The Lie We Lived In

거짓말이 사는 집 ‧ Drama ‧ 2026
Both stories revolve around being criminal and cop .
Chemistry seems really solid between the leads from the very first episode

Both are boys love dramas with an assassin ML whose love interest is working for the police. ML is both entangled in a crime but also in a romantic relationship with his rival whom he has to hide his real identity from.
Focus on action, crime, deception.

This is an underrated Chinese bl gem, please give it a try. The story is fast paced with Slow burn romance ?

The summary reminded me of this drama exactly where the MC gets kidnapped and is being held captive by the ML and eventually secrets open up and they fall in love

Both involved in messy crimes and situations and managed to get a fresh start (yes) at the end. One of the characters from both series are orphans too.

We have the same director as 'love in the big city'
Also this should again be a BL though not the same type of atmosphere
But still KBL + this director .... probably something serious.

Both shows are very different in plot and genre, The Lie we lived in is a more of a crime thriller, the time of fever is a highschool drama, yet both are short korean boys love shows with a similar kind of romantic tension. The characters are attracted to eachother but are repressing these feelings, catching longing glances while holding in their desire until at one point they just cant anymore and everything releases in one moment.
both pairs have a similar visual aesthetic too, with one being more muscular and a little taller while the other one has lighter hair (and is a year older).
family related trauma, dead father too

short boys love dramas released in the summer of 2026
darker vibes, serious story telling
dark past, trauma, involving death/murder of a parent. This has inspired the main characters to enter a specific line of work that involves investigating crime cases/committing crimes.
violence, crime, thriller
intimidating male lead

Both are romantic thrillers centered on uncovering the truth behind a case.
It features strong chemistry, intense tension, and plenty of unexpected plot twists that keep the story engaging from beginning to end. As the characters work together to solve the mystery, their relationship gradually develops, making the romance feel just as exciting as the investigation.

Both are korean boys love dramas with a darker vibe, theme and contents. Lots of secrets, intrigues, drama, perhaps toxicity, morally grey characters.

Both are gay korean minidramas about hitmen main characters that become romantically entangled with somebody that they have tl hide their real identity from. The love interest, though, is hiding a past too and knows how to deal with weapons, criminals etc too. Hes the mcs rival.
Secrets, intrigues, action, skilled killers, hidden identity, deception but true love ?
