Han So Hee is confirmed to lead the upcoming Korean remake of the Hollywood film The Intern.

On July 31, Han So Hee's agency 9ATO Entertainment announced that Han So Hee is joining the cast of Intern

Intern will tell the story of a young CEO who started a business and became successful after only 1 year and 6 months. She then hires a 70-year-old intern who has a lot of work and life experience.  

According to previous reports, actor Choi Min Sik will lead the film as the 70-year-old intern (played by Robert De Niro). 

Han So Hee is set to portray Jules (originally played by Anne Hathaway) in the Korean remake. Her character is a highly successful CEO in her 30s who, in just 18 months, has grown her company to 220 employees. A strong leader, Jules struggles to balance her demanding career with family life.

Intern will be the next work of director Kim Do Young, who also created the 2019 hit film Kim Ji Young: Born 1982.

The Korean remake Intern will be the joint work of Anthology Studio and Warner Bros. According to reports, Intern will begin filming in September this year. 

The release date for The Intern remake has not yet been confirmed.

Before Han So Hee greets viewers as a successful CEO, she will first return to the big screen with the upcoming film Project Y. She will work alongside Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Shin Rok, Kim Sung Cheol, and Oh My Girls' YooA in the upcoming action thriller series. 

Han So Hee is known for starring in the K-dramas Gyeongseong Creature, Soundtrack #1, My Name, Nevertheless, The World of the Married, and more.
