Sweet!
What sweet short drama, about love at first sight and not knowing how to approach hat person. The acting is good and the leads have cute chemistry.
The visuals good, so is the music.
It was nice to see a supporting friend instead of a jealous character that's trying to get in the middle.

Don't watch this
I went into this with the expectations that it would be a short, maybe a little bit of bad camerawork but still just fluffy. Pretty low expectations, yet I was very disappointed. This was the longest 28 minutes of my life. You know nothing about the characters, the change in emotions is super unrealistic and out of nowhere and it kinda makes no sense, the story makes sense. It maybe could have been something if it was a bit longer, but this just wasn't it. Even in the small romance bits, the romance is creepy. I would not recommend watching this, and I regret it.Was this review helpful to you?
Both looks better and is acted better than a huge chunk of other similar short-form BL's
I mean, yes, this is not exactly deep (although it was nice how the breaking of trust was actually treated seriously and properly by both the narrative and the characters), and you do need to use your own imagination/context to fill in some of the assumed backstory. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looks despite being a budget production, and it is quite decently acted, too. (I also very much appreciated that the third character was just a very supportive friend, and there was NOT any sort of annoying rival or triangle nonsense anywhere in here. AND it's NOT a vertical series, for once! 👏)So, in all, this is easily one of the better short-form BL's I've seen, and worth the watch (to me, at least 😊). 👍

No
Honestly, while watching Connect, I felt like there was something important that I was missing, but it just wasn't there. The story feels rushed, and the characters' opinions change quickly. Why was Ian upset at Juhyuk? Did he do something in the past? Is that why he was shocked to find out that Juhyuk was Alt? I felt like there should have been a story behind the reason, but I honestly didn't know what it was, and I was confused the entire time.
Jisu was also upset with Juhyuk for 'deceiving' Ian (honestly didn't see it as deception), but when they were talking at first, he was like: "You hurt my friend", and then suddenly: "Ian knows you're sincere". I mean... huh? How did Ian show any indication that he thought Juhyuk was sincere? Because to me, he just looked upset. Wrongfully so.
The actors were rushing things, and the show had so many holes.
If I had to recommend KBLs to someone, Connect would not even show up on the list.

Missing Context
This story left me overall confused. You don't get insight to the past relationship of the couple, but it gets constantly mentioned. That makes it difficult to understand why they behave the way they do. It feels overly sensitive and the dialouge is being repeated quite a few times.
I hope the actors will get a better chance to show off their talent, they seem promising and were the best thing about this BL.
Personally I woudn't recommend it to my friends, but if you wanna support the actors, check it and them out.

Was this review helpful to you?
