Waste of Time

Blooms For Her was not a good drama. I am sorry I watched it. The female lead was an assassin and never had a fight; she seemed scared to fight. She wanted to be with the once cripple prince, but left him at the end. I believe when she heard him command that one of the minister's family be wiped out, it brought back too many memories of her family being wiped out.

The prince in the wheelchair was so cruel to the female lead character at the beginning. He poisoned her, threatened her and belittled her (understatement on this one). When he started to become more friendly towards her, she was going to stay with him. She decided to leave him at the end, to be free.

I believe that the main characters loved each other... She even said that they should meet again in the next life, but why?

Do not waste your time on this nonsensical drama.

The Cast Deserved Better Material

This was an okay drama for me. I stuck with it until the end, even though I became increasingly disappointed as the story progressed.

The script was probably my biggest issue. It explored unusual story ideas and occasionally ventured into topics that might feel a little icky or uncomfortable for some viewers. That alone wasn’t necessarily a problem for me, but the way certain developments and subplots unfolded often didn’t make much sense. At times, characters made choices that felt inconsistent with their earlier characterization or with how the story had initially been presented. These shifts were jarring, making the transition between the first and second halves feel somewhat disjointed. Overall, the writing felt all over the place, and I struggled with some of the narrative decisions.

Still, there were things I enjoyed enough to keep watching. I liked the costumes and the male lead’s biting persona, and I think both performers are underrated. It was nice seeing them in these roles, even when the script didn’t give them the strongest material to work with. I enjoyed the concept and appreciated the performers’ delivery, but the execution fell short for me.

My disappointment was especially noticeable toward the end. At 27 episodes, this is a relatively long micro drama, so it required a greater time investment than some of the shorter ones. Given the inconsistencies in the writing and the narrative gaps that became more apparent as the story progressed, I wasn’t particularly satisfied with how everything came together. A different approach to the ending might have helped offset some of the issues I had with the overall execution.

Ultimately, this was an okay watch for me.
