Netflix has unveiled fresh stills from Notes from the Last Row.

Notes from the Last Row is a suspense drama that tells the story of Heo Moon Oh (Choi Min Sik), a failed writer and Korean literature professor, who discovers the genius of Lee Kang (Choi Hyun Wook), a boy sitting in the very last row of his classroom, and becomes increasingly impressed by his writing.

The newly released stills capture Heo Moon Oh visiting Lee Kang, who works part-time at a convenience store.

Unlike Lee Kang, who appears indifferent and curt, Heo Moon Oh actively approaches him as if trying to persuade him. The images heighten curiosity by foreshadowing how the dynamics between the two men — which began as teacher and student — will become distorted by obsession and tension.

The stills also introduce the figures who stir Heo Moon Oh's inferiority complex and desires.

Kim Soo Hoon (Heo Joon Ho) is a successful, renowned author and Heo Moon Oh's former university classmate, someone toward whom Heo Moon Oh harbors a one-sided sense of rivalry. The scene where Heo Moon Oh gazes at Kim Soo Hoon with contempt lays bare the deep-seated feelings of inferiority he has carried for years.

Ahn Eun Joo (Kim Yoon Jin), Kim Soo Hoon's wife, is Heo Moon Oh's junior at university and his first love. The presence of these two figures — one a successful classmate and the other the love he never attained — deepens Heo Moon Oh's sense of lack.

Jin Kyung takes on the role of Jo Hyun Sook, Heo Moon Oh's wife, and a psychological counselor. While Hyun Sook supports her husband's private tutoring, she watches with growing unease as he becomes excessively absorbed in Lee Kang's writing.

Jo Han Chul appears as a fellow professor who arranges a joint lecture featuring Heo Moon Oh and Kim Soo Hoon.

Kim Se Yoon (Lee Jin Woo), Lee Kang's university classmate, quickly grows close to him with his bright and friendly personality, in stark contrast to the reserved Lee Kang, who rarely reveals what's on his mind. Although Se Yoon shows goodwill toward Lee Kang — to the extent of introducing him to his family — Lee Kang's presence ends up causing unexpected ripples within Se Yoon's once-peaceful household.

Kim Jong Tae and Moon Jung Hee play Kim Se Yoon's parents, while Jung Yi Seo takes on the role of his older sister, whose unreadable expressions conceal her true thoughts. Meanwhile, Han Ji Eun stars as a housekeeper whose strange behavior leaves not only the family but also Lee Kang caught off guard.

Notes from the Last Row will premiere on June 26, only on Netflix.
