SBS has released a new teaser for My Royal Nemesis.
My Royal Nemesis follows a notorious villainess from the Joseon era who finds herself in the body of an unknown actress, Shin Seo Ri (Im Ji Yeon), after being given poison, and Cha Se Gye (Heo Nam Jun), a ruthless chaebol.
The teaser opens with Cha Sa Gye pulling Seo Ri, who is standing in the middle of the road, to save her from a passing car. Sa Gye begins scolding Seo Ri, assuming she is trying to harm herself. Whereas Seo Ri mistakes Sa Gye for a molester.
They start an uncompromising "flower duel" in the middle of the road, hitting each other with leaves and flowers.
Mistaking Sa Gye for a scoundrel, Seo Ri shouts, "You scoundrel! How dare you speak such filthy words with that dirty mouth of yours!" before slapping him.
She keeps scolding him loudly, calling out his conduct as rude and inappropriate. The exchange quickly spirals into a heated confrontation as both sides fire off sharp insults.
Living up to his reputation, Sa Gye immediately pulls out his wallet and asks, "How much do you want?" under the assumption that Seo Ri is running a scam. This only fuels her anger further. She then snatches a palm leaf from a passing flower delivery truck and starts striking him with it. He too grabs a bouquet from the same truck and fights back, turning the scene into an hilarious flower battle in the middle of the road.
My Royal Nemesis is set to premiere on May 8. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix. Stay tuned!
