Kim Sae Ron's posthumous film 'Everyday, We' confirmed to premiere in 2026
After generating controversy with a social media post featuring BLACKPINK's Rosé during the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 show, Elle UK has released an official apology.
The recent controversy began when Elle UK posted a photo of Charli XCX, Hailey Bieber, and Zoe Kravitz from the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 show. Netizens quickly accused the magazine of racism after noting they had deliberately cropped out BLACKPINK's Rosé, who is also a global brand ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent.
Following the backlash, Elle UK issued a formal apology, stating that the decision to crop Rosé was only due to photo sizing issues and was not meant to offend anyone. To address the issue, the magazine removed the controversial post and published separate, individual pictures of BLACKPINK's Rosé.
Here's the official statement of Elle UK:
We sincerely apologise for a recent post from Paris Fashion Week in which Rosé of BLACKPINK was cropped from a group photo for size. We did not mean to offend anyone.
The post has been removed, and Elle UK remains committed to ensuring our future coverage represents the full spectrum of our audience we so greatly respect.

Rosé did not address the controversy involving ELLE UK but instead used her platform to continue actively promoting the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2026 show. The BLACKPINK star showed her support by uploading runway content to her social media and praising Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello.
Rosé has been the global ambassador of Saint Laurent since 2020.
Aside from her success as an ambassador, Rosé continues to thrive in both her solo and group career. Most recently, her collaboration with Bruno Mars, "APT," made history by winning "Song of the Year" at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs).
Her K-pop group BLACKPINK also reunited last July, releasing the hit song "JUMP."
