Worst Oxin Series

The story was very promising, a love story between rich and fisherman but the acting was the cringiest. Good looks yes but pls let them undergo acting workshops. Sometimes very evident that they just recalling their lines/script. The scenes were dragging too. Missed potential.

Pros:
1. Nice story
2. Great cinematography
3. Music/ost this is one what I like from this production, their OST/music are always good/beautiful.

Cons:
1. Bad acting from actors, moreso the lead casts (very painful to watch) but no choice needed to watch since they are the leads lol

Not for me

Oxin’s BL series are honestly starting to feel like a joke. It’s like each new show gets worse than the last. The acting in this one is especially cringey during the argument scenes—so unnatural. Not everyone is bad though; a few of the supporting characters actually did a decent job.

What really threw me off were the green jokes. I was getting goosebumps—and not in a good way. If you’re familiar with Oxin Films, you’ll know they always sneak in these kinds of lines every episode. And yeah, they’re still cringey. If you understand Tagalog, you’d totally get what I mean.

But this time it’s even more vulgar. Like, lines that actually say "horny," "experiencing boner," "it seems like you’re cumming," or a guy doing a sex video call. Seriously? This is on YouTube where minors can easily access it. That’s just not okay.

I’m disappointed because Oxin usually nails the production value. Hermoso had real potential—honestly, I’ve never seen a BL with this kind of concept before. A love story between a fisherman and a boss? And the setting? A boat and a sardines factory! That’s actually refreshing and unique. But they should’ve toned down the green jokes and avoided the vulgar stuff. This series even have threesome scene on it, oh my!!! 😂 The other main lead already have a wife and still get involved with a guy.

Btw, the guys here are hot though with all the six-packs abs and a tanned skin—definitely that Filipino beauty vibe. They got that right this time. But, these actors seriously need acting workshops. No wonder it feels like Oxin Films always rushes their productions.

So overall, I liked the following things:

-Good production value
-Excellent cinematography and OST
-Hot guys

Dislike:
-Cringe acting
-Uses green jokes and vulgar words every episode
-Main lead has wife but have an affair with his boss

What I Liked
- the step mom
- fishing setting
- visuals
- the director is in the series

Room For Improvement
- it made no sense to give a romantic main lead a nice, visibly pregnant girlfriend, why didn't they just have him be single?, the audience learned something very important way too late (end of episode 7)
- the innuendo/crassness was too much
- started with a flash forward
- having sex while sleeping seemed pretty nonsense to me
- some of the music didn't fit like goofy music during a serious scene
- felt like they used the first take for every scene
- a character did something completely nonsense and out of character
- there was no emotional punch due to the ai generated content in the finale and what characters had done before
- the ending (see my spoiler comment), I generally dislike this type of ending because I want the writer/s to commit and it feels like having it both ways

Un porno sans le plus intéressant

1er épisode, je me dis qu'ils amènent beaucoup d'intrigues pour une série en 5 épisodes. Puis on apprend qu'ils vont mettre une suite de 5 épisodes supplémentaires, ce qui me rassure. Fin de l'épisode, je suis pris par ce qu'ils proposent, scènes très hot comprisent.

Episode 2 & 3 : J'ai peur, le scénario est oublié au profit des scènes hot. C'est sympa mais bon, ok on a compris, je veux bien la suite. Sinon autant regarder un porno, le scénario est du même niveau mais au moins on voit tout.

Episode 4 & 5 : Le scénario réapparait, les choses avancent et je suis de nouveau plongé dedans. J'attends de voir la suite.

Episode 6 à 10 : HELP!!! Tout va bien jusqu'au 9ème épisode qui part dans tout les sens. On commence déjà à avoir des longueurs et des répétitions dans les 2 épisodes précédents, répétition de situation, d'intrigue et même de dialogues,

La fin est chaotique, ça n'a plus de sens, on fait avancer le scénario à grand coup de pied car on ne sait plus comment s'en sortir.
J'ai trouvé ça hyper pénible et j'ai regardé le dernier en X10. Et pour m'achever, ce "The End" qui vient te dire c'est fini mais pas vraiment car si pas de suite tu n'aura pas la fin. (en même temps je ne pense pas que j'irai la voir s'il y en a une)

Dommage car c'était prometteur, les acteurs sont mignons et ont un très bon jeu d'acteur.
Et puis il faut reconnaître que les Philippins essaient des choses différentes, on ne tombe pas dans le classique. Dommage que la réalisation et le scénario ne les mettent pas plus en valeur.
