i-dle member Minnie (Minnie Nicha Yontararak) is set to return to acting with a remake film.
On August 12, Cube Entertainment announced that idle's Minnie will make her debut on the big screen through the Thai remake of the 2004 hit romantic comedy film 50 First Dates. The agency stated that Minnie will demonstrate her "upgraded, bright, and adorable charms" in her debut leading role.
50 First Dates is a popular 2004 American film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The story follows a man who falls for a woman with short-term memory loss. The man decided to win her heart over again every single day.
Minnie will star alongside Thai actor and model Nadech Kugimiya, who also appeared in the Thai remake of the K-drama My Love from Another Star. In the upcoming film, Minnie will play the female lead who suffers from short-term memory loss.
The upcoming Thai remake will be the next work of director Mez Tharatorn, who also created the works The Con-Heartist, I Fine..Thank You..Love You, The Little Comedian, and more.

In 2021, Minnie had her first acting gig through the Netflix original K-drama So Not Worth it. She worked alongside Park Se Wan, Shin Hyun Seung, GOT7's Choi Young Jae, Han Hyun Min, and Terris Brown in the rom-com series.
While she is taking on solo projects, Minnie remains an active member of her K-pop group, i-dle. The entire group is scheduled to perform at the Japanese music festival Summer Sonic 2025 on August 16th and 17th.
Minnie debuted with the K-pop group (G)I-DLE in 2018, where she serves as the main vocalist. This year, she also launched her solo career, releasing her first mini-album, "HER," in January, with the title track also named "HER."
