changed. Same vibe every time, they didn't play as each other convinceingly.
The second couple had potential, they were cute. but even that got less interesting towards the end.
Outfits were not great, but I guess they fit the quirky vibe.
So yeah, I don’t recommend watching this at all. Had a fun idea but the execution was just… not it.

SUN-Y Twists
So I feel like many aren't aware that this is a spinoff of Max and Nat's characters from Y-Destiny which came out years ago. Which I did see and enjoyed! I don't think its required to watch it prior to this show, but it helps establish a little bit more with Sun and Nuea's characters. Either way, this show was interesting. It definitely flipped the script on a lot of BL tropes which I enjoyed and I could tell Max specifically was having so much fun with this role. Both of them played each other pretty damn well and it was fun to watch! Though the plot was a bit repetitive at times, the show didn't stretch its length too far and I enjoyed these 2 in a series I enjoyed more than 'Naughty Babe' which was rough lol.Was this review helpful to you?
Just total nonsense
This series is a total flop, the switching back and forth and erectile dysfunction was just nonsensical. The acting was subpar even though Max Kornthas Rujeerattanavorapan acting is versatile Nat Natasit Uareksit acting is not, It's as if he's just stuck in one mood and at this point it's annoying leaving the good to suffer for the bad .The constant recording of themself as if they were on a reality show doing confessionals were dump, it took switching bodies for them to understand their partners feelings? that proves they were not connected strong enough through communication and understanding of each other not even a little bit. Overall snooze fest. I honest had to skip through every episode. Was this review helpful to you?
Worst BL this year - don't wast your time on this one
This was the worst BL series I've seen in years. I ended up fast-forwarding because I somehow thought it might get better later on but no, it didn't. Strange story, extremely slow and boring, I don't understand how the famous actors, neither the main roles nor the supporting roles, could even agree to be in such a bad series. There are tons of BL series released every year - this is not one you need to prioritize watching. Was this review helpful to you?
Suntiny is a riot
Their last serious series blew me away, and I cried so much that I was hoping for a tongue-in-cheek series. Well, they are nailing it. This is hilarious, and I applaud them for their creativity. The Freaky Friday trope is challenging to execute, so it was exciting to watch how they navigated it as artists. There were additional great actors like Earth and others who added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a funny NC flick with some twists & turns, this is for you. This has comedy, relationships, family drama, friendship drama, and some corniness, which adds to its appeal; it checks all the boxes. I have been surprised and have laughed out loud. I'm so used to Max's usual strong, sexy, cool, fearful previous roles; this was a diversion, and he nailed his role. Was this review helpful to you?
