News From the well-crafted storyline and thoughtful scene setups to the intentional camera angles and perfectly placed soundtrack, everything feels purposeful—nothing feels extra or missing. Combined with William and Est’s remarkable acting precision and effortless chemistry, they bring these grounded characters to life so convincingly. For me, it was a film genuinely worth every second of my time.

You maniac : the review
As a Westie, getting You Maniac as our second series after ThamePo truly feels like a blessing. We get to see just how much WilliamEst have grown, not only in their acting, but also in how they approach such challenging characters and a layered storyline.Their acting skills are truly being put to the test, and they’re delivering such incredible performances. We get to see everything, even the tiniest micro-expressions, and it’s honestly amazing.
The storyline, character layers, visuals, OST,, everything is top-tier. You Maniac really lets us see just how far WilliamEst have come.

So good!!!
I have to be honest. I watched this episode because a lot of people were talking about it. And my oh my the story, the acting and the visuals are all outstanding. This is the first series where I’ve actually fallen for all 4 characters from the get go. But my I need to give a special mention to Est Supha, not only is that man drop dead gorgeous but his acting skills are exceptional. The way he portrays his emotions with his facial expressions is just 10/10. Plus the way he plays this cold aloof character but yet still show’s moments of vulnerability when he is with his friend Pun. I honestly can’t wait to discover his background story. Was this review helpful to you?
Series of the year
You Maniac — The Best Series I’ve Ever Watched ❤️🔥I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to move on from You Maniac. This wasn’t just a series I watched—it was an experience that completely took over my mind. From the very first episode, I was hooked, and by the end, I was emotionally attached to everything: the characters, their chemistry, the story, the tension, and every single little moment between them.
What makes You Maniac so special is the way it keeps you wanting more. The storyline is addictive, unpredictable, and perfectly balanced with romance, drama, tension, and those moments that make you scream at your screen. Every episode felt like an emotional rollercoaster, and somehow, I never wanted it to stop.
And the characters??? Absolutely insane. Their chemistry was on another level. The way they looked at each other, the small gestures, the tension, the emotional scenes—I was DONE. 😭❤️🔥 You can literally feel the connection between them through the screen. They had me smiling one second and losing my mind the next.
I also loved how the story made me emotionally invested instead of giving us romance for the sake of romance. Every moment felt meaningful, and the characters actually made me CARE about what happened to them.
Calling You Maniac “good” feels like an understatement. This is the kind of series that leaves you with a massive post-series emptiness because nothing else feels interesting afterward. I finished it and immediately wanted to rewatch it.
Series of the year. No debate. 10/10. ❤️🔥
You Maniac, you officially own a piece of my heart. Now how am I supposed to survive after this? 😭

More Than What People Choose to See
One thing I’ve noticed about YouManiac is that many people are missing the actual point of the story. They see red flags and immediately label the series should be toxic, forgetting that portraying flawed characters is not the same as glorifying their flaws. The story explores complicated emotions, past wounds, unhealthy patterns, personal growth, and what happens when people begin to understand themselves and each other and up to Ep8 YouManiac has shown us that there is so much more to this story than red flags and complicated relationships.Dean’s journey is about more than his attitude or the way he handles relationships. Beneath his behaviour is someone who needs genuine connection and someone who takes him seriously. Watching him gradually realise that he doesn’t have to keep proving himself to people who don’t truly value him makes his character development meaningful. Moth, on the other hand, has his own past to confront and learn to let go of. By Episode 8, seeing him become more comfortable with Dean, take his hand, and move forward with him shows how much their relationship has evolved.
And then there’s Moth. Honestly, how many people in real life would have the patience to deal with someone like him huh? Loving someone isn’t always the difficult part no, sometimes it’s dealing with their attitude, understanding their behaviour and trying to navigate the emotional complications that come with them. Moth is a reminder that being the person who receives affection doesn’t mean you’re automatically the easier person to love. It takes a certain level of patience to deal with someone whose personality and behaviour can challenge the relationship and not everyone would be willing to endure that.
I think one thing people keep misunderstanding about YouManiac is the idea of a red flag. So many people automatically equate red flags with toxicity, as if someone who displays red-flag traits cannot also be sweet, loving, attentive, or genuinely affectionate. But that is exactly what makes this series so interesting.
Red flags don’t always come in the form of someone who treats you badly every second of the day. Sometimes, they are the same people who make you feel loved, return your affection, remember the little things, and give you moments that make you question whether they are really as problematic as people say. They can be charming, caring, and sincere in certain moments, and that doesn’t automatically erase the warning signs.
What makes YouManiac interesting is that it challenges the way we categorise people. The person who openly displays red flags might not necessarily be the only one with problematic traits. Sometimes, the person who appears sweeter, calmer or more reasonable can have their own issues that are less obvious. The person who looks like the bigger red flag isn’t always the only one you should be paying attention to.
And that’s why I appreciate what William and Est are doing with these characters. Their portrayal makes you look beyond surface level labels and pay attention to the dynamics between them. You can enjoy their sweet moments while still recognising their flaws. You can understand a character without excusing everything they do.
Not every red flag is automatically an abusive person, just as being sweet doesn’t automatically make someone healthy. There’s a difference between recognising a character’s flaws and reducing their entire personality to those flaws.
Perhaps that’s why YouManiac receives so much criticism. Some people have already decided what the story means before looking closely at what it is actually showing us. And with so many people genuinely loving the series, perhaps they find it difficult to understand why audiences are drawn to characters they have already dismissed.
You don’t have to agree with the people who love the show but pls make sure you truly understand the character before judging the story. A red flag is a warning sign, not a complete character description.
WilliamEst, you really understood the assignment! I can’t wait to watch the remaining 2Ep.

SO Good
You Maniac completely exceeded my expectations. The script, direction, cinematography, and production are all so well done, but the acting is definitely the highlight.Barcode Kin brings a lot of charm and depth to his character. William is so natural and captivating, his expressions make his character really engaging to watch. And Est Supha as Moth? Absolutely amazing. His micro-expressions and eye acting are incredible. He makes Moth’s guarded and vulnerable sides feel so real without overacting. His chemistry with William is also insane, the tension is everything.
overall 1000/10

CRAZY START SIZZLING CHEMISTRY
The story starts on such a vibrant note, an avoidant moth and a flirty butterfly dean. Moth having only 1 true friend pun who unfortunately has a crush. No it's one sided love on moth. Deans friend ten persuades him to pursue moth, so he can clear his line for pun. Here starts the foundation of the series, while much more is to come, the beginning is interesting.
It has its own charm and quirk
Cinematography and direction
It's on par with high end series, above all the casual gmmtv series, with directors involvement clearly visible. Each scene and frame has a lot of efforts put in. The lighting, the colors, the editing, the bgm everything's awesome. Kudos to evryone
,
Though many may miss the detailing, all of moths art represent for whi he is. His painting and captions are amazing. He wants to be accepted as he is in the society. . all of deans insta reels are goofy.. his red flag shows out being loud and having too many hookups, while moths the opposite. it's going to be very interesting to see how these weave their relationship
Chemistry
Starting with friendships dean and ten share a great bond. And all their care for each other, the teasing is visible.
While moth and pun, the subtle discomfort which moth displays while pun tries to hit on him, is soo cleverly delivered byest. And give him an awad for that..
DEANMOTH
THE ACTORS. THE MYTH. THE LEGEND
After playing cute, green flag, mature THAMEPO, and extremely longing ROMEMOK, williamest are back with hot Deanmoth with a sizzling chemistry, every second they're on screen I can't breathe.. every single of their interaction is sooo well executed by them. It's a visual treat, can't be explained unless people watch it.
In short don't miss this out at all!!!

You maniac in one of the best BL series I've seen I a long time
You Maniac is a Thai bl show produced by gmmtv starring WilliamEst as Dean and Moth. It is the story about two self claiming redflag guys.It is the kind of series that grabs your attention from the very first episode. It perfectly balances comedy, tension, and emotional moments, making every scene feel engaging and unpredictable. The chemistry between the leads (WilliamEst) is one of the show's biggest strengths, bringing both the chaotic and heartfelt moments to life naturally. Each has a unique charm, when they come together it blends into something so magical that pleases your eyes.
What stands out most is how the series keeps you entertained without relying on repetitive tropes. The pacing feels smooth, the cinematography is visually appealing, and the soundtrack complements the mood well. Whether you're here for the humor, the characters, or the emotional depth, there's something to enjoy.
The cast delivers strong performances, making their characters feel believable and easy to connect with. Even the lighter moments serve a purpose, helping build relationships and making the story more immersive.
If you're looking for a series that's fun, emotionally engaging, and packed with great chemistry, You Maniac is definitely worth adding to your watchlist.
