Low production, cute/handsome actors
Sukfilm is known for their short series with few actors. While I feel some tensions between the actors, it's not the best chemistry. The series is partly steril. That's the fault of the settings. Even the bar feels lifeless. The locations besides the appartment are not choosen well and as always they can't fill the void with extras. The story is cliché as usual. Childhood friends reunite and at least one of them is (still?) in love after 15 years! It's a bit much imho. I can't say it's bad, but it's also not good from a story telling view. It also makes the story not believable when you have no background at all. The clumsiness of the "writer" is partly cute but partly annoying. So I'm divided on this series. At least it felt not cringe or childish. You have to deceide yourself if you like this series or not, at least it felt not a waste of time.

controlling writer and his doe eyed prey
Overall: I did not enjoy the dynamic with the leads and they once again inserted a useless love triangle. Aired on Sukfilm's YouTube channel https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYfaogVGCvwTLtMP5RnShUW6BHVbJmk9R&si=ydgeYlQSObe6tvN4Content Warning: non/dub con kissing turned consensual
What I Liked
- visuals
- production value was good for an indie series (though the music should be quieter when they were talking)
Room For Improvement
- how the writer was controlling (told him to come home earlier) and made the other guy feel bad for the sticky note, he apologized and said he wouldn't do it again but was again controlling (gave him a curfew)
- love triangle with a much better candidate for a boyfriend
- the naive guy voiced his inner thoughts
- the drunk kissing trope

Below average, just watch it to fill your time!
It's basically a short, low-budget, and filling bl drama. i couldn't udnerstand the chemistry much. the kiss scenes very so sudden with minimal chemistry.i think it had the potential to better if not for this production and short drama because there was no development and 4 episdes each around 15-20 minutes doesn't even make it a movie imo.
overall, not recommended. if you like to see a bl with cute leads that doesn't make sense, give it a try.

never fair, never fleshed out
Never Fair is a straightforward short-form BL drama centered on childhood friends reuniting as adults. Visually, it’s appealing, and the chemistry between the leads is definitely present. For a series of this length, it makes a strong first impression with its setup.however, where it falls short is in its character dynamics and execution. one of the leads comes off as overly controlling and possessive, and the story doesn’t provide enough time or depth to explore or justify that behavior. additionally, the first kiss happening while one character is intoxicated felt uncomfortable and poorly handled. for a relationship that’s supposed to be rooted in history and trust, the moment lacked the necessary emotional grounding.
the love triangle subplot also didn’t land—there was very little chemistry between the characters involved, and the conflict felt forced rather than organic. while short dramas often face limitations, many recent k-bls have proven that it’s possible to deliver a tight, emotionally satisfying story in under 10 minutes per episode. this one just didn’t quite get there.
there’s clear potential in the premise, and the series isn’t without its enjoyable moments, but ultimately, it left little lasting impact. it's a decent filler watch if you're not expecting much, but sadly, pretty forgettable overall.

I don't think I liked it.
The acting was good, but the story was not great. Not only was it about one character being very controling of the other character, and if he says it was all for love, and he didn't have any other way to express himself, then, what, do we fault society for not giving men, and this man in particullar, any emotional intelligence or healthy ways to express themselves? I would have liked to see him apologize more, and make it up to the kid. Show he can be an emotionally intelligent BF who no longer controls his BF - doesn't stop him from seeing others, doesn't control his actions... I think if we saw a behavior change, then that would be great, but these are short episodes in a short show with parts of the story only restricted to subscribers. I don't fault them for this. They gotta make money. It's a great strategy, too. However, when your last episode cuts off so abruptly that your audience spends ten minutes trying to figure out what happened (ok, I knew it was the end of the drama because the video's title was literally 4/4), you know it was really bad, really unfortunately abrupt. And not in a way where I still wanted to know what happened and pay to watch the additional part (good financing strategy), but in a way where I felt like I went to take a step and found out there was no ground under my foot and my foot was over the edge of the canyon.Oh, the main reason I wrote this review was because I really liked the closing song! And I rarely notice the music. It wasn't even that it was pleasant and fit the theme of the drama, but I wanted to listen to it on it's own and tried really hard to find it. (but no luck yet.

I Wanted A Bit More
This little engine that could did.A story of childhood friends that have not seen one another years and due to his mother a young man moves in with his "brother" as a way to save money as he charts his path in the world. He tries to find work but seems confused by his brother's possessiveness.
Feelings are a weird thing and even as kids we can bond with and remember a person being special to us even if at the time of childhood we don't really understand what it all means.
Their chemistry was understated but it was definitely there. Pity I don't know the actor playing the younger of the 2 as it is not on the MDL page but I loved him and his almost blank expressions. It was like a person afraid of what the world would do to his naivete.
And falling for his hyung was just sweet. I loved it.
The drunken kiss was regrettably hot. Especially the uncut version.

Very Cute
Non complicated plot and some really adorable actors. Pretty low budget as I think it looked like just different angles of one room, but it was very well done for what was likely a very small amount of money. The actors portrayed the parts well, nothing overdone or cringe. The kiss scenes were very nice, something highly rare in a Korean BL and I loved it. Longer would have been nice, but as it is, it is a very good watch. All the elements are present with no extra fluff so it's all good. Was this review helpful to you?
ehm..
It's hard to give a revieuw, i liked it, but i didn't like it at all at the same time...The story was ok, not great, but not bad either. It's a low budget series and that shows in the cut off scene's.
The extremely dominant character made me cringe, i really hate characters like that.
Yoo Jin Seok did a great job, he is a very good actor. Sadly there was no chemistry at all with the other main lead.
The third character didn't add much, his role was too passive to make it an interesting love triangle.

Really not fair !! Give them full length series
Being a short series & only 4 episodes, they have already done enough justice. Though the scenes were bits & pieces, it was enjoyable. Both Male Lead actors acting and chemistry was so good that they need another full length series.
The actor On Yu perfectly nailed his character of being rude & mean all the time. On the other hand Hyeok well played his character of being innocent with that puppy face.

Underwhelming
Why on earth would one want to make a series with not even a half-cooked script...beats me.....It seems like they just put together some trope scenes and thought it will suffice....maybe this could just work as a comic strip/manhwa, but as a live action show- NO.BL-needle score: 8. Reasonably high BL-ness
Nothing much to write, the casting, the dialogues, the script, everything seems half-hearted and pointless. Even with a 8 minute length, or 13 minute (episode 3) it's a drag. Why waste so much effort and money...I wonder!!! My verdict - Nah, don't waste your time.
