Shin Min Ah & Lee Jin Wook Reunite As First Loves In MBC's "Sumokgeum," Coming In 2027

Shin Min Ah and Lee Jin Wook are teaming up as former lovers who find each other again!

On November 5, MBC announced that their new Friday-Saturday drama "Sumokgeum" (literal title "Wednesday Thursday Friday") will air in the first half of 2027.

What is "Sumokgeum" about?

"Sumokgeum" is a human melodrama about love, forgiveness and growth. It is set at a restaurant called Sumokgeum, which opens only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays each week.

The characters

• Shin Min Ah plays Cha Eun Soo, who seeks out Kim Dong Woo, the first love she broke up with 12 years ago, while hiding her real reason for coming back.
• Lee Jin Wook plays Kim Dong Woo, the chef of Sumokgeum, who has lived with the memory of Cha Eun Soo, the first love he could not protect.
• Yoo Teo plays Lee Won Pil, Cha Eun Soo's husband and an executive director at a construction company.

The team behind it

• The script is written by Joo Hyun, the writer of "The World of the Married" and "Ms. Temper & Nam Jung Gi."
• It is directed by Jung Dong Yoon, who made "Gyeongseong Creature" and "Hot Stove League."
• Kang Eun Kyung, the writer of "King of Baking, Kim Takgu" and "Dr. Romantic" seasons 1, 2 and 3, joins as the creator.
