A healthy relationship does wonders for the soul.

The story line and actress made me press play, but the ML stole the show.

The Highlights:

No hesitation from the FL. I believe within the first ten minutes she was out the door.

What a man the ML is. He was literally her light in the darkness. Patient, kind, loving and supportive.

Romance was on point. His love was shown in both words and actions. One word to describe the kiss scenes is sensual.

Communication between FL & ML were always on point (very little to no misunderstanding trope nonsense).

As their relationship grew, so did her confidence.

The Dim-lights:

FL’s self-esteem was trampled on and she was all alone basically except for the SML (that's why she put up with his horrible treatment) but, I will give her grace.

SML – the stench of scumbaggery coming off this venomous toad of a man was sickening. He and his minions were vile. I really wished the ML gave him a few more punches.

SFL – Audacity and delusion is a wicked combination. More slaps from FL were needed for her.

Favorite scene/scenes:

When ML told FL he wants to “meet” her family.

The elevator scene (I chuckle every time I remember it).

Conclusion: Proof that the wrong relationship can derail your life while the right one can propel you forward.

HEALTHY COUPLE ALERT!!!!

I really enjoyed watching this vertical drama. I'm rather picky with what I watch and I tend to drop most dramas after 10-20 mins if I dislike something. I watched this till the very end.

It's heartwarming and empowering

What I liked:
+++ ACTUALLY HEALTHY CP!!!!! ML respects the FL, he uplifts her and treated her like an equal and she treats him like a normal human being too

+++ Character development!!!! It's not anything crazy deep, but in my opinion it fit the story well. I don't want to spoil anything but I think I can safely say that the FL grows throughout the story.

+++ Some character depth beyond the usual clichés: We have our usual 4 characters: ML, FL, stupid cheating pathetic manipulative SML (FL ex husband) and green tea bitch SFL. But hear me out! In my opinion, they actually have PERSONALITIES. I'm able to list out some character traits of our FL, she even has hobbies and skills. The ML maybe a bit less, but he's a good guy overall. Now, SML. Compete scum, but! Actual human scum, not a cartoonish flat scum. His attitude to the people around him is consistent throughout the story, his behaviours are also consistent and you can see that there's some depth and complexity to what he feels about the FL. Now, SFL. Come at me, but I actually liked her. She's a complete green tea bitch, but she also very clearly has a brain of her own and a goal in what she's doing. She's not just blindly sticking to the SML for no reason other than "the plot needs it". Even though I only got confirmation of it at the very end of the drama.

+++ FL and ML are equals, there's no poor weak good-for-nothing, damsel-in-distress FL. And she's not at ML's mercy.

+++ No rape, misunderstandings, fuck-or-die concoctions, unexplained bullying, forced marriages

++ Coherent plot

+ Quite nice music (although i might be biased, because it's unusual for me to watch dramas on sites that actually keep the original soundtrack)

+ Good/decent cinematography. I'm not a professional, but I honestly forgot I'm watching a vertical drama on some random website instead of on Netflix

Some small dislikes (don't let this repel you):
- there was a lie (only one which is an achievement imo, considering the usual amount in these dramas) that didn't get resolved and it left me feeling a bit uncomfortable, because I wouldn't like that to happen irl. But the FL was clearly okay with keeping that lie unresolved and the intention of said lie was not harmful to anyone, so I let it slide.

Trigger Warnings:
Car accident and death + some trauma

If somebody is sensitive about these things:
there are depictions of a gaslighting, manipulative and controlling relationship, but they're shown for what they are, not glorified in any way and resolved

There is one situation when sb is trying to force the FL into a kiss but doesn't succeed

Breaking Free and Learning to Love Again

I really loved the male lead's mentality in this drama. Despite loving the female lead deeply and wanting to be by her side all the time, he never tries to make her dependent on him. Instead, he encourages her to be strong, independent, and capable of standing on her own. Even though he wants to keep her close, he also wants her to have the freedom and confidence to choose her own path. That kind of love was refreshing to watch.

The leads looked amazing together and had great chemistry. The male lead perfectly captured the role of a man who is completely devoted to the woman he loves. He was warm, respectful, caring, and absolutely head over heels for her. Every gesture, every look, and every moment of support felt genuine.

The story itself has quite a lot going on. The female lead starts off as a strong woman who has been worn down by life and trapped in a toxic marriage. Instead of supporting her, her husband slowly isolated her, controlled her, and made her feel worthless while benefiting from her wealth and status. Watching that relationship fall apart was frustrating but also necessary.

What I appreciated most was that once she decided to leave, she didn't spend forever dwelling on the past. She chose herself, walked away from the toxicity, and started rebuilding her life. The male lead became a source of support, but he never overshadowed her growth. He helped her find her confidence again rather than trying to save her.

The romance develops quickly, but the chemistry between the leads makes it work. More than anything, this drama feels like a story about healing, self-worth, and finding someone who loves you without trying to control you. And honestly, watching the female lead leave a toxic marriage and find happiness again was incredibly satisfying.

Quando eu assisti a adaptação "I Embrace You With The Sun" (我携骄阳拥抱于你) com o Huai Wen e a Liang Wen Jing no lançamento em Abril de 2026, eu anotei na resenha que tinha certeza de um outro drama e hoje, lendo no feed a resenha do usuário SanaRehmat, reconheci o pôster e dei play para confirmar...
