jinx??? plagiarism???
it reminded me of the jinx manhwa, but it was much worse. the story was terrible, and frankly, what they were trying to say just didn't resonate with me. i was disappointed that I didn't feel the love they were portraying. the side couple looked nice on the outside, but their story was awful, and i hated the sculptor. i think he groom the other character. it's really very similar to the jinx manhwa, and i can't tell if it's plagiarism or not. the sheer similarity was very disturbing while watching it.Was this review helpful to you?

Past Time BL
I'm going to start by saying how I really like the cast for this drama but the story progressing was not for me. What really disappoint me was the ending. The ending was too fast. Even the other couple was getting more scenes imo. What a really waste of good looking MLs with good chemistry. I rattled too much but still I give this drama a solid 9/10 because of the casts and the oats. But will I recommend it to anyone? Yes and No. Yes, if you're dry on BLs to watch. No, to save you from the horrible story progression. Was this review helpful to you?
I loved both couple, even though sometimes I didn't understand the characters and their decisions.
I find the break up arc too long to be honest and got me bored.

i find myself liking the second couple more, but i dont feel like anything is captivating me enough
but anyway i wish success for every cbl as they work hard to make them in the conditions that they are in ^^
note: i heard that its Jinx manhwa live action without the acknowledge, im not sure how much true it is as i didnt check the manhwa but if its true then i hope they give credit to it

Literally the live action of the webtoon JINX minus the NC
I am not sure why we don't see credits to Jinx but this is literally Jinx to the core. They have switched up the sport probably cz they had a hard time finding a lead as buff as JK to cast but they've kept the eyebrows. They've switched the grandma to brother. Potato is now a photographer and the actor is an artist. The plot remains the same but cz they've removed NCs they've had to make some minor changes. The NCs are barely there so JK doesn't seem as bad as the webtoon he seems like a normal tsundre ML who is unable to express his feeling🤭🤭 which is kinda cute. The only reason i am giving this an 8 is cz i love the webtoon a lot especially the boxing and the granny... so the change kinda makes me uncomfortable. Overall it's a good drama but the acting needs a little work in some places

One thing is certain: these are the worst kisses in BL history!
I’m genuinely trying to give this drama a chance because I enjoy Chinese BLs. Unfortunately, this one has been very difficult to get through. The story itself is fairly decent, but the editing and directing are among the worst I’ve ever seen. The actors are interesting and have potential, but they are being terribly mismanaged. Such a shame.
I’ll try to continue a little longer, but I’m already almost halfway through the drama, and everything so far feels like complete chaos. The editing is awful, and it’s such a waste of good actors.

It's basically Jinx manhwa live action without the acknowledge
Honestly, I've got some moral issues here...This series isn't just similar with Jinx.. it's literally the same. The are only 3 differencesn
1. Joo Jaekyung is tennis player
2. Kim Dam took the job offer for his brother
3. There is no 🍇 (yet) and I don't think it will be
True, the story is much less toxic, it's technically a green flag version of Jinx, but it's still pretty much the same. I saw only 2 episodes and I really do wish I was wrong, but these two episodes are exactly the same as first chapters of Jinx. The exact same scenes in the exact same order with almost the exact same lines.
It makes me sad, because the actors have perfect chemistry and the story is capturing, but as someone who has read Jinx since there were only 8 chapters (100th chapter was released today), I just can't overlook this fact no matter how much I want to...
So I really so wish it'll change in next episodes...
(I will delete or edit this review if they prove me wrong.)

A pretty decent series overall, although the relationship was definitely on the toxic side.It had some interesting moments, but the dynamic between the characters wasn’t always easy to watch. 😅

Very cliché but i love petty angst
This series is lowkey giving Jinx in its first episode, just with a different sport. But after that, you'll realize it's actually very different from Jinx.Honestly, there's not that much special about the storyline, but I'll be honest... I got hooked. Hahahaha. Why? Because the story is cliché, but it's giving the classic Wattpad stories we read 15 years ago. The angst is cliché too, but sorry, that's exactly the kind of angst I'm weak for. HAHAHAHAHAHA.
The second thing I like is that the main lead took a long time to forgive the other. Yes! Let him suffer! Let him yearn!
I didn't like the ending, though. They could've given us more.
So overall, I wouldn't really say this is a great series. It just happens that I'm weak for this kind of angst. Hahahaha.

NEED MORE CBL
I loved this series so much. Obsessed with both the main couple and the secondary couple. I know some people disliked the younger brother- but I found him adorable and super protective of his brother. (Don’t worry, he’s not like the brother from Double Helix). Secondary couple’s chemistry was amazing! At one point I was watching it just for them.Such a high quality series. I loooved the wardrobes/outfits each character had!
Although it’s not really needed, I’d love a season 2. I hope to see these actors in another BL series sometime.

No proper ending , unhealthy dynamics
The ost is nice tho theres only a few to repeat...The story starts of cute where the main lead cant underatand his feelings and misunderstand the love for wanting to control...
1 main thing i dont like is how both couples didnt officialise their feelings or relationship n just kinda went to it.
2. Theres a lot of unresolved drama like the 2nd male lead family issue. Youen seem to have some trauma that they didnt communicate. The sudden return of qiuyu master in the opponent team. There was no match after to show youen's massage n treatment help qiuyu win.. would have been nice to have a proper closure. In the end the brother still dont know their relationship... both relationships seems like a underground relationship..
3. The dynamic of qiuyu n youen is like a switch from 1 being "above" and instructing the other as a contract obligation and then switch to feeling bad and desperate trying to win him back and power switch over... there was no trust but alot of triggers and that caused more obstacles...
4. The whole show was either unnecessary fights or toxic relationships control...
5. The 2nd couple is healthyish with possessiveness but there was no officially asking out n then a whole ton of misunderstanding that the other dont want them..
Tbh i watched it cause of moments clips here and there but watching the whole show , i wont rewatch it...

The Toxic!
This is yet another one of those enticing BI series that initially pulls you in but then does nothing, and I do mean nothing, with the story. It drones on and on around the same topic. Toxicity. Yet, has the audacity to sugar-coat it with tear-jerking moments pretending to be examples of arcs to love. This series presents well as there is an arc to redemption. However, as is usual, the abuser tries his best to become the victim and the victim in essence becomes more like an abuser. These kinds of dichotomies must end. Abuse, bullying, and exploitation should have no value as being dominant in BLs. Yet here they are – living and thriving. Prettying them up and trying to make it acceptable and even throwing in heaps of absolution into the mix. It does not, however, even begin to diminish the pain that the real victim had to go through. This is yet another Chinese BL that projects gayness as full of toxicity, abuse, a milquetoast lackey always in need of some type of rescuing, and of course a lineage of tremendous pain and discomfort in order to receive the ultimate gift that the abuser will see the light and love you back. Plus, gays are obviously lousy kissers. Was this review helpful to you?
