The individual behind the Lee Yi Kyung controversy changed her story, confessing that she used AI to generate the conversation with the actor.
On October 22, the person who uploaded the original post about Lee Yi Kyung sending sexual messages suddenly changed her story, admitting and apologizing that she started the post as a joke, but it received so much attention. The individual also stated that she used AI for the photos. She also revealed that at first, she did it for fun, but now she feels guilty about the situation, so she decided to confess. The individual also stated that as she created the post with the use of AI images, she also gradually came to believe they were real. All contents have now been deleted in all the individual's accounts.
Two days ago, alleged screenshots of Lee Yi Kyung's explicit DMs and KakaoTalks to an individual, allegedly showing requests for body photos and breast size, went viral across online communities before the original post was removed. Lee Yi Kyung's agency denied the rumors, announcing it is preparing legal action for damages from the spread of false information. The next day, the individual once again showed up on social media and continued posting about Lee Yi Kyung.
Following the individual's sudden confession, netizens are divided. Some speculate that the person received a settlement from Lee Yi Kyung, while others sympathize with the actor for having his name unfairly tarnished by the fake controversy.

With this, it seems that Lee Yi Kyung's ongoing and upcoming projects will not get affected by the controversy.
