On March 17, several media outlets reported that Ahn Hyo Seop is finally returning to the romantic comedy genre. According to reports, Ahn Hyo Seop will lead the upcoming SBS K-drama Today Is Sold Out Too (literal translation).
Ahn Hyo Seop's agency The Present Company responded to the casting reports. They stated, "Ahn Hyo Seop did receive the casting offer and he is currently reviewing it."
Today Is Sold Out Too is a healing romantic comedy about two work-driven individuals seeking to fill the emptiness in their hearts.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Ahn Jong Yeon (Seoul Busters) and rookie writer Jin Seung Hee.
According to reports, Ahn Hyo Seop got the offer to portray the role of Matthew Lee, a mysterious farmer.
Today Is Sold Out Too will reportedly premiere on SBS in 2026.
Before Ahn Hyo Seop joins Today Is Sold Out Too, the actor will first greet viewers through the upcoming film Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy with Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, After School's Nana, Shin Seung Ho, and BLACKPINK's Ji Soo. The film will premiere in Korean theaters in July 2025. This will also be Ahn Hyo Seop's debut on the big screen.
Ahn Hyo Seop was last seen in the 2023 Netflix original K-drama A Time Called You with Jeon Yeo Been, Kang Hoon, Seo Ye Hwa, Lee Min Goo, and Jang Hye Jin.
