Asami Mitsuhiko Series 7 (1996)

Asami Mitsuhiko visits Aizu City on a job as a reporter and witnesses the sudden death of lacquer craftsman Hirano Koji while touring a lacquerware workshop. An autopsy reveals that Koji died of poisoning from a poisonous substance that had been mixed into the capsules. Mitsuhiko becomes suspicious when he learns that Koji had been taking capsules that Koji claims were vitamins given to him by his son, Yoichi. Yoichi, who works as a dental technician in Tokyo, has gone missing after driving home to attend his father's wake.
