Sacred Jewel has unveiled fresh stills featuring actress Ha Yoon Kyoung as she transforms into Geol Seung, the guide for the escort team.
Sacred Jewel takes place in 1258 (Goryeo Dynasty), when defeat loomed after years of war with the Mongols. The story follows the heroic struggle of an expedition unit that sets out in search of a sacred relic believed to protect the nation, as well as a princess who strives to save them.
In the drama, Ha Yoon Kyung plays Geol Seung, the owner of a cheongru (traditional entertainment establishment) in the marketplace on Ganghwa Island and a guide for the escort convoy.
One of the figures connected to the Gwaneum Boju (the sacred relic), Geol Seung joins the escort team at Baek Gyeol's (Ahn Bo Hyun) request, embarking on a journey to protect the nation. Pragmatic by nature, she gets caught up in unexpected events after Baek Gyeol's arrival, setting her on a far-from-smooth path.
The stills capture Geol Seung in various moments, from an owner to the escort team's guide. From her comfortable attire during the journey to find the sacred relic to her more elaborately dressed-up looks, Geol Seung's multifaceted charm shines through in different circumstances. Even in the stills alone, Ha Yoon Kyung conveys Geol Seung's uniquely free-spirited, mischievous personality, raising anticipation for her performance.

Geol Seung is a highly skilled survivor who knows how to hold her own even among the Byeolcho warriors. Beneath her bold and sly manner, she harbors a kind heart and deep Buddhist faith. As the escort team's only female member, it remains to be seen what dynamic Geol Seung will develop with the distinctly individualistic team members, and whether she can safely complete the perilous mission alongside them.
Sacred Jewel premieres December 5 and will be available worldwide on Amazon Prime Video.
