Taxi Driver series tells the story of Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon), a taxi driver, and team at the secretive company Rainbow Taxi, who deliver revenge on behalf of the wronged.

Director Kang Bo Seung previously participated as an assistant director in Season 1 of the series.

"I didn't expect that we would be doing Season 3," he said, adding, "Although the series has become a hit, as someone who was there from the very beginning of Taxi Driver, I tried not to forget the humble goals and small sincerity it started with." "I am happy to be able to take charge of directing Season 3 and work with writer Oh Sang Ho from developing the script for Episode 1 to discussing the themes and genres of the final episode."

Director Kang also spoke about what changes in Season 3: "The fact that the five members of Rainbow Taxi remain the same in their places is the greatest asset of the Taxi Driver series. Their personalities or relationships don't suddenly change, and Do Gi's combat skills are just as sharp as ever. To maximize the outcome with these 'constants', I decided that we needed to amplify the variables. What sets this season apart from the previous ones is that the villains — the evils of society — have changed."

He added, "Since Do Gi's alternate personas and action scenes that change depending on the villains are the highlights of Taxi Driver, we put a lot of effort into building each villain character for every case. As part of that buildup, we also devoted a lot of effort to artistically designing the villains' spaces that serve as the backdrop for each story. Moreover, to ensure that the acting energy of the actors playing the villains wouldn't dissipate, we also worked hard to keep the camera positions simple and precise."

Each season, the Taxi Driver series has resonated with viewers through episodes inspired by real-life incidents. Regarding this, Director Kang said, "The aspect I paid the most attention to when directing these episodes was motivation."

"I thought a lot about what could motivate taxi company employees — not police officers whose job is to catch criminals — to pursue and punish villains. I concluded that a hero's driving force must be emotion. I believe heroes embody a sense of justice — something that doesn't exist in reality but should. So this time, instead of referring to them as 'victims,' I tried to paint them as 'survivors' whenever possible and aimed to portray their stories with greater depth. I believed that only by properly portraying these emotions would the pursuits of the Rainbow Taxi team feel justified and deliver catharsis."

Lastly, director Kang shared what it was like working with the Rainbow Five: "Thanks to their outstanding teamwork, they move so efficiently that it even shortens our filming time."

He also highlighted the unique viewing points of Season 3, saying, "I tried to direct each episode in a slightly different way. I selected a 'key color' that metaphorically represents the essence of each episode, hoping that every episode would be represented by and remembered through a specific color. I also hope viewers will enjoy the fun of experiencing the different genres that vary according to each episode."

Taxi Driver Season 3 is set to premiere on November 21. The K-drama will air on Viu (select regions).
