'Moving Season 2': Disney+ responds to reports of Won Gyu Bin replacing Lee Jung Ha as Kim Bong Seok

Rising actor Won Gyu Bin is rumoured to take over the role of Kim Bong Seok — portrayed by Lee Jung Ha — in the upcoming Disney+ series Moving Season 2.

On April 16, SPOTV News claimed that Won Gyu Bin had been selected to portray Kim Bong Seok in Season 2 of Moving and had recently joined a large-scale script reading held at KINTEX in Ilsan, attended by roughly 150 cast and crew members. However, his agency nne responded, "We cannot confirm this. We ask for your understanding." Disney+ issued a similar statement, saying "unable to confirm."

Moving is an action thriller about special children hiding their superpowers and their parents struggling to protect them from being exploited by other people.

Season 1 featured household names like Ryu Seung Ryong, Han Hyo Joo, Zo In Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, Ryu Seung Beom, Kim Sung Kyun, Kim Hee Won, Moon Sung Geun, and rising stars Lee Jung Ha, Go Youn Jung, and Kim Do Hoon.

The series achieved significant global popularity, becoming the most-watched Korean original on Disney+ globally and Hulu in the U.S. at the time of its release. The second season is expected to broaden the narrative with fresh faces and expanded storylines, with a tentative premiere planned for 2027.

Meanwhile, Lee Jung Ha is reported not to reprise his role in Season 2 due to his ongoing military service. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on January 26 and is expected to be discharged in July 2027.
