Romcom of the year for me!!
I can't remember the last time I was waiting for a romcom to air it's next episode. I usually read the spoilers or source material. But I am loving the pacing of the story and the build up and surprisingly I willing to wait for the story to unravel. I am loving the looks, both the actors. Love how they have toned down the ML to make the FL seem more masculine, the costumes. The casting team has done a brilliant jobs, love both the actors. Yim Siwan is so sassy and over the top and Soel In Ah is so handsome and heroic, I am loving the portrayal of the Characters, don't miss out on this one!!Was this review helpful to you?
All the girls are going loca for Seor In A
somebody said if we cast seorina in a cross dress thriller romcom all the girls will go locawhat can i say... the casting directors did their BIG ONE with this. Seor In A is absolutely the best fit because her face is so androgynous.. and guess what the best part is? her co-star yim si wan ALSO has an androgynous face and they certainly do look alike too. The public yearns for handsome women and beautiful men.
So to talk about the overall vibe of this drama, i love the duality, this drama somehow manages to be funny and scary and mysterious and exciting at the same time so props to everyone. the best part is that their funny scenes are ACTUALLY funny. i cant tell u the amount of times i replayed that ending scene in episode 2 for a good laugh!!!! and the bg song they chose perfectly fits the situation.
as for their acting, ive read the manhwa and the actors are absolutely amazing. they are playing their role flawlessly and bringing out the character into life. speaking about the manhwa, this drama PERFECTLY captures the manhwas vibe!!!! if you read the manhwa i can guarantee that you will enjoy this!!!!
also i feel like we havent had a proper cross dressing drama in so long (the last one i enjoyed was coffee prince) so this makes me really happy and overall its a good, entertaining watch!

Mix of feelings! So funny, thrilling, and romantic.
Yim Si-wan's character is portrayed very well. I can see what character he plays in this drama. The little details in his acting is superb and very consistent. The same goes with Ina. She's pretty handsome. Her expressions are so funny. They have a good chemistry. They complement each other. For the story, since it's still at ep 4, it gives a thrilling vibe. I became a detective. Can't wait for the next episodes.
The cinematography is good. The "king" atmosphere is there haha. Idk how'd you call it.
The only downside is that they only release 2 eps per week. :(

I’m rolling on the floor!
It’s a unique romantic comedy combined with a murder mystery yet despite the obvious danger layered throughout the storyline this show is absolutely hilarious! And the recent cliffhangers at the end of each episode have left me rolling on the floor laughing!! The actors have done an amazing job with their quirky character portrayals! I can’t wait till next week’s episode posting but I really don’t want to wait….this will easily be a show you can binge watch once it’s finished posting on Amazon! Was this review helpful to you?
ELECTRIFYING CHEMISTRY FROM SIWAN AND INAH
It’s been a while since i last hooked on a romcom and the thrill of waiting to watch every monday and tuesday which i never expected to happened im usually not a very patient person. But this show truly drag me back into this world which i became obsessed (am a guy btw). Honestly speaking theres no one in korea industry that can play yoon yi jun and kang jae hee better than yim siwan and seol inah. Halfway to the finish line and i really do hope this show sticks the landing perfectly!! :))Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointing Execution Waste of a Good Premise - DROPPED!
I really wanted to like this show because the original idea sounded great, but it ended up being a total letdown. Right from episode one, the whole thing felt lazy, cheap, and messy. The story jumps around with zero flow, and the police investigation mystery is completely boring with no suspense at all. You can tell they had a tiny budget, especially with the ugly, fake-looking AI scenes and the total lack of any good OST.The acting and comedy made it even worse. Every joke falls flat and feels super cringe. The female secretary (not the female lead) stands there completely frozen with no expression on her face, while the male secretary overacts so hard it's annoying and awkward to watch. A couple of tiny laughs here and there couldn't save how disconnected and painful this was to sit through. Save your time and skip it.

A wonderfull and funny surprise in autumn
To illustrate better how much I adore Love in Discuse I'll say I felt the need to find my login and password for MDL to spread the word aboutthis hilarious kdrama. The pacing has been wonderful so far, and I absolutely love how the story is gradually building up the relationship between the leads. Nothing feels unnecessarily rushed, and every new interaction makes me even more invested in their dynamic. They make a big progress in their relationship without losing that chaotic energy tha I've been enjoying so much since episode one.In my humble opinion, whoever decided to pair Siwan and Seol In Ah deserves a raise! Their chemistry is fantastic, and I adore how the drama plays with traditional gender roles and expectations. Siwan is delightfully sassy, dramatic, and unapologetically over the top, while Seol In Ah is effortlessly handsome, confident, and heroic. I love how they've softened the male lead's appearance and mannerisms while allowing the female lead to embrace a more masculine, commanding presence. It's such a refreshing dynamic, and both actors seem to be having the time of their lives portraying these characters!
What I love most, though, is that this drama doesn't need constant dramatic twists to keep me interested. The characters, their interactions, the humor, and the anticipation of what's coming next are more than enough. It's been a while since a rom-com made me genuinely excited about the journey rather than just the destination, and I'm enjoying every minute of it. If you're looking for a fun, charming rom-com with fantastic leads, refreshing character dynamics, and chemistry that keeps you coming back for more, please don't miss this one!
I just love this freakin' show. I've never thought I'd look forward to to Mondays. Yet, here I am. I honestly couldn't imagine a better show for this fall. I cannot wait to find out how this story unfolds, even though I'm really struggling with the waith for the next episodes. I'm planning to read the webtoon after the story wraps up because I aready feel it in my bones, that I'm gonna miss them so much. <3

It was a good idea, but...
The premise was good: an undercover female cop infiltrating as a bodyguard for a spoiled heir. However, the character development was terrible. The female lead is reduced to a purely reactive figure, while the male lead is written with an intrusive and manipulative personality.
The background police plot lacks any real substance or suspense.
The disguise trope is completely unconvincing. It is an outright insult to the viewer's intelligence.
Slapstick comedy scenes just pile up without adding anything to the narrative.
I can't buy the high ratings I'm seeing here. It smells like astroturf marketing.

A Pretty Man and a Handsome Woman… I’m Already Sold ??
A Pretty Man and a Handsome Woman… I’m Already Sold 🌈🌈ONE EPISODE IN AND I'M ALREADY INVESTED. 😭
First of all, what is this drama??? A girl disguising herself as a man, everyone believing it, and then we have Im Si-wan playing the most UNHINGED, zesty, dramatic, pretty little man ever. SIR, PLEASE PICK A STRUGGLE. 😭💀
Yoon Yi-jun is such a weird character in the BEST way possible. The attitude, the expressions, the drama, the whole vibe?? . And why is he so pretty??? I'm sorry, but someone needs to study him because WHAT IS GOING ON HERE. 😭
And then we have Kang Jae-hee, our badass female lead, casually disguising herself as a man and fighting like she has 47 unfinished side quests. The action scenes are actually good, and I love that she's not just standing there waiting to be saved. GIRL CAN FIGHT. LET HER COOK. 🔥
The funniest part is the potential for absolute chaos. One man who is questionable in every possible way, one woman pretending to be a man, and a whole lot of confusion waiting to happen. The writers better take this opportunity and RUN WITH IT because the comedy potential is INSANE.
Honestly, I really enjoyed the first episode. The characters are interesting, the setup is fun, and Im Si-wan is already giving me reasons to lose my mind. 😭 The story has so much potential to become a genuinely funny, chaotic and entertaining rom-com if the writing keeps delivering.
My only demand is MORE CHAOS, MORE UNHINGED YI-JUN, MORE JAE-HEE FIGHTING EVERYONE, AND MORE OF WHATEVER IS GOING ON WITH THIS MAN'S AURA.
I'm seated. I'm invested. I'm waiting for the next episode
P.S. Im Si-wan, what exactly was your plan with this character because it's WORKING. 😭🤌

Heterosexism in disguise
"Love in Disguise" represents everything wrong with heterosexist storytelling. The production exploits the outward appearance of male-male intimacy without ever permitting that intimacy to materialize into an actual male-male/gay relationship. A woman's masculine disguise becomes the convenient narrative contrivance through which "straightness" is maintainedThis is neither progressive nor subversive; rather, it exposes the homophobic attitudes that continue to permeate society. Society appears far more comfortable with unconventional gender performances than with the normalization of same-sex intimacy. In other words, gender nonconformity is permissible only within the confines of "straight" orthodoxy
I'd much prefer gay storytelling to this pitiful attempt at gender subversion
