Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang are in discussion to team up in a new web novel-based K-drama.
On April 21, media outlets shared that Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang have been chosen to be the main leads of the upcoming K-drama Charge Me Up.
Charge Me Up will showcase the electrifying love story between a man whose artificial heart battery is running low and a woman who has the power of electricity. The K-drama will depict its story from the web novel of the same name.
Both Chae Soo Bin and Kim Young Kwang got the offer to portray the main leads.
Director Park Soo Won will helm the upcoming K-drama. She is known for creating the series Work Later, Drink Now Season 2, Birthcare Center, and Big Forest.
Details regarding its airing date are still not confirmed. According to reports, the K-drama will premiere on a global OTT platform.
This will possibly be Chae Soo Bin's second upcoming K-drama. She will also reportedly lead the upcoming series Treat Her with Caution.
Last year, Chae Soo Bin led the hit K-drama When the Phone Rings with Yoo Yeon Seok, Heo Nam Jun, Jang Gyu Ri, Han Jae Yi, and Jung Dong Hwan.
Chae Soo Bin is known for starring in the series The Fabulous, Rookie Cops, A Piece of Your Mind, Where Stars Land, I'm Not a Robot, and more.
On the other hand, this will possibly be Kim Young Kwang's fifth upcoming K-drama. He will also join the new series Mission 2: Possible, Eun Soo Good Day, The Haunted Palace, and Trigger.
Kim Young Kwang is also appearing in the upcoming movies 50 First Dates, First Ride, and Comeback Home.
