Ha Young, who found herself at the center of controversy after her family's past came to light, will resume filming for the drama The Long Shot Trial, which is currently in production.

On August 20, Ha Young's agency, BISTUS Entertainment, told SPOTV News regarding the resumption of filming for SBS's The Long Shot Trial, "We are currently continuing with the current filming schedule."

The agency added, "We ask for your understanding that it is difficult for us to provide specific details regarding the schedule or the progress at this time," taking a cautious stance.

However, the production team behind The Long Shot Trial stated to SPOTV News, "We are taking the recent matter involving one of the cast members very seriously. We are currently discussing the matter carefully from various angles with the production company and relevant parties. We will inform you through official channels as soon as any decisions are made."

Ha Young, who had been filming her upcoming drama The Long Shot Trial, came under heavy public criticism after her great-grandfather Ahn Sang Ho's past was revealed following the broadcast of a variety show she appeared on earlier this month to promote her new drama Our Sticky Love. In the wake of the controversy, she reportedly took a break from filming with the production team's consideration.

Amid the controversy, reports said Ha Young would return to the set. As The Long Shot Trial has already completed a substantial portion of filming, it appears the scenes already scheduled will proceed according to the original production schedule for now.

Meanwhile, The Long Shot Trial is a legal comedy investigation drama about a law office led by Kwon Baek (Lee Je Hoon), a former lawyer now working as a law office manager, as they turn around seemingly "unwinnable fights".

Ha Young stars as one of the leads alongside Lee Je Hoon. The drama is currently being prepared with the goal of premiering in the first half of next year.
