
Actor Choi Won Young's follow-up project after Family by Choice will be Dear Bandit.
On April 28, it was officially confirmed that Choi Won Young is joining Nam Ji Hyun, Moon Sang Min, Kim Suk Hoon, and Ha Seok Jin in the upcoming K-drama historical romance K-drama Dear Bandit.
Dear Bandit will reveal the romance story between a woman who becomes a bandit by chance and a prince who pursues her, only to find himself captivated by her. To protect each other, they exchange souls. The drama's script, penned by Lee Sun, won Studio Dragon's 2020 contest.
Nam Ji Hyun will be Hong Eun Jo, the daughter of a noble father and a slave mother. She is also known as "Hong Gil Dong." She hides her existence as a woman and aims to steal from corrupt people.
Moon Sang Min will be Lee Yeol, the Prince of Dowol, in the series. He is known for his outstanding appearance. He enjoys detective investigations and will encounter Hong Eun Jo. The prince will fall in love at first sight with Hong Eun Jo.
Choi Won Young, on the other hand, will portray Im Sa Hyung, the father of Im Jae Yi, who has a conflict with Moon Sang Min's character, Lee Yeol.
Dear Bandit is expected to air in the second half of 2025. It will exclusively air on KBS.
Last year, Choi Won Young starred in the Korean remake of the hit Chinese series Go Ahead, titled Family By Choice. He became the father of the characters of Hwang In Youp, Jung Chae Yeon, and Bae Hyeon Seong.
He also appeared in the Netflix original series Hierarchy, led by Roh Jeong Eui, Lee Chae Min, Kim Jae Won, Ji Hye Won, Lee Won Jung, and Chae Seo An.
In 2025, Choi Won Young will be in two K-dramas. Aside from Dear Bandit, he is also set to join the cast of the upcoming series The Murky Stream with Ro Woon, Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, Park Ji Hwan, Jeon Bae Soo, and Choi Gwi Hwa.
