More lakorn than BL
If you're looking the FortPeat dynamic, it's not here. Fort plays his usual devoted heroic savior with his devastating smile. Peat is less hystrionic than usual but still hasn't overcome his tendency to act cute instead being cute. That being said it was kind of nice to see them in a straight drama. It would've been nice if they stepped out of their usual roles, and I was kind of hoping that would happen, but they reverted in the end.This series reminded me much more of a lakorn than your usual BL/GL drama. It's a complicated story of feuding families, plots upon plots, backstabbing, betrayal and obsession.
The only thing BL/GL about it is the main relationship is M/M and the secondary couple is F/F. There are 1 or 2 token sensual scenes, but that was fine with me because I don't need overt sex to enjoy a drama. To quote another series, a little bit of kissing is fine.
The production value was good. The action sequences were well done. The background music was not as annoyingly inappropriate as usual.
Everything is mostly wrapped up in episode 10. The special episode is marshmallow fluff.

The narrative core focuses on a complex web of corporate espionage, revenge, and deep psychological trauma. The strongest aspect of the script is the exploration of mental health, specifically Kelvin’s struggle with bipolar disorder and self-harm. The transition from an obsessive antagonist to a vulnerable character seeking medical help is beautifully handled. However, the story falters when it comes to realism. The final episodes rely too heavily on action-movie tropes (kidnappings, elaborate traps, and sudden plot twists) that contrast sharply with the grounded psychological tension built in the beginning. Furthermore, the legal and corporate resolutions feel rushed, and certain antagonists lose their initial menace, turning into caricatures towards the end.
Acting & Chemistry (Cast: 9.5/10)
The main cast is the absolute saving grace of this series. Peat Wasuthorn (Kelvin) delivers a masterclass in acting, navigating an incredibly demanding emotional spectrum with his subtle facial expressions and raw vulnerability. The portrayal of a manic-depressive state is handled with respect and depth. Fort Thitipong (Vier) complements him perfectly as the rational, grounded anchor of the relationship. Their chemistry is magnetic, mature, and intense, successfully carrying the weight of a „toxic-to-healing” relationship. The secondary cast performs well, although their characters are sometimes limited by a flawed script. A special mention goes to the production's animal companion, who surprisingly provides some of the most wholesome moments in the special episode.
Production Design & Music (Music: 8.5/10)
Visually, Yesterday is stunning. The gothic-elegant aesthetic, the sharp corporate suits, and the symbolic use of jewellery (the intricate filigree rings) enhance the dark atmosphere of the show. The stylistic time-skip in the Special Episode is also visually striking and serves well as a metaphor for a fresh start. The soundtrack is melancholic and perfectly timed, escalating the tension during the thriller segments and softening the mood during the emotional reconciliation.
Conclusion & Recommendation
If you are looking for a light, fluffy romance, Yesterday is not it. But if you appreciate a heavy, character-driven story about trauma, unconditional love, and forgiveness, this series is highly recommended. Despite its narrative flaws and unrealistic action sequences, the profound character growth and unmatched lead chemistry make it one of MeMindY's most mature projects to date.

The Tragedy of Kelvin's "Love"
Kelvin is the perfect example of how untreated trauma turns a person into a monster. He claims to have a deep bond with Vier, but his attachment is actually a dangerous obsession. The irony is clear: Kelvin is the one who desperately needs a psychiatrist, yet he’s the one holding the person he loves captive.He’s so terrified of being abandoned again that he’s turned his love into a cage. If Vier ever truly walks out that door and never looks back, Kelvin won't just lose his mind—he'll be forced to face the hollow, broken person he’s become. It’s a chilling look at what happens when possessiveness replaces genuine.
Character Warning: Extreme "Black Flag" behavior. Kelvin is 100% the one who needs the therapy couch.
⭐ Rating: 9/10 for the psychological tension (and 0/10 for Kelvin's "boyfriend" skills)

Yesterday had an interesting premise on paper
Yesterday had an interesting premise on paper — revenge, power struggles, and corporate battles — but the execution felt all over the place.The storyline comes across as scattered and hard to follow. It tries to build tension and present itself as thrilling and action-packed, but it never really delivers on that promise. Instead, it ends up feeling like a drawn-out corporate conflict without enough depth or payoff.
At times, it’s honestly confusing what direction the story is trying to take. The revenge angle is there, but it’s not developed in a way that feels cohesive or impactful.
Overall, it had the potential to be intense and gripping, but it falls short in execution. I’d honestly rather rewatch The Wicked Game than revisit this.

FortPeat Said “No Fluff, Just Trauma” and We ATE UP
FortPeat chemistry?? yeah no, that’s not a joke, that’s a full-blown phenomenon. The way they came in and said “new era, new vibe” after their previous series… I’m obsessed. Completely different flavor, and they delivered.And to the timeline complainers;please 😭 WeTV literally dropped a whole explanation reel. The information is there, y’all just don’t want to read.
What I love about this series is that it’s DARK. Messy. Complicated. Emotionally draining in the best way. This is NOT your soft, fluffy BL—this is “sit down and process your feelings after every episode” territory. Not for the weak.
Kelvin??? Oh Peat ATE. That man said “give me psychological complexity and moral ambiguity” and ran with it. Twisted, layered, lowkey unhinged… and somehow still heartbreaking to watch him struggle through it all. Like damn, let him breathe???
Also… he chained his top to the bed?? Sir??? New trope unlocked I guess 😭 and somehow it WORKS??
And knowing Fort and Peat IRL makes it even crazier because this is SUCH a departure from their real personalities. The commitment?? The RANGE?? Fort really out here acting like being chained up to peats bed isn’t the best thing thats ever happened to him, academy award when? xD
This show is basically a chaotic rollercoaster of a relationship: messy, intense, full of turns you don’t see coming. But then they hit you with that special episode?? Soft, domestic, in-love VeirKelvin?? I almost forgot the trauma for a second.
End of the day: FortPeat don’t miss. Ever. The magic is real, and they prove it every single time.

I think this series 'Yesterday' is made for fans of intense angst, drama, craziness, and especially dark romance! The bottom is absolutely fire, while the top is 'little dear'. Both leads delivered amazing performances.I’ve seen many people say the timeline is confusing, but it gets better as the episodes progress. Yes, it feels a little rushed in places, but that doesn’t ruin the series at all.
Trust me, you should give it a try. I really loved it!

Confused
Just finished episode 4 of Yesterday the Series, and honestly I have very mixed feelings so far. I’m not sure what will happen in the next episodes, but the first four episodes have been quite confusing for me.The biggest issue I’m having is with the timeline and sequence shifting. In the first three episodes especially, the transitions between time and scenes felt very unclear. Sometimes it felt like the story was jumping between moments without properly explaining what was happening. Because of that, it was hard for me to stay fully connected with the plot.
Kelvin’s character is also quite mysterious, but in a way that feels inconsistent. At some moments he seems like a nerdy person who is scared of everything, almost fragile and unsure of himself. But then suddenly he gives off this strong alpha energy, which makes it hard to understand his real personality. It feels like the character is switching between two completely different sides without enough explanation.
Veir’s character also gave me a similar feeling. In the beginning episodes, I thought he would be someone mentally strong and confident, someone who has control over situations. But as the story continues, he sometimes comes across as very emotional and almost like a puppy who cries easily. Because of these shifts, the emotional tone of the scenes feels a bit mixed and confusing.
All these changes in tone and character behavior make the series a little difficult for me to follow. Sometimes I feel like I can’t fully keep up with the story or the emotions the show is trying to deliver.
That being said, I’m still continuing the series mainly because I like Fort and Peter. Their presence and performances are the reason I’m still giving the drama a chance, and I’m hoping the next episodes will make the story clearer.

Does it pick up at all?
I finally got around to starting this one and I feel like I've been watching it for days, but come to find out I'm only on episode 4. I got really confused so many times in the first few episodes with the time line jumping back and forth the way it did. I really love FortPete, but this one is hard for me to watch. Not that their acting isn't good, because it's truly everything I've come to expect from them. I really think it's just the screenwriting that keeps the pace so slow I feel like I need a nap to get through each episode. I want to love this, and I'm really trying to. I'll keep watching it, but I'll probably take a little break first and watch something else.Was this review helpful to you?
But honestly, the one who completely stole every scene was Peat. He was flawless as Kelvin. The way he shifted his expressions, sometimes tender, sometimes wild, sometimes vulnerable, was mesmerizing. I couldn’t take my eyes off his performance.
I also loved Fort as Veir. It was a more serious role for him, and he nailed it. I’ll admit though, I did miss that mischievous, gorgeous smile of his! Still, it was great that they got a storyline different from their past projects, giving them the chance to show new sides of themselves.
To be real, I was hoping for a more challenging role where they could really show the full range of their talento and they finally pulled it off! It felt so rewarding to see them get the chance to shine in roles that really matched their talent. It was the kind of payoff that makes you glad you stuck with the series. I truly hope they keep getting opportunities like this. Can’t wait to see what comes next!

it's was great it was from the storyline to the nc scenes .this BL's is one of the top bls of 2026 so far. it wasn't puppy love that gets shown a lot in bls. it was on the mature side like all the BL's should be. only thing is some of the scene are cut which really annoys me when it comes to bls enough of the cut scenes. censorship is so annoying. scene should be shown fully not cut. get it together. other than that it was a great series. the actors was great in this series. As for the script and the series itself, there are many ambiguities, the director thinks that we are in his shoes and that we know what is happening, it is so confusing and he runs from stage to stage in a period of a month, 6 months and even a year, so it is very confusing to watch. We don't know what the director had in mind, we are not in his head.
