Hong Min Gi's agency addresses ex-girlfriend's forced abortion claims

Hong Min Gi's agency has denied allegations from his ex-girlfriend (hereinafter referred to as "Ms. A") that he pressured her to have an abortion.

After the agency issued a statement on August 19, Ms. A made additional allegations, claiming that she experienced verbal abuse and gaslighting during their relationship and was pressured to terminate her pregnancy.

On the morning of August 20, Hong Min Gi's agency Fable Company released another statement addressing and refuting the claims.

Hello, this is Fable Company.

We would like to share our position regarding the additional posts recently made public by Ms. A concerning our agency's actor, Hong Min Gi.

In her additional posts, Ms. A claims that she discovered she was pregnant while she was in a relationship with the actor and subsequently underwent an abortion. She also stated that she has medical records and ultrasound images to support these claims.

In fact, at around 6 a.m. on August 19, 2026, Ms. A sent the actor an ultrasound image along with a message saying, "Shut up before I expose everything." However, prior to this, Ms. A had never shown the actor any such ultrasound images.

Furthermore, the ultrasound image in question differs from what would ordinarily be expected of an image showing a pregnancy. Accordingly, our company has asked an obstetrics and gynecology medical professional [to verify the ultrasound image sent by Ms. A], and we intend to submit the findings as evidence.

Furthermore, after confirming with the actor, we have established that Ms. A never showed him a pregnancy test, and contrary to Ms. A's claims, the actor categorically never made any remarks urging or pressuring her to have an abortion.

Moreover, on July 13 — the very day Ms. A claims she underwent an abortion — she suggested to the actor that they go cycling together. When the actor declined, she personally sent him a video of herself riding a bicycle alone. Our company has secured and retained the entire conversation and video.

Pregnancy and abortion are extremely sensitive and serious matters. Nevertheless, Ms. A publicly posted entirely false claims on social media, including alleging that the actor pressured her to have an abortion after learning of her pregnancy. As a result, the actor has once again suffered severe damage to his reputation and image, to an extent that will be difficult to repair.

Our company will no longer respond by repeatedly refuting the other party's false claims.

Based on the evidence we have secured thus far, we will immediately pursue the necessary civil and criminal legal proceedings to ensure that the facts surrounding this matter are clearly established.

Lastly, we sincerely ask that you refrain from indiscriminate speculation, as well as the further spread and amplification of unverified claims, as doing so may cause additional harm not only to the actor but also to everyone involved in the matter.
