Some remakes should not have been made at all...

and this series is one we could have lived without. While there is/was controvery that Prommy is 21 and Boongkee is 16, the problem from the beginning is that Prommies charisma is like that of my wall. He is sooooo boring to look at, his acting is stiff and I have no idea how he got the role. Boongkee is a bit better but not close to good.

The whole cast is "colorless" in their acting abilities. The only exception is "Che". While "Peek" and "Boom" of the original series were also only 15 and 16 they delivered a much stronger performance. The script was also watered down and dumbed down, so to not create any controversies. So there is also no kissing or nc-scenes in this series, because that's Thailand and there was only one person under 20 doing a serious nc-scene.

Overall this series should have never been made with that script and most of the cast. It's boring as hell, the comedy cringe (with the typical thai soundeffects), the acting is stiff and there are too many episodes for too little content in the script. My advice is to just skip this series. If you have no clue what's it about, just watch the original, which is also not great but far superior!

The acting didn't make it right, but the cuteness did

As a remake, I feel like this one didn't totally follow the original. Maybe it's because the new cast is younger, but I kept thinking that they were around the same age as the original cast when they filmed the original, so I don't really understand why they changed or toned down certain parts.

I also wasn't really into the acting. The main couple lacked chemistry for me, and there weren't really many cute or romantic moments between them that gave me something to hold onto. Thankfully, the second couples made up for it, especially FrameBook. I really loved their chemistry. They honestly carried a lot of the enjoyment for me. I feel like the series made up for the lack of story and acting with how cute the cast was instead. I ended up just finding them ridiculously cute.

Honestly, I mainly watched this because I wanted to see some new faces, I wanted to see Fuse/Shane, and I've been really into BL high school series lately.

I did have pretty high expectations going into this after watching Class Crush Crisis, though. Both have newer casts, but I found myself much more intrigued and invested in Class Crush Crisis. The acting worked better for me there, and, admittedly, the cast also had more of the visual appeal I personally look for. But at least Make It Right 2026 made up for that with cuteness instead of just relying on looks.

Meh.

So here I am, I was able to finish this series. 😂

Honestly, I’m here for Shane “Frame” because I already loved him in Love Sick 2024. And again, I have to admit that I usually found myself focusing on FrameBook’s screentime. 😂

One thing I was kind of uncomfortable with was the casting of Tee and Fuse. It’s not really the age gap itself that concerns me, but the fact that the actor playing Tee is already 21, while Fuse is only 15. One is already a legal adult while the other is still a minor. Yes, there weren’t really any mature scenes in the series, but there were still moments where they were quite touchy. I just wish the casting had been more mindful of that, especially since this is a high-school setting. Having the cast within a similar age bracket would have made me feel more comfortable watching their interactions.

Acting-wise, there’s still a lot of room for improvement. But I also understand that this is the first project for most of them, so I’m still hopeful that we’ll get to see these familiar faces again in future projects with more experience and improved acting. They definitely have potential.

For the storyline, I honestly can’t remember much from the 2016 version, but I’m pretty sure a lot was omitted here, and I think that’s fine. However, since this is a remake, of course I was expecting a little more from it. Especially in today’s era, there are so many resources available to make a remake stand out. But unfortunately, there wasn’t much that gave me that “WOW” feeling throughout the series.

So, in summary... I don’t even know what story I was rooting for while watching this. HAHAHAHA. 😂

I was just here supporting the babies. That’s it. That was my storyline. 😭😂

Good actors and potential, but weak script and little action compared with the original MIR

The original series (OS) from 2016 series had a strong plot and strong characters and was packed with events. The 2026 version has all the circumstances and events toned down, and the 2026 characters are not so well defined or humorous. I don't recall any entirely new plot elements in the new series.
Not much happens except couples, especially Tee and Fuse, staring at each other, mostly silently but occasionally saying stock phrases. Tee could give a master class on how to stand silently staring. Some of the script is contrived, with actions which do not follow from previous actions, like the Ep1 scene in the restaurant where the owner's trousers are pulled down.
The lead boy playing Fuse (real age 16) has an attractive smiling personality. Some of the other characters like Lookmo, the blond-haired one, are believable. But what attracts Fuse to the new Tee is anyone's guess, because Tee is so wooden and unsmiling. He is obviously older (the actor is 21) and has a deep voice and a high head, although the hair could be a wig. Maybe the older actor feels out of place with the teenagers. In the episodes Fuse is always bewildered and wide-eyed. In the reaction videos and behind the scenes he is natural and more attractive as himself.
Shane and Peemkrit do a reasonable job as Frame and Book. In the OS, Book suffered anxiety because he had been r*ped by an older youth and could not tell his neglectful parents. In the 2026 series Book's anxiety is because he has posted video of himself on social media showing a tattoo (nothing rude) above his waist. Suddenly in Ep10 a student teacher finds Book's photos and wants to abuse Book, but Frame comes in and stops him. The next step should have been that the boys go to the principal to tell him about the student teacher, but we hear no more about it. The potential story goes nowhere. Only Frame shows any sign of physical attraction. The rest is fluff.
Most of the events of the OS either do not happen at all or are like faint echoes. There is no bondage or nc scene between Lookmo and Yok. Yok is fluffy and has almost no personality compared with the OS Yok, who is a very strong-willed character.
In the OS another boy, Wit (played captivatingly by Plan), took the lead in many events, but the 2026 Witt is just slow-witted and the butt of jokes. In the OS S1Ep10 in the school library Wit shows Lookmo and another boy how to bend at the knees and go down and up rubbing the front of his shorts against the edge of a table. Wit then says he is going to the rest room (!). In the new series Ep10 there is an echo of this with Wit and others suddenly almost doing pelvic thrusts in the cafeteria but it is just meaningless with no outcome.
"Comedy" music and sound effects tell you when to smile because otherwise you would not know it was funny. Altogether, the cast are very likeable and do their best, but are let down with a very weak script and direction.

Make It Right 2026: Something Just Isn’t Clicking ?

Okay, I’ll be honest: I watched the 2016 Make It Right, and I wasn’t exactly head-over-heels in love with it. But after watching the 2026 adaptation, I’m starting to appreciate the original more because, for me, it was more engaging.

First, I really don’t think the casting is the problem. The new cast is young, good-looking, and I can see the potential. They’re also new to the industry, and most of them are playing teenagers, so obviously there will be some awkwardness. That part I can understand and I’m willing to give them time to grow.

My problem is more with how the scenes are being put together.

Sometimes it feels like the scenes are just being thrown at us randomly. There isn’t always a smooth flow from one scene to another, so I find myself wondering, “Wait, how did we get here?” It just doesn’t feel very cohesive.

There was even a scene where it was supposed to be a weekend, but you could clearly see students in uniforms in the background. Of course, maybe they had special classes or whatever, but little things like that make the whole thing feel a bit messy.

And now we’re already on Episode 4, but I honestly feel like the story is barely moving. It’s starting to feel stagnant and, unfortunately, a little boring. I keep waiting for that moment where things finally pick up, but I’m still waiting.

I’ve also noticed that I don’t see that many edits or clips from this series compared to other shows airing right now. Of course, that doesn’t automatically mean the series is doing badly, but it does make me wonder if other viewers are also struggling to find something that really grabs them.

And there are other ongoing high school series right now that are doing this kind of story really well. So I know the setting itself isn’t the problem. It’s really more about the execution.

Even Love Sick's 2024 adaptation was pretty well received, which shows that older stories can still be remade successfully when the adaptation feels fresh and well put together.

That being said, I genuinely want this series to do well. I feel bad being too harsh because you can tell the cast is putting effort into it. They’re young, they’re still learning, and hopefully they’ll become more comfortable with their characters as the series progresses.

So I’m really hoping the succeeding episodes will pick up because I WANT to like this. I want the cast to succeed, and I want all the effort they’re putting into this to pay off.

For now, though, I have to say… I wasn’t even that obsessed with the 2016 version, but somehow I’m sitting here thinking, “You know what? The original was better.”

Hopefully, Make It Right 2026 proves me wrong in the next few episodes. Please let them peak because I’m still rooting for these kids.

My own view on this series

Casting kept bothering me. It should have been better. The original Make it right which comes in 2016 casting was good. The guy who's playing Ohm's character in the 2026 version doesn't suit the "Frame" character. The 2026 casting doesn't do justice to it. Many scenes are missing from the original. Let's wait and see how the series goes.

- ep 12 watch 17-end

What I Liked
- felt like high schoolers*
- easy to understand premise
- supportive parents/friends
- cameos

Room For Improvement
- Fuse's indecisiveness
- the evil girlfriend trope (wish they had updated this)
- Book almost felt like he was playing games by being fake reluctant, though I liked their relationship overall
- too many characters/couples (5)
- *with the actors' ages they needed to not get too NSFW but the lack of 1 real/shown lip kiss was odd
- love rivals
- that the student teacher wasn't fired/in jail
- episode 4 was quite jumpy with Frame/Book
- too many flashbacks
- comedy sound effects did not make things funny

Note: the characters were both in high school. The two lead actors were 21 and 15 when they shot this. It did not bother me because they had cheek kisses.

Então, a série me ganhou.
