Rebound Regent
The third version of the "Regent's kiss" (or whatever it's called) plot with Li Ruo Xun. I can see why this plot is being remade, it's a strong premise : FL has been forever in love with her adoptive elder brother who saved her life, becoming the perfect bride shaped by his taste and coveted by many men in the city, waiting for him to finally claim her, only to see him get concubine after concubine. After the nineth (!!) enters his household she's over it and resigns herself to an arranged marriage with the prince regent, who is crazy about her. This drama was HOT, probably one of the hottest period shorts I've seen, the regent's love is all consuming and she's more than ready to be over with being a parangon of virtue put on a pedestal and never touched by her coward of a savior. The writing is a cut above the usual fare, quite detailed and cohesive. A very generous short that is good on every front.Was this review helpful to you?
Loved it!
For a C vertical Drama, this one is really good, I loved it! The ML is shameless but also very funny and kind to FL, and ML and FL have great chemistry. There were many good kissing scenes, I would recommend it. Of course its not as good as a big budget regular Cdrama, but for a short drama I thought it was a worthwhile watch.Was this review helpful to you?

Blind Box Drama
I watched with blind review and never see Liu Qiunai works so this is my first review. Li Ruoxun is quite fine to see his acting. Kissing scenes are also beautifully filmed even with average skill, with the atmosphere perfectly captured.This is a story of unrequited love. FL is assertive, and her marriage to the ML becomes a de facto union on the day of their wedding. The costumes, props, and overall atmosphere of this drama are exceptionally beautiful, and the emotional development is delicate and sincere, making it a rare work enhanced by artistic beauty.
Supporting characters are very well-developed and three-dimensional, making them feel real and relatable, avoiding being mere props or stereotypes.
From initial fear to gradually becoming the most familiar stranger, then opening her heart to each other for warmth, and finally becoming inseparable from him, all these changes are conveyed through the FL's dialogue, small gestures, and subtle expressions. Because of this process of change, the interactions between the ML and FL feel extra sweet.
I am annoyed with cinematographic technique when they did flashback scene looks so rough and misplaced filter.
Recommended to watch.
