I've been Williamest's fan since ever I saw them in Me and thee, as long as I saw them doing so well, maintaining their characters, I searched out for their other dramas together, and then saw Thampo, and I loved itt, and then I saw the teaser of You Maniac, I got to excited to watch it as soon as possible.And I didn't expect it to get out, like this, out of nowhere. I totally thought I'll take some time.
The 3 episodes released till now, are so good, the chemistry between the protagonists is so up the hipe. I really loved it..
Along with the chemistry, the story also lives up the hipe.
The bar setting is pretty engaging, I like the Cinematography and the second couple I'm really cheering for them.
It's barcode's time to shine, after Kinnporche, after such a devastating separation of jeff and him, he finally chose to follow his dance career and glow up back as an incredible actor. He's role is adorable, as a doc chaser.. Acts like a lover boy
Really worth the watch.

It’s not just a romance between two 'red flag' guys
To be honest, I initially thought it was just going to be a typical romance about two toxic guys, but reading the novel completely changed my mind, this series is incredibly fascinating. It’s a story about two men from completely different worlds who gradually make their way into each other’s livesRight from the first episode, the setting, acting, and cinematography completely blew me away; it actually exceeded my expectations. On top of that, the entire cast delivers great performances, and the chemistry of Williamest goes without saying it’s absolutely phenomenal. I’ve watched all their previous works together, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how You Maniac unfolds

I love me some WILLIAMEST ok and the first episode was more them than DEANMOTH 🤣 or maybe it’s ROMEMOK idk but I love them. everything was perfect visuals acting music and even the cast I was surprised to see so many faces lol but I’m so happy and excited for this I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.Was this review helpful to you?
Crazy Meets Crazier… WilliamEst! The Tension!!!
I have been so excited for this series and it’s finally here. WilliamEst are so perfect together and they have amazing chemistry which is shown so well in this series already 1 ep in. I honestly wanted to watch this b/c of WilliamEst, but KinBarcode took me by surprise and now I can’t wait to see their story too.===================================================
So far, the story follows a playboy influencer, Dean (William), who has a colorful sex and social life (to say the least) and a cold-hearted illustrator, Moth (Est) who rejects any romance that enters his life. Dean’s best friend Ten, likes a vet, Pun, who has had a long time one-sided crush on his best friend Moth, but won’t pursue Moth b/c he fears Moth will cut him off. Ten wants to pursue Pun, so he asks Dean to pursue Moth to get Pun to move on, in order to give him a chance with Pun.
This is already such an interesting storyline, especially for GMMTV and I am so glad that GMMTV is finally moving on and creating more red flag / more mature and serious series, not just the cutesy ones we are used to seeing. WilliamEst are doing a phenomenal performance and KinBarcode, I am so excited to see more of them.

1I Love William and Est, but Chemistry Alone Is Not Enough
I know fan shipping is not really a big thing in Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Chinese BL, but it has a massive audience in Thai BL. Personally, I do not mind fan shipping as long as it works. What I do not agree with is giving a series a high rating just because our favourite couple is back together.For example, Gemini and Fourth were great in My School President, Moonlight Chicken and Ticket to Heaven. All three had completely different stories and I loved seeing them together in those roles. But for me, My Love Mix Up was a completely different experience because I thought the plot was extremely weak.
My point is simple. Just because your favourite couple is in a new series does not automatically make the series good. If the plot is bad, then it is bad. Do not give it a 10 just because you love the pairing.
Now back to You Maniac.
The first three episodes is only around 40 minutes, yet there are already so many 10 star reviews calling it a masterpiece. Yes, William and Est are back. They look absolutely gorgeous together, and the chemistry is definitely there. I love them from ThamePo and gave that series a 10/10, so I was genuinely excited to see them together again.
But honestly, after 3 episodes, I was disappointed.
Where is the plot?
There was literally not much happening in this first three episodes. The setup has potential, with Dean trying to win over the cold and hard to read Moth, but I did not feel like we were given enough story to become invested yet.
Instead, I felt like GMMTV was doing the copy and paste formula again. Take a popular pairing, give them great chemistry, make them look incredible together and let the fan shipping do the rest.
And this is where I have a problem with all the 10 star ratings already.
I am not saying You Maniac is bad. I am saying it is far too early to call it a masterpiece based on one 40 minute episode. You can love William and Est and still be honest about the quality of the story. I love them too, but I am going to judge the series itself, not just the pairing.
Maybe the story will become much better. I hope it does because I really like the cast and I want William and Est to have another great series together. This review is based only on Episode 1-3, so my rating can definitely change once I watch more.
For now, though, the chemistry is there, the cast is great and the leads look amazing, but the plot is too weak for me to give this anything higher.

The epic drama
It's soo good...the plot, chemistry, concept, styling, cinematography, acting, casting everything is damn perfect.....and williamest are sooo hot together ... i want to pray for their togetherness and success they are my comfort couple they makes me smile this drama is so so so good i just love the concept and the bgm is so catchy..the mv red flag is sooo cool..Was this review helpful to you?

You guys I don’t even know what to say…but “you maniac” is PERFECT!! firstly, the soundtrack…coloring, and the PRODUCTION?? It’s absolutely amazing!! they put lots of love into the series and it shows!! and the acting is surreal! william and est They’ve developed so so much! you can literally SEE and feel the emotions through the screen! their micro expressions TOP TEIR, and do NOT get me started on the boat scene. 👀 it made me genuinely want to sob..that’s how good it is! there’s so much I want to say, but unfortunately we’d be here forever. First impression
Ever since I've watched ThamePo, I've been waiting for William and Est to get another series together, and it finally happened. And moreover, it did not disappoint.The acting, visuals, and everything else are off the charts so far. I am so excited and can't wait for more episodes.

Things I liked:
1. Moth. I like these characters, seeing Est be so sassy and William, who seems to be a really sweet guy irl, playing a person who sleeps around is just really fun.
2. I'm so happy to see GMMTV move more and more away from making mediocre school/uni BLs. Listen, I love them as much as the next person, it's just that GMMTV makes so many of them that they are all just the same thing just in different wrappers. So it's nice to see more serious and exciting series like Burnout Syndrome and You Maniac being made.
3. KinBarcode. Even though I mostly started watching this series for WilliamEst, I'm still glad to see Barcode, especially now that he is in a new pairing with Kin. I haven't previously seen Kin in anything, but so far so good.

I love WilliamEst, but this drama is so overrated. There are so many fake 10/10 reviews from what looks like the same person creating multiple accounts.An 8.7 rating after only two episodes with such a weak plot is crazy to me. I love the pairing, but the story just isn’t delivering so far.

Thoughts so far
1. Great to see a female director in charge. And she is an acting teacher too. No wonder William and Est's performances are so natural.2. I graduated uni in July, and I have to say that You Maniac feels like a true contemporary romance! I met many outrageous people on campus, and Dean and Moth are definitely two very recognisable Gen-Z archetypes in 2026.
Dean is that performative guy who posts everything he does on Instagram, slides into all your friends’ DMs, goes clubbing every week, and will lovebomb you one week and ghost you the next, then try to gaslight you into believing you were delusional to think he ever liked you. Moth is a different side of the same modern-day decease: the fear to relinquish a bit of control and admit that you want/ like someone. He is the type of person who will give you signs that he likes you, then withdraw, then give you signs again -- all because he treats relationships like a game he must win and wants you to admit you like him first because confessing his feelings looks like losing to him. Tell me you haven't met at least one of these types!
3. As I wrote in one of my comments, if the show is going where I think it's going, we are in for a wild ride. There is always a possibility that GMMTV will mess things up in later episodes, but I like how the story is developing so far. I don't think that catching feelings quickly is contradictory to red-flag behaviour. When people are toxic separately and incompatible together, catching feelings for each other often brings out the worst in them! Not to mention that "feelings" might be generous: Dean seems to like Moth just because Moth's an exciting challenge, while Moth seems like he is simply in lust with Dean, lol.
Let's see how it goes. I'm having a lot of fun watching it so far. WilliamEst's chemistry is off the charts!

The soundtrack is legit so good. I've been addicted. It's been so long since I've heard a good ost. And this one does the thing. Really catchy, juicy sexy.
