A Masterclass in Psychological Gaslighting ?
Finally, another show that I actually look forward to every week😭I went into Third Person expecting anything, and four episodes in, I find myself questioning almost everything happening on screen. There is something so unsettling about the way this story unfolds. It gives you just enough information to form a theory, then leaves you wondering whether you’ve actually figured something out or completely fallen for the same deception as the characters.
Apparently, I’m not the only one getting psychological-thriller vibes from this, because I’ve seen other viewers picking up on the same thing. I still think calling it a full-on psychological thriller might be a stretch, but there is definitely something psychologically unsettling happening underneath the supposed romance.
My biggest theory right now? Nadia and Chris may not have had the relationship we’re being led to believe they had. Of course I’m just speculating, but the more I watch, the more suspicious Nadia’s version of their history becomes.
And the contrast between Nadia and Sun is impossible to ignore. Chris may not consciously remember her past, but her reactions to the two of them are completely different. The discomfort with Nadia versus the immediate sense of familiarity and safety with Sun is quite telling.
Maybe I’m reading too much into everything. Maybe I’m not. But surely I’m not the only one suspicious of Nadia?
Four episodes in, and I have questions. So many questions. And I genuinely cannot wait to see how many of my theories survive the rest of this series.
And this rating, I think, is a bit ridiculous?

Another Good One From North Star
✨ THIRD PERSON Ep 1: Already Hooked ✨ You already KNOW I walked into this with sky-high hopes — I mean, this is North Star Entertainment we’re talking about! The absolute legends who blessed us with the masterpiece that was 4 Elements and the gripping Poisonous Love? They don’t miss. And wow, did Third Person Episode 1 deliver beautifully 🔥Chris, recovering from amnesia after an accident four years ago, living what seems like a strange but peaceful life with her devoted partner Nadear — until the mysterious Sun walks in and turns everything upside down. My mind’s already spinning with questions: Is Chris blurring dreams and reality just to cope with her lost memories? Is Nadear truly as selfless as she seems, or did she somehow step into Chris’s life after that accident? And what history does Sun share with Chris that makes Chris feel so inexplicably drawn to her? 😵💫
That tension? Absolutely electric ⚡ The whole vibe feels so compelling, the leads are stunning, and the mystery is already gripping — but I just have this sinking feeling deep down that someone’s heart is going to get completely broken in this gorgeous, tangled mess 💔 Can’t wait to unravel it all every Saturday! ✨🇹🇭
P. S. Garn Nuttacha Ratchayangkanont is so pretty! And Mimie Bhapat Ahchariyasripong is 🔥hot🔥
✨ THIRD PERSON Ep 4: When Trauma Returns But Memories Don’t ✨
This episode was… visceral. It wasn’t just sad — it felt clinically raw. Chris isn’t simply “trying to remember”; she’s fighting through a profound cognitive dissonance that’s draining her physically and emotionally. The most heartbreaking truth? The memories haven’t returned — but the trauma has. Her dizziness, her fatigue, that persistent gloom — these aren’t just symptoms. They’re the somatic echo of a wound her mind has tried to wall off through dissociative amnesia, and that protective mechanism is straining under pressure.
What struck me deeply is the stark contrast between Chris and Sun. Both experienced the same event, yet their post-traumatic trajectories are diverging sharply. Sun appears to have had better therapeutic support and a safer environment — factors that clearly matter when navigating memory recovery. Meanwhile, Chris remains in a space that feels increasingly isolating, and that’s where my unease about Nadear solidified.
Nadear doesn’t feel like a partner anymore — she reads as someone caught in the grip of pathological obsession. It’s a painful distinction: love nurtures autonomy; obsession seeks control. Keeping someone contained, discouraging outside connections, discouraging the pursuit of truth — that’s not devotion, that’s emotional entrapment. And Chris’s instinctive recoil? That’s her limbic system screaming what her conscious mind cannot yet articulate: something is wrong. The brain may forget, but the body retains the implicit memory of threat. That’s not paranoia — that’s interoceptive awareness doing its job.
And then there’s the psychiatrist. I genuinely hope I’m misreading this dynamic, because the alternative is deeply concerning. If professional judgment is being compromised by personal attachment — if she’s complicit in validating false narratives that keep Chris dependent — that crosses into enabling. It’s one thing to support a patient’s coping process; it’s another to reinforce someone else’s distortion of reality. That’s a profound breach of therapeutic boundaries, and I’m watching closely.
All of this has me piecing together a theory that feels less like speculation and more like a profile: two people in a healthy bond, disrupted by an unhealthy fixation. An affair born of that obsession. A catastrophic event — the accident — that inflicted dissociative amnesia on both survivors, but severed their paths to recovery. And then the window of opportunity — four years of carefully curated reality, selective information, and gaslighting, designed to keep the truth buried.
We’re no longer just piecing together a mystery — we’re witnessing the cost of what happens when someone else holds the pen to your life story. Chris isn’t just recovering memory; she’s fighting to reclaim her identity from a narrative that was never hers. And that, more than any plot twist, is what makes this series so hauntingly powerful.
Truth has a way of surfacing — even when the mind tries to hide from it. I just hope when it does, Chris has the strength to bear it. 🇹🇭
🧠 THIRD PERSON — Episode 7: The Labyrinth Sharpens
🎞️ Psychological Thriller
'Memento' vibes hit hard. The timeline fractures, past and present blur — deliberate narrative disorientation. You’re piecing together a puzzle with shifting edges. It’s dizzying, deliberate, and brilliantly disorienting.
🧩 Psychological Lens
Everyone’s mask is slipping.
Dr. Jeen — professional objectivity has vanished. Personal interest has compromised clinical judgement. Ethical boundaries are crossed.
Nadear — beneath devotion lies obsessive possession. Her "love" is control. She needs Chris dependent, not healed.
Sun — silence is weaponized. Withholding truth isn’t protection — it’s narrative control. Chris can’t heal when someone curates her reality.
This isn’t romance. It’s a psychological trap. Gaslighting, selective amnesia, manufactured realities — they’re all feeding her fragments that serve their version of the truth. She’s not recovering memory — she’s being fitted for someone else’s cage.
The gray maze has no floor. No one tells the whole story. Every silence is a lie by omission. Every version of the past is self-serving.
Trust nothing. Question everyone. 🇹🇭🧠💯

Definitely a must-watch!
It’s so good and exciting to watch! The GL actresses are also really beautiful. Such a beautiful story—so romantic, heartwarming, and totally makes you fall in love! I’m sure the main leads will become even more popular because of this. Hopefully, we’ll get to see them together in many more GL series in the future! ❤️✨Was this review helpful to you?
Emotionally charged with a gripping mystery storyline
I am really loving Third Person, and honestly, it’s easily one of the most compelling and underrated Thai GL dramas to come out.On paper, it sounds like a typical amnesia trope type storyline, but i think it is turning into a high-stakes psychological mystery about memory loss, obsession, and trauma makes it so hard to look away. What really sells the whole show for me is Garn and Mimie as Chris and Sun. Their chemistry is insane, but it’s the quiet micro-expressions that completely steal the show. Garn does such an amazing job showing the subtle differences in how Chris acts....like those genuine, dimpled smiles she only gives Sun, compared to how visibly stiff and uncomfortable she gets whenever Nadear touches her.
That whole conflict between her mind and body is done so well in my opinion. Even though her brain is clinging to this whole post-accident life that Nadia built around her, her body and heart instinctively know Sun is her safe space.
You are left constantly piecing together what actually went down four years ago before the accident shattered everything. and the story is also unfolding and giving us small clues little by little which keeps us at the edge of our sit.
i personally think in the craziness of ohter great GLs this time Third Person is being kinda overlooked ...This matured show should be watched by us all and the 7.9 rating really doesnt do justice for this show. They deserve more recognition.
