Actor Go Kyung Pyo has shared his thoughts on Undercover Miss Hong.

Undercover Miss Hong follows Hong Geum Bo (Park Shin Hye), an ace supervisor for the Financial Supervisory Service, who goes undercover as a 20-year-old entry-level employee at a securities firm after detecting suspicious fund flows.

In the tvN drama, Go Kyung Pyo played Shin Jung Woo, a perfectionist who trusts nothing but numbers. He joins Hanmin Securities as its new president, where he reunites with Hong Geum Bo, who has gone undercover there on a mission.

Below is the full Q&A with Go Kyung Pyo:

Undercover Miss Hong has come to a grand close. How do you feel now that it has ended?

It has been a while since I last greeted viewers through a 16-episode drama. Many actors worked together under Park Shin Hye's excellent leadership, and the set was truly enjoyable. Above all, I feel a great sense of accomplishment as an actor, knowing that the immense love viewers sent us was reflected in the high ratings and reciprocated. Going forward, I will continue striving to work on projects that can bring joy and receive love.

You portrayed Shin Jung Woo as someone who strictly follows business logic while also delicately expressing the complicated and subtle emotions he still holds for his former lover, Hong Geum Bo. What was the aspect you found the most challenging while playing a character with such a wide emotional range?

There were many moments when Jung Woo's and Geum Bo's convictions clashed fiercely. I thought Jung Woo carried vivid memories of them deep in his heart, so even within a relatively short amount of screen time, I wanted to convey his emotions in a detailed way that matched the changes in his values. In particular, I acted while giving a great deal of thought to the hope that the sense of justice Jung Woo himself believed in would not come across to viewers as simply "bad".

How similar are you to Shin Jung Woo, the president of Hanmin Securities? What are the similarities and differences between him and you?

In truth, I don't think I'm very similar to Jung Woo. In fact, personality-wise, I think I'm more similar to Geum Bo. I'm also the type of person who, even if I have to take a bit of a loss, is willing to make sacrifices for the sake of everyone.

You faced off against a number of characters in the drama and helped drive its taut sense of tension. What was the on-set chemistry like with the cast you worked with, including Park Shin Hye?

The set itself was a great joy, surrounded by senior actors I truly respect and my fellow cast members. There was always a lot of laughter, and every moment was a learning experience. I thought I had already spent quite a long time working on sets, but this project made me realize that there is still so much for me to learn. Watching from up close how Park Shin Hye, the senior actors, and even the junior actors approached acting and their attitudes towards the set gave me, as an actor, an opportunity to reflect on myself and feel grateful once again.

Is there a particularly memorable scene, dialogue, or behind-the-scenes story from filming you'd like to share?

Personally, the scenes that contained Geum Bo and Jung Woo's shared past remain the most memorable to me. They were brief, but I think they were precious moments that made the relationship between the two feel convincing. As for a behind-the-scenes story, filming took place through the cold winter, but since there were many indoor shoots, I personally really liked that (laughs).

2026 has begun. Do you have any plans for the year or goals as an actor?

I am getting ready to meet you all again through a new project and as a producer. I will diligently devote myself to the work given to me and do my very best at every moment. I hope you'll watch over me with a light heart.

Lastly, is there anything you would like to say to the viewers who have loved Undercover Miss Hong all this time?

I sincerely thank you for staying with our drama all this time. Thanks to you, it was also a deeply rewarding time for me. I hope that everyone stays healthy this year as well, and that your days are filled with frequent moments of happiness.
