Hong Kong singer and actor Aarif Rahman becomes a father

On September 25, Hong Kong singer and actor Aarif Rahman, aka Li Zhi Ting, announced that he had become a father on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, writing, "A new addition to the family, making our family complete ❤️." He also shared a photo of himself holding a child's tiny hand alongside a mooncake.

Previously, on March 14, 2023, Aarif Rahman attended an event wearing a wedding ring and revealed that he had been married for several months.

According to media reports, Aarif publicly confirmed his marriage while attending an event and speaking to the press that day. He said: "I got married a few months ago. I originally wanted to keep it low-key, but I was photographed with my new girlfriend. Actually, she's just a friend. If I didn't come forward to respond, it seemed like it wouldn’t make sense. I never intended to make it public. I also held the wedding quietly while I was abroad, but since I was asked about it, I responded."

Aarif said that his wife is not from the entertainment industry and is more than five years younger than him. Since she is not a public figure, he never intended to make her public, as she would not be comfortable with it.

Reports say that the two have been dating for several years, and like him, she is of mixed Chinese and foreign heritage.

Aarif Rahman was born in Hong Kong on February 26, 1987. He graduated from Imperial College London with a degree in physics and is a Hong Kong singer, musician, and actor.

In 2010, he won the Hong Kong Film Award for Best New Performer for his role in the film Echoes of the Rainbow and the Best Original Film Song Award for performing its theme song. That same year, he starred in the action film Bruce Lee, My Brother.

He has also appeared in the historical drama The Empress of China and composed its theme song, as well as starring in the kung fu comedy film Kung Fu Yoga, among other works.
